Cyberpunk 2077 is coming this fall from CDProjekt Red and R. Talsorian Games which projects the timeline of the beloved classic Pen & Paper RPG to the year 2077. So far everything I've seen about this game has me very excited and I do not usually get very hyped up about a new game release. The trailers and in game footage look positively fantastic! In one popular chunk of game footage that's been released we see our ally Jackie ordering "Two tequila old fashioned's with a splash of cerveza", the bartender refers to this as a "Johnny Silverhand". It's named for the long established NPC Rockerboy who first appears in the 1988 Cyberpunk 2020 release, and is now being performed by Keanu Reeves. A number of you have asked me for my take on this drink and I got my bottles out and got to work on it, and here it is. I'm pretty damn pleased with this one, I'd be lying if I told you that every drink I made on this show was 100% spot of perfect, but I really don't think there's a thing I'd change here.
Johnny Silverhand
Prepare a glass by rimming it with chipotle powder and set aside
In mixing glass combine
.25 - .5 oz. or 8 - 15 ml. simple syrup
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 Dash orange Bitters ( I used Regan's)
2 oz. or 60 ml. Tequila ( I use La Gritona)
Stir over ice and strain into the prepare glass
Using the back of a barspoon float approx. 3 oz of Agave Maria beer from the Last Abbey
