Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard: Couples Counselor Testifies 

Depp is the one who dominated the conversations. It is done with cognitive distortions and logical fallacies. Depp stutters to make it seem like he can’t get a word in edgewise. Heard was frustrated because he doesn’t hear her or is missatuned or lies every time he opens his mouth. He evades and diverts and deflects with logical fallacies. He withholds and stonewalls. He is an expert manipulator. Looking like the victim. He is extremely provocative. It is the Lucifer effect. Zombardo. Folks 90% of people. Milgram experiments. She is also verbally abusive. But no where near as manipulative and dominating as he is. He plays the victim. Threat is how he wields power. He is in the power position throughout the audio. She is chasing and begging and he frustrates her. He is an incredibly subtle liar. He is Machiavellian. It is a split personality. He does it to go off and get drunk and shifts all blame to her. His mother was abused. The father was a covert aggressive. The mother was scapegoated.

I hope she ends up with an abuser just like her

Pretty amazing to me that Dr. Walsh seems to view AH as the primary victim, I definitely agree with you regarding her bias getting in the way of her clearly making an objective assessment. I do not see this trial as an abuse tactic so much as an opportunity for JD to have a voice. Everyone deserves to be understood and have their pain acknowledged. I am a family therapist, a survivor of domestic abuse, and feel Dr. Lieberman hit the nail on the head. JD seems to have a much more nuanced and accurate understanding of his role in their mutual abuse but also more of a sense of safety in himself. This self awareness and ability to emotionally regulate does not typically show up in violent abusers, and I will say that this kind of measured control is not the same as superficial, performative charm that many abusers do have. From my limited knowledge of the case through the years, AH appears to have been the primary abuser: I believe she fabricated the allegations of physical abuse to communicate the pain she was experiencing, which she did not know how to verbalize. I wonder what traumas AH experienced in her developmental years that have caused her to be so reactive and disconnected from herself. My heart breaks for both of them.

Is it right that if only one jury member vote against JD he looses the case? Sry im from europe, our court system differs a lot from the US.

He’s certainly won in the court of public opinion which I think means more to him than any amount of money. The whole world has fallen in love with this gentleman again.

@@mortalemily the biggest issue is how her externalization of all of her issues has caused many people serious serious repercussions. I would say criminally. If she is found to have lied which 99% of people believe in their hearts she needs to be accountable. You can’t accuse someone of serious SA and DV if it isn’t true.

The abuse Johnny may have done mutually is known as reactionary abuse. When a narcissist keeps abusing their partner and chasing them to keep annoying them with words and hitting them, it's all to bait the victim into abusing them, so they can point a finger at the victim, blaming them and telling everyone else "SEE? He's abusing me, I'm being abused, I should be pressing charges"

Both of them are to be blamed. Johnny too had a lot of trust issues that triggered his ex wife's fear of abandonment. He himself is not stable.

Lovebombing combined with hoovering man, I've been there. At the beginning of the relationship they present as such a kind and loving person (lovebombing). By the time their true character inevitably comes out later the victim is well and truly trauma bonded. You end up in this weird state of hope/denial that the narc keeps you in to control you through drip-feeding you affection (hoovering). You hope so badly that the person you first thought they were during the lovebombing phase is who they really are but you're in denial because deep down you know they're actually really horrible and you're being played.

It’s in psychoanalysis. We are unconsciously attracted to a person similar to our parents or will have d same relationship with what our parents had or relationship we had with our parents. It’s because that’s what we got used to. Tbat is what’s “normal” for us.

I agree, near the end of the counselor's testimony she describes a telephone conversation she had with Amber, where Amber aectually asked the counselor if it would be better for her to file for the protection order before filing for divorce, or should she file for divorce 1st and then seek the protection order. Amber had a cold hearted strategy to hurt johnny in the deepest and most greedy way.

I'm a Texan. My fiance' is English. She, I, and her daughter are pulling for Johnny. He may not be perfect, but Amber is CLEARLY the aggressor. My ex-wife was very much like this gold digging "tart" - but not nearly as bad. I too, had to lock myself in a bathroom, to get away from my abuser. It's quite imasculating. Thank God for my English Rose. She's the exact opposite.

CONT’D - And also, this therapist it’s saying that Johnny just could’ve left, ummm duh. Of course he could’ve left, it’s all could’ve Amber. So if Amber really was as abuse that she said she was, she could’ve just left. What kind of argument that? That’s an argument from back in the 80s or at least 20 years ago. I mean that’s why I feel like this woman may be a paid spokesman for Amber side because she really just said the Johnny could’ve left, or people have said that about Women who claim to be abused for decades.

There were no bruises. It was makeup.

There was mutual abuse but I see it as Amber pushing buttons, seeking for that fight she saw her parents had and at some point Johnny would have snapped especially while intoxicated. We all will snap if a little dog keeps biting our ankle, at some point you will want to kick it, its human. The therapist picked up on it immediately too, an infected pimple has to surface eventually it's part of healing.

And, she was the instigator. She's a narcissistic psychopath. She concocted a plan with her friends to frame Depp. It didn't work because they're incompetent, and made it too complicated, resulting in two pairs of cops coming before they could fake the evidence. There are audios and videos of actual fights in which Heard provoked Depp, admitted to hitting him, and ridiculed him for leaving before things got violent.

Hang on, why is it only Johnny who supposedly becomes monstrous when affected by drugs & alcohol when Amber was also abusing both drugs & alcohol too? Plus Johnny's been using drugs forever & past partners never found him abusive; yet Amber has actually been convicted of abusing a former girlfriend. The woman in pink seems to think someone trying to protect or defend themselves from abuse is equally abusive, when it's clear Amber instigated everything & planned to bring Johnny down.

She looked like she was high. Kept fidgeting and looking around. Kept looking and staring at JD. He had to turn his chair. She seems very immature and a druggie. Aggressive instead of loving.
