We would go to his house and watch movies and he would come to ours for dinner and to play bridge. This is a video I did the year the Newport Beach Film Festival celebrated John Wayne’s 100th birthday.

For Jennifer Wayne..... I live in Indianola Iowa. John Wayne's grandfather was the county Treasurer....Michael Morrison.....his son ( John Wayne's father. Attended Simpson College and became a pharmacist. After he graduated he went to Winterset Iowa about 30 miles away. Married and John was born there. His home town. The little white house he was born in is a John Wayne museum now and they have a small park with a tall statue of Marion Michael Morrison ( John Wayne) the home his grandparents lived in and where his father grew up / lived is a beautiful home just 5 blocks from our house. The owners now found the Morrison family Bible in the very back of a closet shelf. John has some Morrison cousins still living here. They have the big Bible. Last time I talked to him he thought he would donate it to the John Wayne Museum in Winterset Iowa. Google The Museum in Winterset and take a virtual tour. 🌟🐴🐎🎬📽🌟
