First of all, not everyone stayed on his side of the fence, most sided with her and never believed him, never gave him a chance to explain his side of things, so that's kind of an insult. Some people saw through her from the off, but the majority did not. Second of all, Johnny's lawyers didn't say that's what was on the table at all. The presenter asked, yes, but the lawyers said they couldn't say one way or the other. Also, the presenter clearly backs AH, not Johnny, and seemed extremely biased against him. Considering what she's doing right now with the interviews and trying to encourage jurors to come forward to agree that it wasn't fair, the manipulation never stops, I doubt his lawyers would advise him to let the payment go, not because it's about the money, but because if he does then it might a) come across like he's 'buying her silence' with a deal so there's no appeal and she will not doubt claim as much, b) because if the payment is done, then she can appeal, and no one wants that whether she stands a chance or not, and c) she abused him for five years, then psychologically continued that for a further six years, and if she doesn't live the consequences of that then she'll never stop doing this and she'll never let it go, which she clearly isn't going to anyway, so why add fuel to the fire by letting her believe she can get away with it. He might not care about the money, but the lawyers are good, and they'll advise him against dropping it.

Part of me thinks that letting her off the hook gives the wrong idea and is for the wider world a bad idea. People need to see that their are consequences for their actions.
