Look, I may have had two orange vodkas at this point, but I started tearing up just to see you guys having a laugh together (I'm an American in Germany- been in lockdown for about 5 weeks). I think everybody questions their career choices at a certain point, but I want to let you know how much I appreciate both of you and your willingness to raise our spirits even in this hell. The beauty of escapism is real, and I can't thank you enough for putting yourselves out there (contractual or not) despite everything. Thank you, Seth. Thank you, John.

The Late Night set was great and I'm sure that it's super weird performing to your computer but it's segments like that that remind me that I'm not just a fan of Late Night With Seth Meyers and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver; I'm a fan of Seth and John and the rest is simply window dressing.

I'm finding a lot of commenters on RU-vid are complaining how the "gub-mint" is keeping us from interacting with each other, and Seth and John showed us how to do it right in these trying times of helping our health and the support of our essential workers. Do a video call, or even a phone call, with a good friend or family member who you understand and understands you back, and it makes the day feel better.

I understand. When the NBA announced the closing of the season my daughter and I were so sad. I mean, we were far sadder about the growing disaster, not yet declared a pandemic but certainly something edging in that direction. So, yeah, sport is an important part of normalcy for many of us. Just one more reminder that what we’re living through is not normal

During this period of self quarantine I've enjoyed watching these videos from talk show hosts like Seth, John Oliver and Bill Maher. I find it funny that they've all made some comment about being RU-vidrs now. I have to admit that I am surprised nobody has actually had a legit RU-vid streamer on as a guest. You know to maybe talk about audio, lighting and camera placement. Just saying.

But at least we beat Spain (5-1) and Brazil (3-0) for once, which was a nice consolation. And 2018 & 2016... never happened. And 2020.. will not be happening either.

Gosh, now I saw the end before the middle part because the parts were out of order on the channel and it seems like they're even out of order in the playlist. Both Seth Meyers and John Oliver give out important information but in an amusing format. My last Sports distraction was about the time the HC and QB of the ONE NFL Team I watched each week did not withdraw their support for the Orange DICKtator. For those not yet aware, that WOULD BE the New England Patriots and yes, I have not watched since before the Season they went to the Super Bowl and lost to the poorly named "City of Brotherly Love" and no, I did not watch the pre-Season, the Season nor the playoffs, nor ANY GAMES including the Super Bowl Games. I believe in Free speech which is why I continued to watch after they first supported Trump but when they "wouldn't get involved" soon after Trump began letting the country down (such as bragging about "the size" of the crowd at his Inauguration so yeah, pretty quickly). They involved themselves before but not after, so I stopped supporting, stopped watching them, I am better for it. I dropped to one team when the NFL tried getting viewers to watch more. 7 hours of television on a Sunday? No thanks. Prior to that, I had even switched to watching only when they played at night and somewhat cstching the game live on the radio while doing something else if it was a day game (don't have TIVO). Plenty of fresh air and creatures worth loving instead.

Liverpool deserve the title 100% they were so many points ahead it is as if God allowed one team to be a ridiculous amount of points ahead so that no one could say with any conviction, but they did not win it properly. Everyone and their dog knows very well Liverpool would have won the title with a stupid amount of points more than the team placed second.

VVD is a huge Disney fan, that's why he recognized Lion King things. Glad that this time John Oliver didn't mention the selfish ass when talking about Liverpool players.

No John, no, the loss of soccer is devastating.celtic FC was right at the cusp of a huge championship title as well and I’m not yet passed that being cut short and they win a lot of championships, Liverpool fans have a right to be miserable.
