John Wick has been on 30% health the entire series 😂

IT WAS'NT JUST A DOG, it was a gift from his recently departed( dead) wife who gifted john the dog so he would still feel love and not hate,and when they killed his dog, it was like they killed his wife,and that is why the dog in the 1st one is important,that is what started it all. The whole “crowd in a nightclub not giving AF when assassins are running through riddling everyone with bullets thing” has been a recurring scene in all these movies tho🤣🤣

People forget that Daisy and the car was avenged at the end of Chapter 1. He went back to his normal life. It wasn't until D'Antonio came to his krib with that damn marker and back stabbed him after honoring the marker. So in turn killing a High Table member, he's on the run and has to survive as he comes for the entire table. How would you feel if you're trying to retire and all these sumbitches keep coming after you? SMDH

It's Keanu's characterization for John. I think it works well. He's an extreme introvert, which makes sense.

Keanu may not be able to deliver dialogue but he is so good at the action and physicality of the role so he is deserving.

The wildest thing to me about John Wick is that the time frame of the whole story (which started in 2014) is less than 8 months, and a whole 6 months of that time is a flash forward after recovering from getting shot and falling off the hotel roof.

The way he delivers the lines has become a big part of the character. He's a man of action not talking

Surprisingly enough Keanu is capable of delivering lines correctly when forced to. On Speed, he was fairly fluid. I think as he becomes more dangerous physically his attention to elecution is left to do whatever.

I think Keanu is playing Wick progressively "tired and exhausted" as the chapters progress. This (imo) is why the dialog is so much slower and needs so much more energy to get out. The timeline for all of these chapters in total isn't that long. So, by the middle of chapter 3 wick has not really rested since he is constantly on the run. Chapt 1 he is getting back into action. Chapter 2 he is in his prime again. Chapter 3 begins the mad rush of constant movement and ends with him literally RUNNING for his life. Now chapter 4 picks up with him still running. And ends with him finally coming to rest.

He didn't say the line that bad. That's the way John Wick talks. They could of gave him a better line to say or make him more talkative but they didn't. John wick is a man of action.

The extras who kept dancing made it feel like it was a Street Fighter level.

The strange thing is that his delivery in the first John Wick is actually good. The scene in which he's tied up and screams "So you can either hand over your son or you can die screaming alongside him!" is done really well. So I think at this point he's just phoning it in.

Hiroyuki Sanada deserves more love, he was great in his role too as usual

The action scenes are like paintings, everything so meticulously put together, from the color, the lightning, and of course the stunt choreography and we get to spend almost three hours watching these paintings. And we get to marvel at all the actors/stuntmen who put in their sweat, blood and tears to entertain us.

Corey had me Rollin at work with the Keanu impression I can seriously watch any of the 3 well 4 John Wick movies and be in fucking awe watching everytime The fucking Gunplay is sooo smooth, every character means something, Halle Berry's dogs in 3 was soo badass

Personally I've always found the fact he struggles to talk/communicate very deliberate... he's not trying to under or over act. He's playing a role he is natural at, very very well... I think the point that makes him more awesome is his social awkwardness

I don't care what anyone says. I love Keanu's delivery of John Wick lines. That's the character.

I think the point is he doesn't communicate verbally. The point is the action and only the action, and I think it's amazing that they've weaved an entire story about the underground using context and headshots. Remember in the first movie, Viggo calls Wick, tries to reason with him and is met with silence. When asked what Wick said, he said "enough". I've kept that scene in mind watching the rest of the movies.

It seems like the hosts forgot the plot of the second movie. It's people in high position called upon the Marker to use John Wick and then enforced the rule to kill him afterward.

Won't tolerate this Keanu slander. The man was incredible in this.

