Watching John pull bigger guys is like seeing a sports car play tug of war with a truck. You expect the truck to win but when when the sports car gets even close to beating or beats the truck it’s just awe inspiring
alexey is so strong he once laid down on his back with his hands extended over his head and had a guy that weighed 90 something kilograms stand on his hands . he lifted the mofo all the way up off the ground
@@deepakdubey1130 You can litterally type his name to google and click wikipedia where it sais Vojevoda was elected in 2016 state deputy. His party is part of Putins party.
No way, he need time to catch Denis ! Denis has most impresive hand in arm wrestling! But Voevoda has a mind of champion, he will be on top 10 probably! Levan Morozov Ermes are hard to beat now, almost imposible for Alexey!
@@mirospajic9929 Yeah... except for the fact that Alexi is already hanging with and beating Denis in their sparring sessions. But hey fanboys will be fanboys I guess.
@@ammaraftab1096your dumb john is our favorite cause he is the GREATEST ARMWRESTLER. The sport is the greatest because pf him so i will always stand up for him we dont cry. You are just not very smart person
@@user9675 And both significantly bigger than Devon, actually, how often did you see either Denis or Levan pull a bigger guy? Almost never. They are always roided to the gills and bigger than their opponent.
@@kasparov9944 how often do you see Devon pull a smaller guy? Most of the hands he touches are of smaller guys. How valiant of you to defend him when he goes into a these matches convinced he has a legit shot to win and yaps arrogantly in lead up to keep his fanboys obliviously hooked on...Devon is not half as strong as you fetishize about.
@@user9675 Right.....and he steps on these smaller hands like an ant, which is expected, same way the much larger Levan was expected to crush Devon and he did. For the record I've felt Devon on the table, he is stronger than you can imagine.
The match is a reminder of the good old days of armwrestling 💪, we all know the result, with this match we will see approximately where Voevoda is on the list
Too much ego. John's fat and out of shape but seems to think he can still hang. It reminds me of when Jordan went to the Wizards all fat and slow. It's like they forget how hard it was to get to the top and start believing they will win on their name alone. It's not a good look to lose a bunch of matches all in a row before retiring for good but that's just my opinion.
John greatest arm wrestler ever he never was superheavyweight giant Even today if he was in prime he domantor 90-100kg weight class fact he still compete amazing 💪
But why would he? His interest in pulling stems from the challenges he can give himself, now he's in the privileged position of having nothing to prove and being able to choose opponents he wants to test himself against. I think he's in a great place and the longer he's able to pull the better for all of us, losing or winning nonwithstanding
@@nicholasthomas3635 it won't tarnish his name to most people but I personally see him as less of a 'hero' now. He's starting to look pretty pathetic compared to the past, which is normal but he's fat and doesn't train hard, doesn't seem to care. Not very impressive imo.
Folks seem to ignore the fact that John's from a different era of the sport than guys like Alexey and Denis..for John it was more like a hobby than a profession where they went to tournaments on weekends mainly for the love of the sport ..nobody put in anywhere near the kinda effort ( or PEDs ) that most guys started to put in the mid 2000s...he developed his skills and strength at the table..it's almost not a fair fight when someone from that era goes up against much younger ,heavier guys who train like crazy ..John still did quite well from 2006-2009 cuz he's an exceptional athlete but it was kinda like the flame being the brightest before it goes out.. Who knows what he'd have been like if he'd spent his career in a context that exists today..
I'm a guy from Sweden. My favourite is Devon Larratt for a what he does for the sport but also for how good he is at armwrestling but trust me when i say that there are two more armwrestlers that just blows my mind and those are Ermes and Voevoda 🙏💪❤️ One more that i would like to see again soon is Oleg Zhokh 👏
Ah.... back to armwrestling news, not paparazzi armwrestling news. Given that John isn't really in peak form, I think Voevoda's current size will really test John's stamina, which isn't the greatest lately.
Like Denis, Vo will never be as before, but w/time he can both gain the size to be a threat AND improve technique by table time's. Just imagine if he and say DL were to secretly pull practices for a few weeks. They & couple more Russian's.
