I met Johnny before he was an actor. It was '83 or early '84. We went to a small club, it may have been Anaheim, because we were in the process of moving there. His band, The Kids were playing and when they took their breaks Johnny sat with my now ex and I. We talked about moving, our families, siblings and other things. The thing is, none of us had any money back then, and certainly no fame. He was as kind, soft-spoken and curious about us before the fame. That's how I know he is a genuine wonderful person. He never changed.

This is like the 20+ person that had similar compliments about Johnny’s generosity, patience and kindness to everyone on set. It really shows that regardless of mainstream media bias and Hollywood trying to shun him, the people that worked with him will always remember the true him, the kind guy with a great character. His personality will always shine
My relative in San Francisco interacted w/JD in a club he was visiting. My relative who worked at the club was assigned to accommodate his wishes & to make him feel welcome & comfortable. The description of JD was extremely positive. He was humble, friendly, respectful, approachable & very generous. Not at all demanding like some other celebrities who visited there. He was just seeking to chill & recuperate & was grateful to be allowed to do that. He is an appreciative, very kind dude.

We love JD, We met him in LA … My daughter has done small commercials, modeling etc.. We were in a studio getting hair/makeup done, she was only 4 years old lol but he walks in and takes a seat like it’s nothing.. she knew who he was but to young to separate him from being Captain Jack lol He talked to us, like a normal everyday guy….he picked and aggravated my daughter, and would go in and out of character for Captain Jack, he got his makeup done for a photo shoot, as he was working in the studio next to my daughter.. we tried to being polite and respectful, as he had several ppl, coming and going talking to him, and he told them, can’t you see I’m visiting with my best girl, and pointed to my kiddo, she was just all giggles.. lol he was just joking and cutting up with us the entire time, he was just. Awesome!,, that was 15 years ago now…
I have never met him, but once I saw his mannerisms and lovely aura, I knew how humble and kind he is. He just radiates authentic care. I am not at all surprised to hear of how incredible he was to work with….Thank you for sharing this… no doubt, he is ONE OF A KIND!! Lovely story ❤
You were a very rare experience for him as well. I believe he understands that, it is part of the light he has, part of the human experience he understands. I would never claim to know his faiths, however he has a deep humility and respect for others. When I see people who are like him, I see a lightness of spirit and in such times I see God.

Johnny Depp is a legendary actor, master at his craft. Even his work suffered during his time with Heard. I hope he will get more great stories to portray, these fraud people wasted his time trying to ruin his name and reputation. Some people just look out for their own not realizing the better everybody does their part the better the end product is going to be. She said she hung out with her law friend with Johnny back in the day “21 Jump street.” And said Johnny was a super down to earth genuine, sweet person. He sounds like a very caring genuine person. Darin, thank you for this. Up until May 18th, when I received word that my mother had passed away and I had to return to California, I sat in court in the Virginia defamation trial every day, like many others did in support of Johnny. Long lines, freezing cold mornings, that often started the night before, we were vigilant and committed in our solidarity. Our reasons do so were vast, for me it was empathy, born of personal experience. What I felt from him is as you describe, humble, honest, confident, kind, considerate, more. The man is stoic, yet vulnerable enough to allow a peek at the tenderness of heart he possesses so beautifully. I watched the verdict from home, crying alligator tears as every juror said "yes." I knew with all my heart he would be victorious and on a path of renewal and restoration of his personal and professional integrity. Praises be for his courage and to his guardians, guides, ancestors and creator for standing strong beside him. 😇

He's a true, humble as hell gem and a legend at the same time. I've done photography but only for newspapers. But I have friends and former colleagues who are excellent, cracker-jack media photographers. They have my full admiration. Met Johnny one time he open the door for me at a gas station he's a true gentleman , I recall telling him thank you he my have thought it was because of who he is but it wasn't where I live most people don't do that for ladies so for anybody reading all I can say is thank you
just thought I would share form a small town in sunny South Africa... I worked for a local airline for 4 years and I always said I will one day work for Emirates Airlines. Well long story short the company went into liquidation and exactly 18 months later I got the job with Emirates after being unemployed for a year of that. Strange thing is that opportunity came to me... after applying for a position 4 years ago. From this day I believe that God always listens and gives when the time is right... dream BIG dreams!
