My favorite is when he says "He's fucked In the head, The worlds fucked in the head and You're fucked in the head because My fucked up head is inside of it"
when you do rivers quest line, if you sleep with him the next morning when your walking to the kitchen Johnny will appear and say that and along with it you get a shirt that says "fuck the police" XD@@Thefreakyfreek
There's another great Johnny line in the new expansion, shortly before you have to decide who to side with, and you ask Johnny for advice V: "What would you do, if you were in my shoes?" Johnny: "V, I *am* in your shoes" Really liked that one too
"Johnny... if you were in my shoes, what would you do?" "I AM in your shoes, dumbass." Also it's not verbal but, him pantomiming how to use a landline phone to help V out was hilarious.
One of my favorite lines is when you go clothes shopping in the city center and two days later you can come back and the store gets attacked by a cyberpsycho and you have to hold out until Maxtac shows up and you get interviewed (with the Maxtac agent being the same cyberpsycho from the teaser trailer long before the game released). Her: Name and occupation. V: Merc, occasional client. Johnny: Johnny Silverhand, legend, voice in V's head and occasional... V: Shut it Johnny. Johnny: Let me pretend I exist.
@@Flavirus6 Yeah, it's a full fledged side quest that, after shopping there then two in-game days will pass and a quest marker will appear on the map and it takes you to the store.
My personal favorite is "And Panam, heeeeeeeeere's Johnny! Out in the middle of bum fuck nowhere." I think it happens when Panam drives you out to the camp for the very first time
"Really, dickweed? That look like a bamboo to you?" is my favorite Johhny line, genuinely made me laugh for a solid minute. But I love this one too, this makes him look like he can be a softer person too.
You get that sense when he talks about Alt too. Their relationship was toxic as fuck, but somewhere deep inside, he really loved her in a way I think he didn't love even Rogue quite as much.
I love that Johnny has a small but genuine soft spot for Panam and the nomads- he’s a rockerboy too, and you can’t be an artist without being at least a little bit of a romantic. I bought the game when 2.0 launched and I’m still being consistently surprised at how much I like Johnny. He’s so well written! Not that that surprises me from CDPR lol
When I first played through that scene at the end of Chippin' In(won't spoil it if you didn't get there yet), it made me think this intangible apparition inside of a video game feels more real than most real people I know. The writers did something truly outstanding with his writing.
for me it's: "Wanna be clear - I will do you no wrong. When the times comes, it'll be my life for yours, I'll agree to get wiped." The way he said it... He was serious, you could feel his determination. In that moment I said to myself the same thing. "I would die for this man"
Honestly same. I remember really hating Johnny at the start thinking it’s a cool idea but being all team V. Started to get my doubts as time went on and once that line hit it was really a toss up of what I was gonna do at the end.
@@jagerfromgsg945that just shows how good the writing in the game is. After your first play through it’s really hard to hate him. I usually try to pick all the options that get his relationship better with V now. I’m not team V or Johnny anymore, but team V and Johnny vs Arasaka.
@@Tyren17k I hope that in the next Cyberpunk they really give players options. I really like Panam, but just a single romance option in a huge city breaks the immersion a little for me. They could have made more choices in Phantom Liberty (So Mi and Reed).
His entire dialogue from the "grave" spot is incredible. Especially when the music hits, with the atmosphere around you. Him laying out his despair, regret, and grief. It has moved me like no other video game moment, and I have played a lot of emotion invoking games.
I think my favourite is during the movie date with Rogue, where Johnny says to her: “I may be here on borrowed time, in a borrowed body, but… I’m here.” shits just so sweet
ngl the more i play this game the more i feel the distinction between Keanu and Johnny. I know that Keanu's no Matt Mercer, but I like the way he voiced Johnny. He really gets into this character that has no more fucks to give except to Arasaka.
When he starts getting wound up about Arasaka he really gets into it and becomes way more animated and upset, it's great. He sounds fukin' PISSED OFF but knows he's basically impotent to do anything about it, if even a nuke didn't change much.
@@rocket2995 No way gay Male V is a bottom, he's done too many overpowered shit, it would be weird for him to be like that, Maybe a switch but never a bottom.