What's the age gap between these two? I'm rootin for John of course but he's gonna have a rough day it's looking like 😬😳 but if anyone can pull it off it's the goat 💪🇺🇸🤘
@@tallpaulhutchensjr. Yeah..John was already 40 for their last match..22 yrs into his career, considering retirement..and a different era of arm wrestling was beginning where it became more of s real profession as money got better and guys trained hard like John never did..it was just something most guys did as a hobby and those who loved the sport competed a lot...it's a surprise John didn't lose more often to guys like Voevoda
@@karuonline3294 I agree with everything except about John probably would've lost to everyone lol. John beat alot of strong and big dudes and still hangin with the big dogs at age almost 60yrs old. That alone is pretty impressive 💪 🐐
@@tallpaulhutchensjr. Oh i didn't say that ...I know he beat guys way bigger than him..I'm saying it's amazing that he did as well as he did against the new gen of arm wrestlers who were a lot younger, trained way harder and were often heavier and juiced to the gills..for his generation arm wrestling was more like a hobby they loved..not much money and hardly any specific training off the table...no meticulous prep in studying the opponents eithr ..and they still competed a lot more than guys do today
Voevoda is a machine , he was the best in the world in arm wrestling and then he became an olympic champion in bobsleigh in 2011, tell me who else did it, the guy knows his body and his abilities better than anyone on this planet
By the way, before saying where he’s from, I mean Voevoda so he is not from Russia, and he is not Russian. He was born in Ukraine do your homework same thing with Denis he was born in Ukraine. …. And I know Dennis personally he is from my city of Kryvyi Rih Ukraine very very sad that those two Ukrainian arm wrestlers represent the country they’re not belong to. It’s a shame.
If the match stops, I don’t think Vovoeda has been training enough to have the endurance to beat John’s hand. We all know the Russians portray false information in their training videos to hype a match, they are no fool
After came back from retirement John is a different armwrestler from what he used to be... Ofcourse the power is there... But his old age ailments prevents him from being his old self... He looks like a different armwrestler now...
Yeah ..2004 was also a low point in John's career ..he was considering retirement..if you check his record he didn't do well in 2005 either..Alexey never faced John at his best
What is strongest John? Its not Vojevodas fault, he dominated for short time in armwrestling then moved on to different sport and politics. And they only pulled once.
@@karuonline3294 I thought it was young John somewhere 80-90s John when he didnt lost to people. Atleast some people say.. Nah i dont really know what is best John, doubt it was 2008 aswell...
@@SovietUnionn there are different aspects..his physical peak was probably in his 20s or early 30s..but he was a smarter arm wrestler later on ..had his best years from 2006-2009 winning 7-8 titles at Zloty includin 2 in the open category..even though he had a lot of mileage by then and several physical issues
Man you exaggerate words and make shit up like anything, he didn't say he pulled him, he only said that alexey was giving him advice on how to pull ion onescu and in that he was lifting him all over, and hes glad he didn't have to pull him that day. He never said they practice pulled.😂
@@karuonline3294 how can you guys not be excited about this match. THE GOAT VS THE MAJESTIC ONE. It's crazy lol. Throw your hate asides and just cheer for your man. Crazy people hate someone like voevoda 😭
@@karuonline3294 It's sad but true! Let's hope the Goat pulls off the big upset! If the stem cells help him half as much as they've helped Devon you never know. Stay strong and healthy 💪
@@ARMWRESTLINGNEWZ Based on what information? John was declared 85kg versus Taras Ivakin in 2007 Ukraine which was around the same time as his match with Ion.
Hutchings vs Brzenk will tell us all we need to know. If John controls Hutchings and beats him, then i think he has great chance of beating Alexy. He probably loses the first match but he may be able to fatigue Alexy we will see.
lets not forget he had the entirety of the russian olympic training program behind him, which would make any other armwrestlers armwrestling resources look like a bag of skittles, from the best nutrition, best doctors, best athletic doctors and trainers, and lets not forget bar none the best steroid program on the entire planet at the time.
Michael Todd, not Tard. If you know the English word "odd", then "Todd" sounds just like that but with a "T" sound at the beginning. What you're saying is "tard", as in "retard". I can speak only one language, so I commend you for being (at least) bilingual. Just trying to help out on a glaring mispronunciation.
Voevoda doesn't have my respect, he beat a 95kg demotivated John with massive amounts of gear. When John got bigger and motivated in 2005 he was no where to be seen. Now he's challenging 60 year John with serious miles on the clock. Lets be honest serious steroids weight and time beat John in Alexys case, nothing more.
John did get bigger but didn't do well in 2005 ...2006 was far better.. And while I do respect Voevoda, I think he would have lost at the same weight and without the kinda training he did for a long time..John never did that
I think John should just retire, it is kinda sad to see him lose against everyone, thank God this is not boxing, but still, it is an art to know when to retire. But maybe he can win against Voejevoda, who has been out of sport for a decade. We will see.
@@jayclean5653 But is it interesting for you as arm wrestling fan to see yet another match with him and know well he will as always lose? Naturally he can do whatever he wants, but what is the point of competition if there is no actual competition? If you say he is top 3 in his weight (i am not even sure it is true and what is his weight) he should, naturally in my humble opinion, stay in that weight if he can beat anyone there, rather then taking on people everyone knows he can not beat no matter what.