Ever since The Matrix…I just picture Keanu as the guy he played in Bill and Ted…and THAT character became an actor and that is Keanu now. It makes the acting passable and the movies enjoyable 😂

I think it's intentional that Keanu's acting was that way. In the first one, he was calm but dramatic, considering that his character has lost his wife, and is supposed to retire, to be at peace, and a dog posthumously given by his wife that's supposed to keep him company that was undeservingly killed by an entitled prick. When he said that he's thinking he's back, it was at his most vulnerable. The deeper he falls back to his former life, the stiffer he becomes, the more uncomfortable he is in saying any killing-related sentence. But there's still a bit of vulnerability underneath him. Like his friend Caine. But that's just me. 😅

The problem with Keanu's acting is not that he can't act, HE CAN when directed properly. Neon Demon is a perfect example, when he played the Motel manager that s*xually assaults up and coming Talent staying in the motel. His acting was great there. So I have no idea why he always defaults to his "Bill and Ted" acting all the time.

This movie is a masterpiece. Literally the best modern day western and samurai movie mixed into one, which is the Wick style.

To be fair, nobody's really gone into these movies for the stellar dialogue and witty banter. They go to see it/them for the revenge kills, fights, stunts/driving choreography, and every other technical part of this movie

Keanu's delivery never bothered me because i always saw it as a choice. Hes an aloof killer. Half of his lines are one word "yeahs" that mean a million different things based on the context. Sometimes its sarcastic, sometimes its a big fuck you to whoever hes responding to. Im pretty sure Keanu is capable of not acting the way he goes in these movies. That's just who wick is supposed to be

I noticed when Nobody opened his bounty book there were a few people already above John Wick and someone had a bounty of 50 million. And 50 million is still the highest by the end of the movie, so I’m thinking who is that?

After watching "RRR", my desire for over the top, physics-defying action films has increased. Based on what you guys are saying about "John Wick: Chapter 4", it will give me what I'm looking for. I can't wait to see this film tomorrow!

It’s pretty funny how Keanu Reeves is one of the few celebrities that everybody likes, but the only thing negative they say about him, is his acting. 😂 But honestly for a movie like this, it probably won’t bother me because for what the man lacks in delivering his lines convincingly, he makes up for it in the commitment and the physicality. Hell I think even he recognize he ain’t the best actor and rather just stick to his lane that best suits him.

I wouldn't say Mr nobody was an equal to John, he was just very smart and opportunistic, soon as John had to put hands on him, he got reminded that he was a side character real fuckin quick lmfao.

from the 1st movie it shows that john is not a man of words , he actually struggles with social interactions, that's why he talks slow, it's almost as he's forcing the words outta his mouth , but when it comes to gun conversation, he's absolutely fluent

The thing about John Wick 4 is that as an action movie, it’s A+. As a film, it’s an F-. Here are a few examples -Blind assassin - At the beginning of the movie, it’s revealed he has gadgets and tricks to help him despite his eyesight. At the end of the movie, he’s effortlessly annihilating groups of people with a gun out in the open, and at distance. Scott Adkins’ character - Can’t even laugh without hitting an inhaler, yet beats the unholy hell out of John with little effort. Also, surprisingly limber for a guy who’s set up to be an asthmatic, obese oaf. Cars do no damage - John gets hit by about 27 cars. He’s fine. The dog gets hit by a car. Is fine. This leads into the fact that John can’t die. Honestly, how many windows and rooftops can this dude jump out of. It’s ridiculous. There has to be some kind of rule to this universe. “Everyone can die but John” is not a rule. It’s just become a showcase for the fight choreographer and stunt coordinator at this point, and I definitely didn’t need 3 hours of it.

The thing with Keanu Reeves, he always had that it factor & charm. And plus he's a hard worker when it comes to the physicality of a role. His gun play in these films are amazing. Yeah the delivery of his lines can be a little bit cheesy but he makes it work 😅

I'm not gonna question Keanu's acting the way you guys are. If I was with it for the last three movies, then it shouldn't be an issue with this. Besides, Wick's actions speak louder than words.

I give it a Better Than Sex! It's basically two movies wrapped into one and you really don't feel the long runtime. I can easily see a studio splitting this into two parts for a cash grab but thankfully they didn't

Having screen action charisma without being able to act for shit is what I refer to as the "Chuck Norris phenomenon." You can see it in the earlier Steven Segal films. Keanu Reeves excels at it.

