It makes me so sad that he is no longer with us. John was tremendously talented, and continues to make me laugh. My world is a better place because of his humor.
Came to say the same thing and ya beat me to it. 🙏❤️ John is a 'one of a kind' comedian for me. Absolutely hilarious. He has, and still does, help keep me going in this world. His work has always brought me happiness. Endless laughs. Will forever miss this great man. We love you, John Pinette!
He often swears, that's okay. Why do sexual jokes repulse you? Sex is fertile ground for humor. I'm gonna guess that because of his size his sex life may have been non average. Perhaps that's why he didn't make too many, or any, jokes on that subject. He is an exceptionally talented comedian. What makes jokes great is insight, intelligence, unexpected twist, novel viewpoint, making listeners see something from an others point of view. He does it all.
I don’t know if johns family will see this, but I am going through a very hard time right now. I had the luck of seeing John before he left us, and it was a wonder Night. That’s why I’ve been watching him the past two days, and it’s been my only pleasure. John is always going to be missed, and I’m so glad I can watch him here to get me through this hard time. Thank you forever.
I never get tired of listening to John Pinette. Sadly I never got the chance to see him live on stage. Just a few short days after I'd watched one of his videos I heard that he had passed away. R.I.P. John. You are greatly missed sir. 😢
My favorite comedian. I met him in person twice. Nicest guy in the world. Hilarious as the schlock movie producer in the movie, Reckless Kelly. RIP friend. You are sorely missed. I will repair a toaster in your honor.
Bee Free - I don’t find a lot of swearing in his material. I know know there is some, but mainly hell and other minor swear words. I was shocked when I heard him say the f and the b word. I feel that John swears less than most comedians and find his humour very tame.
We were fortunate enough to see John perform a couple of times at the Improv in Irvine. There was a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in the mall where the Improv is located. He was dieting but he bought cheesecake for the entire audience. He was a dear, generous, funny man. We miss him so much. Rest in Peace, dearest John. 💝💥
His delivery is SO good. The facial expressions, the yelling, his timing - truly a great comedian. I feel honored to have seen him when he opened for Frank Sinatra at the Greek Theatre in L.A. in 1991. He said later that it was that job - opening for Sinatra on his tour of that year, part of Sinatra's Diamond Tour - that put him on the map. That was a nice little bonus. And Sinatra was good too!
Sheer Genius! What a tremendous talent. If I’m having a bad day I just watch John Pinette routine and in thirty seconds my mood transforms. RIP John, we miss you so....
My wife and I watch John Pinette's shows regularly on RU-vid and always love them. He was SO talented, as a comedian and singer; and so likable. And all without vulgarity or ever using cruel comedy (he was always respectful of others). We were devastated to hear that he had passed away. In my mind, he must be counted among the greatest comedians of all time.
I have to agree! His talent was just beyond. The singing, broadway theater skills, and multi-languages were used with perfect effect. This big man was simply adorable. I get the feeling of real kindness from him too in the way he made eye contact and smiled with the audience. When I grow up....
ah damn I miss him ... it takes heart and talent to be funny without trying to shock or push the limits of decency ... i wish there was more of his material online
What's getting me is I'm seeing all these posts that were put up FIVE years ago and it's hard to believe he's been gone that long!!!I sincerely haven't been able to watch his videos until just THIS WEEK,! And I didn't realize that I had waited THAT long to see him again. And his comedy is as fresh and funny as it was the first time I heard it.
Lucky Barber ,Miss him he was a very awesome and wonderful LMAO will be missed, too early for him to pass on,very happy to have meet him.will be missed one Love Amen
Had front row seats to his headliner show on a royal Caribbean cruise. Me my wife and kids laughed so hard we were coughing and crying. And I actually got to see him in the cruise ship buffet line! LOL
Sometimes you have to leave home to do what you want to do and love to do. Just like The Beatles who had to go to Germany for people to realize how good they were. We in Canada thank John Pinette for coming here to share his humor with us on Just for Laughs. We in Canada miss you and will never forget you.....RIP Big Boy!
I used to see him every time he was in NY. I got his autograph on his CD.he used to be oit in the lobby before his shows talking with everyone. He was a VERY personable guy. Adter one if his shows we hung out by the bar and talked for 45 min, just him and I. He used to be an accountant! He must of had the office in stiches. He would study the areas he was going to perform at to learn about local customs, food places etc. to include in his act. He always said he wanted his routine to be family friendly. He found humor in everyday life. John, thank you for choosing the right career and sharing it with us. RIP my friend.
Thank You for sharing that nice encounter with John. I watch him on You Tube all the time and still laugh. I miss him and his sense of humor. He was one of the greats!
I can relate to so many instances he talks about. Back in the day , I went thru a local Community college we had. I took the forest management course because I loved the outdoors and wanted to work with the NCFS. I worked 2 fire seasons with them for my internship. Great people. We had backpacking , canoeing and repelling trips each semester and I never missed the canoeing and repelling trips but hiking uphill carrying the gear I normally take when camping? Remember I was in my late teens and early 20's. I mistaking signed up for a backpacking trip once. Fortunately we had a substitute professor who wasn t into walking uphill ( backpacking) any more than I was, but..... the first morning , I guess so if anyone asked , he said we needed to take a short ( 5 mile) hike on a trail ( thank God). Everyone got there packs prepared. I really liked the hard core guys that packed everything they had, including their damn tents. I guess in case we got lost ( on the damn trail) they wouldn't sleep under the stars, I decided to take my chances , I m a big Chris Ladoux fan anyway. My loaded my pack with 1 extra pac of Marlboros and a piece of pac of JOB 1.5 papers. That s it. All I needed for a days hike. God Bless ChrIs Ladoux!!! RIP.
I remember reading an interview Mr. Pinette did where he talked about his visits to Canada and he was very kind and complimentary about us. He said he had never been treated so well and never met so many nice and kind people, he was especially impressed with the East and Quebec. You can easily see the affection the audience has for him and vice versa in this performance in Montreal.
Wonderful, hilarious and huge heart-gone, way, too soon! Had the pleasure of meeting him about ten years ago and he expressed to me his "uncomfortable" feeling of the public. Loved him, even more. Thank you for the countless laughter you provided, John. You are sorely missed.
A comic genius... A man who can laugh at himself is a man who can truly laugh. A man who could only be copied.. Never replaced... R.I.P Thank you for the decent, clever infection called humour that you spread more easily than soft butter. Peaceful Journey...
its going to be very hard to find another comic like this man..he wasnt afraid to laugh at himself..or make fun of himself...he made everyone feel good...he would laugh along with you...
Robert Gosselin I fully agree with you he didn't need to swear to get his jokes across to the audience. His timing was always perfect and when he would tell some of his stories about doing things with friends he could convey some of the story through his facial expressions. Like the beaver tail story and how he couldn't stop or the story about him passing gas in the van with the windows up and the heat being on. His facial expressions could sometimes tell half of the jokes and stories, lol. R.I.P. John, gone but not forgotten. Hands down one of the best.😂😂😂
He really was too funny for this world. Quite possibly the greatest clean comedian to ever live. It truly makes me sad that he passed away. Such an incredible talent
JOHN STILL IS THE FUNNIEST MAN GOD EVER CREATED HE HAS MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD, HE WAS AND STILL IS THE BEST RELEVER FOR STRESS, I STILL LOVE HIM, BLESS HIS WONDERFUL HEART OF GOLD. AMEN JOHN , U ROCK
