All beautiful properties. It was stinky that John and Yoko couldn't have found it in their hearts to let Cynthia and Julian stay in that home.

What a nasty thing to do! Selling his first house out from underneath his wife and child, to run off with “the other woman”. Tough enough the son loses his father, but then to kick his own family out of the only house they knew, and take away the place of all their memories. Childhood home gone! So much for all that talk of “peace and love”…

It is really bad that John didn't let Cynthia and Julian keep that house, for gosh sake Lennon was Ridiculously wealthy .Yoko also wouldn't let the house he bought for his Aunt Mimi to keep the house he bought for her but made the mistake of not ferrying it to her name so Yoko sold it out from under them What a couple of schmuck!

Rich or poor we're only here for a little while. I can't imagine having that much wealth. I couldn't afford the heating bills at one of his homes lol. Thanks for sharing.

I think it's stupid that you pretty much entirely neglect to mention May Pang living in the penthouse with him. And just dismiss her as some "companion". She was a very serious girlfriend of his, who he remained in contact with up until his death.

John Lennon may have been the greatest singing rhythm player in Rock and roll, ever., As a human being, he was less than perfect. Then, humans are not.

John and Yoko were far from being politically correct. They collected designer cattle, an expensive, bizarre avocation. Both liked to collect furs, especially Yoko. One of the Dakota apartments they bought had massive refrigerated storage to store their furs and had to be enlarged soon after the first one had been completed. Peta would have had a field day with these two!

John seems to be the last person to actually imagine no possessions.

It would have been decent of yoko to have given a home to Cynthia and Julian

The Lennons also owned property on Prince Street in the Soho district of Manhattan. Yoko let her taro card reader, John Green, live in it while he was still in her favor.

When I see these large beautiful buildings first I think how beautiful they are and second I think who is going to clean and maintain them? I guess if you can afford one you can afford a staff to take care of it 😂

Lennon's estate, Weybridge, was purchased for $20k British Pounds, which was around $55,000.

I wonder who helped them find and choose these properties. I wonder if it was John or yoko that had an eye for the incredible value and beauty of these unique and gorgeous places. I wish Julian and his mother had been gifted that house they had been living in. It’s so degenerate of John Lennon to push aside Julian and his mother. I like the Roman influenced building with the horse head. The Dakota is such a jewel. It’s wood carvings are so ornate. The Palm Beach estate is an incredible property.

I was the pool cleaner at John’s home in Palm Beach from September of 1980 until his death in December. Never got to meet him because he was due to come in for a few months in February 1981 but was assassinated on Dec 8, 1980. I did see Ringo and Yoko there in January of 1981 I assume preparing for sale of the Home..

AT 12:44 into this video - - the reason John and Yoko did not want to live there is that even tho there was a wrap around porch -it meant that there was NO PRIVACY from all the other buildings that were next to each side of that apartment -

In my experience people by big properties to isolate themselves from the rest of us. These multiple roomed, huge properties are often souless and unwelcoming. It's my belief that when the Japanese woman came into Mr Lennon's life she had a negative effect upon him and all around him. Nobody would know her name and John might still be alive today had their paths not crossed. Such a trail of destruction was left by that talentless woman. They say behind every successful man is a good woman, that lady was Cynthia Lennon. John never had a funeral as such,after he was murdered by the madman ,Yoko ono had him cremated 2 days later. despite knowing he wanted to be buried ,she denied johns ex wife Cynthia a place at his ceremony. That's a very cold-hearted thing to do.

Really enjoy all The Beatles content, especially the photo analysis and inside of their homes. Lots of John and George, even Ringo gets a couple but will you ever cover any of Paul’s homes? Cavendish, Peasmarsh, High Farm in the Mull of Kintyre.

Yoko was, is, a brilliant businesswoman. She realized that real estate and land were the way to go with investments. I passed up a couple of lots in Houston in the late 70s that were only $1000 each. So, my BF bought them. He told me in 2006 that he sold them, still vacant lots, for $40.000 each. Holy cow, what a stupid decision I made not to buy them. The only money he had to put into them was paying taxes every year.

I read May Peng's description of the “penthouse “ as a modern apartment ($700), so the luxurious apartment you have shown must be entirely enlarged and renovated. Anyhow, it can be verified.

