Fun Fact: When John goes to the Club to kill the kid and starts with the bodyguard outside, He says, "You've lost weight" and Francis Replied "Over 60 pounds". This was actually a test AND a code between the two. John was testing him to see if he would help him (which is why he lets him go and tells him to take the night off) and Francis replies Over 60 pounds (or 27 kilograms), a code for nearly 27 security guys/henchman protecting the boy. This is also being used in the military forces around to world too. VERY cool way to again show us how much of a badass and how respected John Wick is. Also thee one thing I like about Keanu Reaves is the amount of effort he puts into a role. You can find videos of his training sessions for these movies where he spends countless time at a gun range training with all sorts of guns to the point where he knows how each gun he handles will behave IRL and will actually handle them accordingly for things like checking to ensure the weapons are not jammed. You will see him handle a pistol in the second John Wick movie where he will kinda toss the gun in his hand a little to press down on the chamber because the pistol he is using at that time is known for having bullets getting jammed and is checking the chamber to make sure it is clear enough to fire. Keanu also went through 4 months of training, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day to bring his character to life. He also went through Judo, Japanese Ju-Jutsu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. So Keanu is that accurate and deadly in real life. You can find a few videos of his trainings with a company known as Taran Tactical. Keanu also had help from former Navy SEAL and CIA Contractor Shawn Ryan.
Fun fact: The actor who played the guy that killed the dog felt so bad for doing it, that he spent a lot of time with the dog on the behind the scenes.
He let Francis go because Francis gave him info he needed. "You lose weight?" was code for "How many guards?" His reply: "27Kg" meant 27 guards inside. Plus there is back story that he and Francis were friends, and that Francis used to be his driver.
Answering your question about doing business on Continental Property, according to Winston, doing business will occur harsh penalties as both of you see Perkins getting executed after she violated main rule.
4:25 "Only weird people get pets to sleep on the floor." I'm one of the weird ones. My dog is a 120 pound akita, an extremely dominant breed. All the books about akitas say that if I make sure, every day, that he knows I'm in charge, he will be loyal and obedient, but if I let him think he's in charge, he'll quickly become impossible, chewing up furniture, taking food off tables and counters, and even peeing in the house to mark his territory. To avoid all that, there are rules the experts recommend: 1. I always go through doors before he does when we're walking together. 2. I always eat first and feed him only when I'm done. 3. I keep some of his toys up out of his reach and I decide when we will play with those. 4. I get the high ground and he gets the low ground - he is not allowed on any furniture at all. Sounds hard but it only took me a few weeks to get used to it and he is by far the best dog I've ever owned, or any of my friends have ever owned. Smart, loyal, protective, never barks, very affectionate, instantly obeys everything I tell him to do.
Same here. My 100 lb pittie is not allowed on our furniture either. There may have been a handful if times we allowed him on our bed if it was time to wash the linen anyway. But he's not allowed on our furniture otherwise. We'll sit on the floor with him. I was also raised in a house of 3 big dogs (2 Dobermans and a German Shepherd)who were not allowed on the furniture either. 😂
8:11 Interesting Trivia Fact: if you notice, when Vigo pours the vodka for his son, he pours a cheap vodka, because he knows his son will likely throw it back up when he hits him. Vigo then goes back to the bar and grabs a different vodka bottle to pour himself a drink.
Every time there's a couple who reviews movies it's usually the guy who seen the movie and wants to be a know-it-all and won't shut up. That's not a reaction you've seen it before
I feel like Iosef's babysitter should have known who John was, but maybe he's not as experienced as he seems. At the end of the day, this is a love story. But it's also about the balance between order and chaos. Iosef does not understand the need for order. His father does, but can't deny his greed and pride. Also, it's interesting that Perkins is pretty much the only person he knows that he's not polite with.
4:45 "I love this movie. I don't even know what it's about. I love it because there's a cute puppy in it." Awwww. Hearing you say that made me sad for future you.
An ancient order called Assa-sins used to accept only gold as payment (weight in gold) for their services such as espionage, murder, or counterintelligence. It adds to the believability of the movie since there is precedence in real history. Some even argue that this is the origin of the Beggars Guild in China's past as well as the Ninja of Japan. If I may add a personal note, people who do work in military, intelligence and kill or capture squads must keep their feelings firewalled so they don't get in the way of what must be done.
John Wick spared Francis the doorman bodyguard, because he gave him a ‘heads up’. The ‘weight’ he lost was the codeword for how many gunmen were guarding Iosef. Keanu trained with the stunt crew for weeks to do all the fight scenes himself, earning the respect and admiration of the stunt crew. Keanu became very proficient with all sorts of firearms , shooting live ammo in a shooting range/obstacle course, reloading and shooting accurately with live ammo! John Wick broke new ground with the way action films were made. No fancy-schmansy editing. You can see the actual fights throughout, done by the actor himself. Beautifully filmed, great music soundtrack, and almost Shakespearean dialog. Not your average action film. This will be the standard. All action films from now on will be compared to the John Wick films
Sam & Tristan That horrible scene when Daisy being killed by Iosef's Goons had one actor playing one of the Goons crying. Then director yelled cut. Actor went over to the puppy and hugged him. Yes, Daisy was played by Beagle puppy named Andy. I think either actor or one of the trainers adopted Andy after scene was completed. Last I read that Andy still living today with his owners. He is about 12+ years old now.
Great reaction! One of my favorite things about this franchise that most ppl kind of miss (but that you caught) is that John has to reload his gun. You can actually count the bullets before he's empty. Almost all movies like this give the protagonist unlimited bullets which is forgivable in cinema I guess, but pretty lazy IMHO
I don't know if you knew this already but the one-handed clip ejection that John Wick does throughout the movie where he flicks his wrist to eject the clip was actually created by Keanu Reeves. There was an episode of Joe Rogan that featured the director of the film and they were talking about it. It actually is the fastest way to change a clip and competition shooters started using this technique after seeing it in the movie.
20:00 This movie could have ended right here, with the death of Iosef Tarasov. John was done. Going home. Vigo pushed it and took revenge on Marcus. That brought John back for round 2. If Vigo would have also just dropped it, then the movie ends without any more killing. But after losing about 50 men and everything he owns, he somehow thought he could take on John Wick with his last 8 or 10 men? Not a good plan.
Guys, i suggest you do reaction from disney movie "UP" . I hope u doing it guys, it will made you to more lovely each other about life and take care until forever.
I would totally agree, but it's slightly disappointing my dude Tristan acted totally unimpressed from the get. Not being pumped to watch John Wick loses anyone a ton of points automatically NGL
If you going to watch a movie at least pay attention. As was pointed out in earlier comments he really didn't steal the dog, he saved it's life...the paper clipped to the cage says he was to be put down and his dog dragged herself over to John before dying.
I people who are not dog owners, or cat owners go to houses in apartments with pets, and they sleep in Leon furniture stinks to high heaven. They are no longer my friend.
The hell kind of dry ass reactions are these ?? Their reactions to the famous "oh" scene. "He is as gunna be pissed till he got that reaction haha 😐"-girl "😐" -boy
I will not be friends with people who let there animals lay on the furniture. Sitting on furniture like that is awful. Smells so bad I can’t breathe. Than when I get up I have hair and dandruff all over me. 👎🏻
It is so funny with every female reaction. They get geared up for an action film where people are going to die left and right. As SOON as the dog dies they are pissed and then John Wick could burn down an orphanage but they want everyone involved in the dog's death liquidated. A lot of people miss this. The dog John takes at the end was scheduled to be put down.
