My brother was married to a woman like Amber. He is still in therapy for PTSD years later. They have been divorced 18 years and she still calls him to torment him. He has changed his number moved all kinds of things. She always finds him. They never let go.

As a person who suffered DV violence directly, I refuse to accept her claims. Idk what is it about other DV victims that I feel instantly connected to them. I can see the way they talk, the way they express themselves… and I get flashbacks of what I lived. When I hear him talk, it takes me back. Stuttering for words because my ex was “so nice and well liked” everyone was on his favor and he essentially destroyed my reputation. I left him, and he told people I left him to cheat on him. He then went and destroyed my car and stole my computer right before finals. And still people or the police wouldn’t believe me. It got to the point that I started to believe I deserved it. If nobody else saw it, it everyone kept pointing at me being the bad person, then I must’ve been the bad person. Because when I left him he began drinking so uncontrollably and almost died, I was the bad person for living him. So I went back to him to save his life at the cost of almost losing mine. It took a lot of counseling and medication to somewhat recover from what I lived with him. I still wake up shaking and crying in the middle of the night after horrible nightmare that I am back with him.

It hurts to listen to Johnny's testimony. What an ugly soul that Amber had to try to destroy him like she tried. I hope that he will get his reputation and career back.

Being involved in DV is like being in a bizarre, crazy nightmare. Unless you have experienced it, you cannot understand. These abusers are actually criminals. They do not let up. When the victim gets away, their rage escalates. They want to destroy the victim. Whether physically murder them or psychologically or emotionally, the abuser will continue the abuse. Johnny Depp suffered but stayed true to his character. He is a decent person.

His willingness to expose his vices and pain to the world, things that are embarrassing, to do that shows how profoundly important it is to him to have the truth come out about what she did to him. I had narc mother. She even told my psychiatrist (that she sent me to "cure" me) that I hit her, which never happened. Just to get reactions out of you.

Yet, I hate how AH's lawyers interrupt Johnny Depp from finishing any thought, yet AH is allowed to go on & on with her theatrics that never happened, or more likely we're what that cow perpetrated on Johnny Depp. No one stopped her, yet Johnny cannot be allowed to share significant information to the jury. You can clearly see he’s really scared of her. Not just her behavior but anything to do with her. Remember women can be just as controlling and abusive as men. It’s on a different level. An example of this is the texts and them being used in court. They have no part of this case so why did Amber have them? Until you have experienced someone like Amber Heard it’s really hard to explain sometimes the manipulation cohesion mean cruel abuse and lying and the way they justify it and try to make it your fault. Every moment around them is HELL. They want you to pay for their unhappiness. And they will make you pay even if it is to hurt someone you love to try and control you.

Unfortunately I had a girlfriend exactly like Amber heard, could make me feel guilty for Everything was happen on the relationship, false accusations, when I was about to end the relationship starts to crying like a maniac, saying that she could commit suicide because she was not OK mentally, police envolved because they tought I was beating her, lots of stuff like Depp is getting accused off. And fortunately, she found another person, and I finally could move on, and guess what? The guy that was with her called me saying that she's a crazy girl, telling me everything she did to me, did to him as well, and mentally I could move on knowing I was not the problem.

For as traumatized as this man's life has been, I am amazed at his ability to be so numbed out to the horrors of what he is describing here. I dont think I could ever be this removed from such deep pain. He, obviously, is so accustomed to it. Sad days. I am crying 'for' him and 'with' his wounded inner child (and hers, too). Two deeply wounded people who never did 'the work'.

I hid under prescription drugs for 6 years because of an unhappy marriage. So I can relate with him on that subject. I just wanted to stay in that black out condition because I didn't know how to deal with my life. I am 5 years sober now. Life's not perfect but I've worked hard to learn how to cope with out hiding in a drug induced fog. Hope JD can get through all this. Prayers for him to come out on top 🙏❤️

I dated an 'amber turd' for 4 years. Everything he describes is how it is to be with a disordered/manipulative partner like this. I am grateful that he is helping to increase public awareness of this sick dynamic and what these types of people are capable of doing to you. No one asked, "Why didn't you just leave her, Johnny?" but anyone who's been through this form of abuse knows the answer and how much these people mess up your sense of reality and truth. It is hell. Johnny is an extremely patient man. To be questioned in court is so annoying (in general), knowing that questions are eventually leading to some conclusion. I wish that trials were set up differently and not so humiliating and out of context.

