Thank you Sam, I did section a lot when I first started. But sectioning is just a method for managing hair, and it can be as simple as combing wet hair out of the way. There is no need to use convoluted methods if you have something simpler.
Your videos are awesome! My husband and I have moved out into the country and it can be quite a time finding a barbershop. Thanks to your videos, I cut his hair today! I've been a barber for nine months now. I started at a corporate place and my last day was the 14th. I watch a few barber videos and like techniques from each. I love the way you grab a small section of hair with the shears and put the comb underneath to cut. That just seems so much faster, yet precise.
definitely a nice cut. I have similar hair length. but i have trouble with a selfcut. How can I do this with just one hand? it is very difficult especially at the back of the head

There are many ways to section hair. Sectioning is only a way to manage a haircut, like a blueprint. But the same result can be achieved in lots of different ways
I have been cutting my family's hair for over 20 years now, but have no formal training. I learned a lot by trial and error at first (when I started YouTuybe wasn't around). I got a lot out of this tutorial. My older son likes his hair this way, but just a little longer in back. He likes it to flip up a bit in the back (bbit not a mullet). I personally like this more clean look. Thanks for the tips. I love the comb technique and will be trying it next time.

I think i'm getting pretty decent as a barber, been cutting my friends hair and mostly my own, which is the biggest challenge. Dou you ever cut your own hair with scissors?
