Every time I hear this song it feels like it was written about my life and the things I have done and it gives me a lot to think about as I get older, but I can't undo some of them. I also believe that there was a reason why they were in there and maybe it made me stronger but I can't be for sertian but I know that it is done and I won't be able to make anything right about them and I will have to live with those decisions and I will have to justify them to only 2 people and the second one is me.

This is a great song, but David Allen Cole actually wrote this song with George Jones to record it but George was a no show. Then Johnny Paycheck showed up and they called David an asked him if Johnny could record it and he said, Johnny was one of favorite singers and he would be happy if johnny recorded it.an we are all so lucky he did.