The thing about the John wick character is that he is stripped down, to his very essence when he is speaking, no filler, just him I doubt that any of us would not feel the same way, after everything he has gone through, considering all of this started with the death of his wife, and the death of his car and the death of Daisy., For all practical purposes pushed this man into a new dimension of rage, and grief Once that last button is pushed, somebody is going to get hurt

Actually fun fact; in the scene in the Wire where Omar is pursuing Marlo at his apartment and gets ambushed by Marlo's crew, he jumped out of the 6 floor. The real Omar, who played Omar’s right hand man in that very ambush, said he actually jumped from the 8th floor. So I said that to say--its possible.

The dialogue delivery (to me) is absolutely intentional. He’s gotten more disconnected as a person since he’s gotten back in the game. Compare him now to the first movie when he has that monologue before they put the plastic bag over his head. At that point his social meter was higher than his killing meter. Now its the other way around.

It’s good seeing Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne together in the John Wick films, since Fishburne didn’t appear in Matrix Resurrections

I actually kinda wonder why they didn't just have Scott Adkins use his Boyka accent since he nails it flawlessly. Either way, Scott Adkins, Donnie Yen and Marko Zaror were already enough to sell me on this movie, even if I didn't already love the franchise.

I think the hokey delivery is part of his charm, though. There's something kind of self-referential about a guy talking like a parody of a neo-noir detective. It's awkward, but it weirdly fits.

Kinda missing the point...every actor has a signature style. He has that California zen surfer dude vibe that people love. It's part of Keanu's Schick. It's almost like old Schwarzenegger films in that It's the concepts we love. Predator, terminator, total recall, Conan. But with Arnold it was his muscles that was his Schick.

John Wick is the movie equivalent of a video game with a silent protagonist; you are enjoying yourself with all the action and then the one occasional time the character starts saying something, it takes you out of it

at this point, wick doesn't need to say much of anything. he says just enough that his words have a lot of weight behind them.

I guess when you're a badass assassin like him, a peaceful morning routine is just not in the cards. I love Keanu Reeves is a awesome actor for what he does. Love him in the Matrix franchise. I feel one of his most underrated movies is Constantine. He's a good action star. No offense but people love The Rock and he's kinda the same in every movie just saying. I love John Wick the movies are action gold.❤

Corey had some A grade comedy moments in this review. Had me cracking up about how nice Keanu Reeves must be. Lol. I haven't seen any John Wick movies, but they look like alot of fun. I might check them out one day.

Saw the movie today 4 movies in and Keanu Reeves has proven he still has the chops for the action department It’s amazing he made a career comeback after the ‘Matrix’ films so with this franchise there’s still plenty to be had Truth be told, this one is more of a somber viewing this time around And we start to see others are suffering because of him Keanu Reeves still pulls it off when it comes to the gun fights and the hand-to-hand combat, he makes the weariness of an assassin ever so clear on-screen The action scenes are numbing and you feel like you need a nap afterwards but they are entertaining The choreography and stunt work are perfect with some pretty cinematography Crazy there's so many new characters The last third almost is presented much like a video game It does stretch itself being 2 hours and 49 min But it definitely looks like this is the last one Going back to the first film this entire story has been about a man who can never escape who he is or his past A man whom has no purpose has no meaning and a good death is rewarded by a good life Reeves wraps up another action series that matches today’s generation full of exciting stuff

Reminds me of Mad Max, how it started in more modern times where he goes out for revenge because they kill his family. Then the sequels just takes the character into a more crazy, more cartoon like world.

Really looking forward to this. Seeing it tomorrow in imax.

This movie was a feast for the eyes. Absolutely breathtaking set designs, incredible choreography, and some of the best stunt work to ever grace a movie screen. Best of the franchise. Donnie Yen was a scene stealer

Keanu reeves in the first three John wicks had decent acting and could deliverer dialogue. Now watching this movie all that shit went out the window. Irregardless I had fun with this one and loved the way it turned out, except for his acting.