"Hey look, V. That's you in the future. (All Netrunners end up the same way, fried by Corpo Ice)" when V finds Chang the netrunner who is stuck on the net. It was one of the funniest to me. Simple but very "brother's joke"
The line that still gives me chills is the one he gives to you after agreeing to go take on arasaka by yourself "looks like you just discovered what it takes to become a legend, grab your iron lets mobilize"
I also like the line with Panam where you guys separate after saving Saul and he says something along the lines “any other situation I’d tell you to hop on a motorcycle and chase after her” or something like that
My favorite johnny line is when he was talking to v about how in the past there was a word that people used when a person tries to convince another person about something that they believe it. He was like “we had a word to describe this, gaslighting”
That place gave me cozy vibes even though it's messed up abandoned little hut , the drink the heater and knowing you are safe from the sandstorm makes it cozy.
@@QwertyCaesar When you went through the transtellar terminal to get to the roof so you can pull Songbird up, you have to find something to be able to pull her up -- so you scan stuff, one of them being one small section of a ladder which is obviously not long enough to reach down 2+ stories and Johnny just rips into you for it, lol.
On the next morning, after Panam and V kiss each other goodbye, Johnny shows up, melancholic, and just stares at the horizon. He contemplates if V should follow Panam, and says that, maybe in other circumstances he would, but that in this case, they should just appreciate the moment they had. Absolutely beautiful scene.
My favourite is from phantom liberty in the tower ending where Johnny says "G'night Valerie, today was a good day." I think this is the only other time where V's full name is mentioned, fitting that one of those got to be Johnny, especially because they're saying goodbye
the dude jumpscared me cuz it took so long for him to pop up, I was thinking someone was gonna break down the door and shoot up the place. got me feeling paranoid
I really enjoyed this one, on my second play through. Before the Chippin’ In quest, I felt like this was a pretty sincere moment Johnny shows, that we all need rest after dealing with NC bullshit.
My favorite quote is from that one mission called 'these boots are made for walking'... Where he's like "Not afraid you might--? Ahh, what can it hurt. I'm dead anyway. Floor it. V."
We can all agree johny is such a good written character that we are going to miss and keanu did a really good job, I hope someday we see johny again somehow...
My favourite line has to be, "Poor bastard... you just left him." The way he delivers the line makes it sound like he's slightly disappointed, but accepts that it is what it is.
"Some things never change, gonks tick the ballot and actually think they're making a choice. Only ever been one choice in this city - corruption. Same shit, different assholes. And every time they think 'This time'll be different' Well, we get what we fuckin' deserve."
In one of the gigs V does for wakako i think, V is tasked with getting am implant that was stolen by a gang, when you finally reach it johnny comes out and says '' all this trouble for this little small piece? '' V says :'' its not the size that actually matters'' Johnny responds with :'' V, you i know both know no one actually believes that''
One of my favorites is in the gig where you sneak into the apartment of the guy who's a huge samurai fan to steal Johnny's or Kerry's guitar, I don't remember. And while scanning the posters he says something like "yeah that place was shit. But the girls made up for it. Best pussy i ever ate". But the one in Panam's car where he says "AH! You're starting to remind me of me. 50 years back. Minus the charisma and impressive CAWK" is also great
Its definitely my favorite line too 💯 Its one of the few times where he could've said some "Johnny" like.... but instead came out with that one & the theme only made it better 🤌🏾🤌🏾
"It's a war against the fuckin' forces of entropy, understand?" - I get where Johnny comes from with this one quote. I got Johnny from the beginning almost, because his anger is the same kind of anger I've only ever seen in combat veterans and myself as a combat veteran. Not the lunatic fringe, but the guys that went off saw their friends die in the most horrific ways and all for nothing in the end.
Johnny: "Here lies Johnny Silverhand..." V: "...the guy who saved my life." Johnny: *takes off his sunglasses and stands up* "V... You have no idea how much I want that to be true." "Of all the heads I could have popped into, hella glad it was yours."
My favourite is in the sinnerman side quest when u get into a surreal situation and the nutjob wants to convince u to go with them. Johnny: "Finnaly something that isn't a complete snorefest. Could binge watch this all day if I had some popcorn." "Hah that's it got no fking idea whats this is about but if u dont go with them im never talking to you again."
Oooo, stunning footage of the 2000 game Deus Ex, thanks for the recommendation youtube! Seriously, you'd think their algorithm could flag the name Johnny Silverhand as cyberpunk at this point.