It’s so difficult and so unbelievably sad. This is a world famous and very public version of what many people experience in non famous lives. My mother worked in a domestic violence unit, although she never talked about specific aspects of cases, it never failed to upset me by the fact that other humans could do that to other humans.

My ex husband abused me emotionally, verbally and psychologically but he never layed a finger on me. I recall hearing from a woman on a TV show about DV who was married to a man who did all these things but also physically abused her as well. She explained how she was always on high alert, walking on eggshells, trying not to do or say anything to "set him off".And I'll never forget how she explained that sometimes it was actually a relief when he finally did lash out at her and start beating her, because it was better than living every moment with constant anxiety, wondering if or when the beating would begin. To her, that was worse than the actual beating itself.

I am so proud of him for doing this. It is so hard for men to come forward and admit being abused for so many reasons especially someone with this high profile job. No one understand that they are not stupid. It is a viscous, precise cycle of the abuser. They start out slow, saying things to break you down , your confidence ,self worth even your sanity and all the while they are doing this "always under the guise they love you", they have already started the isolation of everyone in your life who is your support system. Then you are left with only them and there cruel words "Monster". Because ultimately we do not think like them so it is so hard to see it coming. We want to think the best of every one , so when they say they love you we believe them . when they start their cruel, manipulations and isolation we did not see it coming because we would never hurt someone we love they way they do...so we can not even fathom why the would lie, even if our minds starts to question. Then they keep pushing until they break you down . I am so sorry Johnny that you had to go threw this but be careful it is so easy to fall back into this pattern again. From one kind pure soul to another I wish you well and please do not let her make you jaded for she is not going to be thinking about your or your pain she will be moving on to others because people like that only care about themselves , much as that hurts us. Because we did care and we did everything right, we were truthful and open and they used our innocence to inflict so much pain and damage. So be happy that is the best revenge and you deserve some happy now.

Remember: he fell in love with a bisexual married woman during a kiss in a shower scene in Rum Diaries. I wish that would have been me. I would have taken care of Johnny for better or for worse for the rest of my life. His mistake was that he confused a passionate shower scene in a movie with the real thing: love. If you haven't been on the receiving end of this sort of behaviour then please trust the experience of those who have! Eventually I saw my abuser taken (by force) to a mental hospital where they got 2 years of therapy before being released. That's what misheard needs!!

He really loved her, or rather, he loved the idea of her. She knows that,she is actually angry because she is not lovable, in order for her to be loved she has to pretend. Johnny doesn't need to pretend. Also, when he realized who she really is, when he realized that she is not real, that's what made her angrier. Her rage and hate is in fact internalized hate. I was in a relationship like this and they damage you so much mentally that you start to think you are the bad guy. And if you are weak at mind you start to follow they're game and end up acting insecure and crazy. That's what happened to me. I was a different person, someone I was not before. I did things said things that a normal me before that relationship would not do . You can clearly see that he is ver affected by this and he is almost intimidated by this lying crazy woman. I understand Johnny's pain. For us that have suffered this multiple abuse. It is very disturbing to hear. How can she treat the man she professed her love for this way. We abused know that's not love. She dispised him, she was jealous of his success, she was bitter of his wealth. She is the black widow type. Johnny is talking about reactive abuse. Its what happens to a normal person when they get repeatedly abused. It is natural to reach a breaking point... and this is what they narc abuser does... They abuse you and abuse you and when you turn around and respond--all of a sudden you are the abuser. So many parallels with my own experience.

Honestly this trial may seem like a netflix series to people but i personally took several lessons from this, I'm not living in place where you can easily get drugs, and not many women who drink (I'm a woman), i know this is such a cliche to say but drugs and alcohol can truly bring in a miserable life, other than that i also learnt how dangerous a manipulator person can be, how they can look so charming & loving on the outside, and that they are that crazy to actually twist the "almost abvious" truth and believe they are trusted, to be able to notice her traits, and adding to the fact that there are actually people like these with victims no one probably cares about