My hype was so high there's no way anything could have lived up to it but holy hot damn this movie is epic and i never use that word. loved it more than i thought i could and got emotional at parts like wtf : D

This is the most perfect john Wick Movie,and Keanu Reeves Magnum Opus in the Action film Genre. The actions scenes are the greatest in the entire franchise and eclipse nearly everything we've seen Keanu do in the Matrix Movies. Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada's Duel was the most emotional moment in the film for me and I cant wait to see what Chad Stalhelski does with the Ghost of Tsushima movie. My favorite character in this film was Mr. NOBODY due to how he compared to Caine and John wick on a thematic Level in this world of assassins. This was the most Beautiful film in the series with the music,the Score,and the way they blend this opulent sense of Grand Beauty and color into each film.

I don't think even a man of John Wick's calibur can counter the timing of Kory's sponcership plugs.

After listening to Keanu, I think he might be suffering from some sort of progressive medical condition that makes speaking difficult. If that's the case, the Double Toasted guys are going to feel bad for making fun of him.

This series kind of lost me after the first. Literally expecting a mother walking down the street with her toddler sucking a lollipop and as Wick passes by the toddler pulls out a .45 and starts blasting.

Judging they didn’t really love the other 3 I’m guessing they gonna be feeling the same for this but I still can’t wait to see it I love this franchise.

For me the movie was all technical and no heart. The movie looked great and the action sequences, cinematography, and fight choreography were well done. However all the violations of physics and human anatomy and cheesy lines threw me out of the moment on more than one occasion. Also all the obvious setups for the next action sequence caused me to cringe where John Wick would just walk out in the open, in the middle of streets, etc. Might as well have had a sign over him saying "come get me". All it would take is ONE SNIPER, yet somehow all the bad guys have to be less than 10 feet away and stop/stare for a moment before they start shooting.... 🙄

My next door neighbor looks a lot like Killa[Scott Adkins]. I went to go see this movie at my local Cinemark 22 at the last showing which was 9:20pm-12:15am, with my wife[to celebrate her bday that was on April Fools Day] and our 3 children,….. when I saw Killa, I immediately turned to my oldest daughter[14yrs old] & I told her,” Doesn’t Killa look like our Mexican grandpa next door neighbor with the gold teeth?!!?” She laughed so LOUD that I LOL’d, she then passed the joke down to my baby girl[11yrs old, whose personality, humor etc. is so similar to mine] & my daughter said out loud, “OMG DADDY HE DOES, THE GOLD TEETH & EVERYTHiNG”. The 3 of US laughed so loud, I’m truly grateful that the people sitting next to me were teenagers who weren’t angry about our laughter,they were cracking up laughing just as much as we were, one of their friends was SLEEP & SNORiNG 😂 [thinking to myself: bro your falling asleep on a John Wick movie🧐] I guess when you need to nap you need to nap [thinking back] I did the same thing to my wife, kids & niece when we went to go see Finding Dory at the Cinemark in Las Vegas the day it came out, so touché to the brotha that was napping during JW4. A little name biased here, I enjoyed hearing my name[Winston💪🏿] in a movie.😂 I’ve seen every John Wick film when they all debuted, so I’m heavily connected to this franchise & this 4th one ended the John Wick Saga PERFECTLY.

Loved this movie! Yeah, some of it was out there, lol. But still... We saw it in 4DX and the Champs Elysees scene, in 4DX, was, to quote a line from The Warriors, "magic. A whole lotta magic." I'm surprised you guys didn't mention The Warriors connection...which made SO much sense!!! The 3rd act with the French DJ...showing only the mouth! In The Warriors, every gang in the city was after them. In John Wick, every assassin was after him. Whomever's idea that was...*chef's kiss*

Y'all keep shitting on Keanu for his delivery and acting like he slept his way through this movie. Put some damn respect on my man's name he's pushing 60 and did the vast majority of his own stunts for this, memorized the choreo, the man put in the work and he put in the hours he's an action star through and through.

To be fair Keanu Reeves does good when it comes to physicality but when it comes to dialogue he is really bad.

I like this movie for the same reasons I liked Jackie Chan movies back in the day. It’s got a loose plot and shoddy acting by KR of course, but overall I was pretty pleased by what I saw action wise so I give it a passing grade. I was disappointed in the plot just because it set itself up for so much more in the other movies but I only kinda wanted to see that. I really came for the action, and in that regard, got what I paid for. Low full price.

Keanu's cadence is what makes him unique. Bad at acting, i dunno but a one and a million star.
