I'm from NY & John's mom & Linda are such super typical American/Italian mostly moms. I know so many women like that, one of my closest friends most of my life is like that & so was her mom, her aunts & some cousins. Her family are from Sicily.

Linda's voice when she sings in season 8 episode 5 ending made be believe it could be a woman singing.

I wish he would do more of his Brooklyn mom videos. They are hilarious and I still watch them after all these years. The Christmas Tree song is one I still play during the holidays.

I liked hearing what John Roberts really sounds like in this video. With Linda and Jocelyn, I think he is the only male voice actor voicing a female character (that of which I know) who can actually sound feminine. I LOVE this show, one of the sweetest, funniest, cleanest shows ever made, but lord I hate Linda's and Teddy's voices with a mad passion. They are not bad voices or bad actors, mind you, this isn't some failing or flaw on the performers parts, I just detest the sound of those voices....and they're popular, esp. Linda, so you hear them a lot. They particularly love to make Linda sing, and oh, nails on chalkboard. I dig his story about having to tape up his nose to do that one voice....some of the tricks of the trade are a hoot and I have tremendous respect for the lengths these people go to to get the goods out.
