I have concerns about any inference that the bruising/redness in these photos has been added in the Mac app ‘Photos’ because it does not and never has had the ability to apply or modify colour in select areas like the way one can do with the paint brush in Photoshop or GIMP.

It’s not necessarily compressed tho… if you take a pic with your phone and transfer it to Photos on you Mac the file stays the same…

If the photos were extracted from Amber's phone, the expert could and should authenticate the original photos, but he can't. Even if you copy paste it so many times, compressess it to a zip/rar file, the MD5 hash would still be the same, in Amber's case it isn't the same. Also the size differences between the three photos he showed is weird, if only the exif was modified in each file the size difference wouldn't be that big. You can argue the photo wasn't edited but it wasn't the original photo taken from Amber's phone either.

@@admiralmuhamad3109 the size difference could be due to multiple transfers (mails, messages app, etc) + she very probably got rid of her old phones over the years and saved her photos elsewhere (like we all do) the photos do look the same, also saying that because it’s written « Photos 3.0 » it’s edited doesn’t make sense, Photos isnt only use to edit photos, in fact it’s mainly use to store and browse your photos only, referring to the software as a « Photo editor » seems a bit oriented here, i’m not on Amber side but i found that specific testimony a bit far-fetch, why not simply comparing the actual pictures and see the differences visually if there are some ? (And btw iphones take pngs not jpgs so he should have started there)…

to be fair, I highly doubt she intentionally edited them. She could easily fake the injuries with her bruise kit. Most likely it says photos 3.0 from when it was imported to her mac computer, that app is used for organizing your gallery, and from there, it could've been emailed to her lawyers. There would likely be time differences if they were so foolish as to edit new versions of the photos. Amber's team would not bring up faked photos, they know the ramifications. Additionally, lighting difference is likely an automatic lighting filter when the picture was snapped. Analyzing Amber's body language, while she appears nervous and defensive concerning her other lies, she was very firm and confident bout not editing her photos. I believe she is telling the truth on this particular matter, but regardless, the 'evidence' should automatically be tossed out, as there were filters in different versions the court saw for some photos. But point is, she doesn't need to alter lighting when she's got a bruise kit and it would be easier to alter her own lighting and complexion before taking the photo.

@@maaz322 my guy she took three of the exact same photos with the same exact position of everything. Go to your camera and try to take 3 different photos where you look exactly the same, trust me it won’t be the same. Your lip positioning, hair, angle etc will be slightly different every time.

His entire testimony rested on the fact that the photos couldn't be proven or denied as truthful. Saying "it was direct manipulation" let's the AH's team tear down his testimony ("WHO manipulated these photos? HOW do you know she manipulated them herself? So you don't actually know the motive behind photo manipulation, you can only speculate" Saying "these photos can't be verified" is a bombshell in of itself.

Johnny's lawyer Mr. Walton took a whole file down to the LA police department, it was then turned over to the Sheriff Dept. But these things also take time. Especially when they want to make sure they get their guy... Or in this case "girl". And Australia is definitely looking to get her. She could get up to 14 years in Australia just for the purgery alone. PLUS in light of new evidence from the UK trial and anything from this trial about the dogs, they may have other chargers for her. But I will say I don't know much on Australian Law, can only speculate on what I have seen so far. I'm sure Australia will take their time, cross all their T's and dot all their I's, they take this very serious and she publicly mocked them after they forced her to publicly apologize to the Australian government and above all people. Then turn around and names her new dog publicly after the Australian PM (I believe that's his title, I very well could have his title incorrect though). She offended a whole country and it's people because she just HAS to be better than everyone else. And she can't even spell phone! F-O-N-E she said from the video mocking Johnny. There's also talk of an appeal going through on the UK case, especially now that it's so well known it was biased from the beginning with a judge that should have recused himself from the case. The damage in the ECB hallway (21 May, 2016) is not backed up by the police body-cam footage, but Whitney's testimony of the staircase incident still hurts JD's case. That's the problem with people who lie in groups - if they co-ordinate and stick together, they outnumber any other witnesses present.

He cannot know intent, no one can in court, (lawyers can Argue it but not witnesses), so within thr full confinement of the law he painstakingly went through all the tests he ran and subtly but very clearly indicated all the parts that indicated these photos had been heavily altered and ran through multiple channels to further alter them. Its very important that the team did not use originals, this is not standard for photographs or videos in any case of any type, in any country. I've been involved in low level employment cases in ireland, where its just simpler disputes and we have to use and submit originals of everything. The tampering, considering its a court setting, is extremely serious. He did far more than say it ran through an editor, although that alone would be sufficient to show they did not follow dye process with the provision of evidence. And remember these photos were all over the media to display him as an abuser and those were her claims, the fact she did this and was friends with photographers who have testified, is very bad for her side in terms of credibility. And that's taking his testimony only as a snippet in terms of it being run through an editor.

As someone with limited knowledge on the subject (layman but better than my family) is it really that damning? She used a photo editor, but potentially she could have cropped the image or made it more visible. Don’t get me wrong, I think she’s guilty-but shouldn’t there be more information about how the photo was edited? Would he be able to restore the photo to the original imported from her phone? I doubt she made any massive changes using the editor when she can convincingly imitate a bruise with makeup. Sure she could mess with the color, but that wouldn’t make a bruise appear on her arm without photoshopping it right?

@@Amaranthyne It's damning because the use of an external program creates the very real potential the photos have been manipulated in some way and as such means they cannot be classed as authentic originals, and without authentic originals you cannot verify the authenticity of these photos. This is compounded by evidence that manipulation has taken place with at least one example of two visually different versions of the exact same photo proving at least one of them has been edited, and if one has been edited the authenticity of the rest is naturally called into question. This evidence is also in direct contradiction of her claims that those two versions of the same photo were taken at different times with different lighting, this shows she was being deceitful about them in her testimony and calls into the question the veracity of the rest of her claims. It's also impossible to restore these to their original state as the image format only saves the current state, and without the authentic originals it's impossible to determine exactly the extent of any (if any) changes may have been made. To get the authentic originals they need access to the phone on which they're stored on, but if her team had them they would have entered them into evidence in the first place rather than these potentially edited copies. So basically it's damning because they cannot verify the authenticity that the photos haven't been edited with evidence of at least one having been, so their role in proving her claims is much more limited. And she was caught being deceitful in her claims about said edited photo which hurts the believability of the rest of her testimony.

You're wrong. They were different! One was her posing in a vanity mirror that has all those little lights around it! It doesn't matter if the backround light is exactly the same. Or that every single little hair is in the exact same place! Everyone is wrong! 😜

I was saying that exact thing when I first saw it, even if you snap two pictures in a row with a different light turned on, they will not look exactly identical. These ones did. Even if the rest of the pictures were only stored and not edited, we know 100% that one photo was edited, and Amber outright lied about it.

Exactly Especially when she claimed they were at different times, but the reflection light was in exactly the same spot on her forehead. Also her facial expression is exactly the same!