The East Side Penthouse and the Long Island property are beautiful in their own different ways. One the epitome of city living, with fantastic views the other rural and coastal. The Dakota on the other hand gives me the creeps. Too Gothic, too sinister. I don't know how Yoko could continue to live there after John's assassination.

Recently (last 10 years?) Sean and Julian have gotten together where a small bit of all this wealth was being given to Julian per Sean (v. Yoko). I haven't heard how it turned out. Perhaps GOOGLE knows??😮

The Greenwich Village Apt is the place where his neighbors sued Sean about that tree. They are the parents of the actor Marisa Tomei.

You first said that Tittenhurst was on Sunninghill then in Ascot but the real place of Tittenhurst is Sunningdale as it was shown written in your video. Sunningdale is the smallest town of that area, then comes Sunninghill where Sarah Ferguson (Prince Andrew's ex wife) Princess Caroline of Monaco and Bianca Jagger lived. Then comes Ascot with its world famous race course Royal Ascot and where Queen Noor of Jordan lives. After Ascot is Bracknell where the market and shopping centre is an it is where the transistor was invented. Nowadays Tittenhurst is owned by an Arab Sheikh who torn down Tittenhurst's wooden fence and put a brick wall instead which neighbours say it cost more than the mansion. Tittenhurst was painted yellow and it is adorned with Islamist art, the white piano of the Imagine video was totally broken and destroyed as well as the recording studio,

My best friend and I are both 65. A few days ago we were talking about various celebrities and got to talking about Lennon. The older we get, the more we realize what an utter hypocrite he was. Singing about having no possessions while wallowing in luxury. P.S. The houses he owned were beautiful.

Where did all that money come from? Yes, I know about the Beatles. But I was under the impression that they had signed away the publishing rights to their music and received a paltry percentage of the records sales(?) It’s quite something that the author of “Baby, You’re a Rich Man” had a taste for aristocratic Tudor style mansions on expansive groomed estates and insane upper east side penthouse suites with killer panoramic views of the East River - cool enough to attract a fly by of a UFO! (I wonder if they took a snapshot of John looking up to show their friends and family back in Andromeda?) What could the rent have been for that penthouse at the South Gate?

Selfish and manipulative woman….jealousy and complete dominance was behind all of the turmoil in the relationship between John and his son Julian. She is and was a very hard ass cruel selfish woman. An opportunist. She had a lover and a serious drug addiction even when pregnant. One of John’s personal secretary’s /assistant wrote a book so did his John’s mistress sent to him by his wife in California during their separation wrote a book. All the wealth still did nothing to improve or warrant world wide respect for her. Her singing was a joke. She was tolerated. John was the bread winning genius. She had no talent or money when he met her. She was dominant in the relationship. I lost some respect for him at the end of his life he was weak. He seemed happy to let her have complete control. His life seemed strange and out of kilter after meeting her ..he remained talented thank goodness but he lost part of himself to her dominance some on wanting peace was good but the drugs and his entire demeanor was strange. At that time he was not a good father to his son. He was not generous to Julian after his murder. That weakness is unforgivable only the second son was to be the worthy one? None of the Beatles first marriage except for Paul was happy..until her death…the others all divorced had affairs which were shocking. All the property, money is shallow which is a reminder that you can’t take it with you when you die. You can’t own and live in that many places and enjoy them. I think John didn’t care about or want to be being a billionaire. I believe the wife was the greedy one. It’s just gluttony and way too much money. The property taxes alone in the UK are outrageous. This is a puff piece on how extraordinarily wealthy and never enough by his wife. She could feed all the homeless for a year..build affordable houses for the working poor.. Dolly Parton donated enough money to the lab to invent the Covid vaccine Moderna when the economy in 2020 all over the world and the USA was crashing because nothing to prevent it existed. She donates to so many worthwhile causes. The ex wife of Billionaire Jeff Bezos has almost given everything she received in her divorce settlement to charities. Warren Buffett has given away millions..he said you can’t spend it all in a life time. John was a sensitive artist a genius at his writing however still vulnerable and naive at business. He had a sad childhood which damaged him emotionally. I think he did wise up to the mess he married in some respect in the end. He took care of their son as a baby and small child. She was busy downstairs managing her world..her new lover and the money empire. Note: she tried to block the assistants’ book however it was published.
