@@richardwightman Well said Richard. I'm neither a Forest fan or a Leicester fan, but remember Robertson very well. (Congrats on Leicester's title, BTW). I remember Leicester having some fantastic players in the 70s; Keith Weller and Frank Worthington...wow, phenomenal players!

@@0secure12 Yes luckily I started going in the 70's when Weller and Frankie and Glover were playing, great times. Our title win still hasn't sunk in with me don't think it ever will and I would be gutted if they cancelled this season as we would miss champions league. When we went abroad in champions league we all thought it was a one off.

@@MightBeBray Yup, truly amazing. Bringing in Shilton was a masterstroke by Clough and Taylor. I also remember Martin O'Neill being pretty amazing. But as a left winger/forward myself when I used to play (sigh), Robertson definitely caught my eye. He almost seemed so lazy and slow, but 99 times out of a 100, he'd get past you and put in a superb cross!

I’ve been looking a lot at this stuff recently. Scotland since football began till the 90s had world class players and I think many who know a lot about football would agree Scotland were always a top 10 nation even producing more better players than England for decades. Most English teams best ever players are Scottish or at least 5/10 and in 90% of English teams that won European trophies or were dominating the league had Scottish players. The fact he never won that or ballon dor can only show how corrupt stuff like that is when you see a lot of people that have won it. Dalglish probably the best ever player from British isles with Best and Charlton and never won it either. It can only show that there’s clearly a bias against the Scottish league and the players who even play in better leagues. Celtic won it fairly easy and Johnstone finished 3rd behind charlton who won nothing and some Hungarian guy that got 30 goals but only won the league. To make things worse you have those that run the Scottish game who are just as corrupt with dodgy refs and not picking the best players to play at world cups and euros. Not a single nation I know never picked their best players. Every tournament we were seen as one of the favourites and we never once got out the groups. Glorious failures is what we are. Also Robertson has been the best left back in the world the past 2 years. Can anyone tell me if he was even in top 50 ballon dor????? The evidence is all there.

Charlton only because they won the World Cup and Keegan and Owen winning it was a farce. Although Owen was great nowhere near the best and Keegan wasn’t anywhere near Dalglish back then. Stanley Matthews another who won it but fuck knows how he was about 50😂 Just look at how many Scots have been nominated for ballon dor and placed high, barley any. English teams all dominated by Scottish players for decades and most being their best players and that’s with teams winning leagues and European trophies, along with those still in Scotland doing well in Europe and Celtic being dominant in Europe always in semis and quarters , 2 finals and not a single winner. Johnstone 3rd when we won it. It’s corrupt and it always has been. Obviously there are clear winners most times but fuck me it’s so blatant they couldn’t give a fuck about Scotland and the players playing at a major level.

Just like to add Dalglish never won a ballon dor despite being the best player ever from UK maybe Best but there’s an argument. Scotland and Liverpool best ever player and 2nd is the best he got ahahahah FUCK OFF.

He maybe wasn’t the fastest but he had a turn of speed or a really good bit of acceleration to usually always get past the other guy even if that guy was speedy......yes that with awareness and skill
