Johnny was right on about the comic aid gig just being an excuse for the audience to watch comedy performances. 'You've been beautiful and dishonest!' a true comedy legend.
Only this man can be so genuinely angry and not lose the comedy performance in its execution . Love you Johnny you really don't care ,brilliant put down for the heckler too!
I saw Johnny Vegas at the royal exchange in Manchester in 2000 and to this day it's the only gig I've ever been to where people were literally rolling in the aisles helpless with laughter. He was absolutely brilliant.
This is one of the best and most spontaneous comedy performances I've ever seen. To all the idiots, Johnny Vegas wasn't drunk at all, and to all the people who think him kissing the woman was wrong, he essentially pressed his face against hers, no tongue, no real kissing, he did it all for comedy, and both the woman and the guy next to her realised this, as did most of the audience, that's why there was so much laughter and applause.. If you don't have the capacity to understand things, don't comment on them. Realise this, because you just seem like idiots to those of us that do.
hahaha most of the audience that had clear sight of him :O not saying i am, because i know im not, but one thing i do know is that most really clever people are not as arogent as you ;) there is a difference between letting some know the truth and being a jerk about it :) have a nice life !!
jasper petersen haha read your comment again :D if one does not have the "capacity" of understanding, is one then able two know if they have it or not? and on that note, are you a muslim ?
jasper petersen What I said was in a more 'stop spoiling things for the rest of us' kind of way. The people to whom I am referring are those who genuinely believe he was drunk or don't realise it's all a bit of fun, no harm done. You know, the letters of complaint to OFCOM crowd. No I am not a Muslim, why should that matter?
I was very tired when i commented. The Muslim thing was a joke about freedom of speach (with irony towards the asumption that all muslims are the same :)) i know nothing of OFCOM ? :)
jasper petersen OFCOM are the company who people complain to when they see something they have an issue with on tv in the UK, you know the type, those who spend their entire lives complaining because they are miserable gits who want to stop others enjoying something just because they can't. I'm not going to get into a religious debate because I'll be here all day; so let's just say, the idea of a God is fine, but all 'religion' is a cancer.
That was great, thats what we all want, someone making a total arse of themselves, instead of some mediocre run of the mill comedian going by the book. Id love to see him live.
That was nine of the most uncomfortable, hysterically funny minutes I've ever witnessed. I've always maintained that comedy which doesn't make you uncomfortable isn't actually funny-by that measure, Johnny Vegas is a fucking comic genius.
@@davidhellewell4241 according to his autobiography, he used to drink every night before going on stage to combat his stage fright. I dunno if this was before or after he stopped doing that.
How was that not a kiss, are you blind?! I bet you any money she had wet pants and her tongue in his mouth. He gave her (or her bf) plenty of opportunity to push him away and say no, he waited, and then when no one pushed him away, he took.
As an American viewer, I get a great comic vibe from the guy and a real sense of fantastic delivery. I just wonder what the bejesus he's saying. (yes, I'm poking fun at my own provincial lack of exposure to different accents, nothing else.)
bloody brilliant !!! had me laughing for ages and i still keep watching it !!! nothern lass...love the humour ! total class xxxx funny how he's escorted of when he 's just starting to expose where charity money really goes ! good on ya Johnney ! continue giving it loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I think he is legitimately drunk, but maybe not as much as he sometimes acts. 'Johnny Vegas' is technically an wild 'character', i think it merged with reality at some points though. His act relies a lot on riffing with the audience in a surreal and drunken state. I think he's great though. In all the stand-up i've ever seen him do I don't think I can pick out a 'routine', all the gigs seem genuinely different. You've got to appreciate that even if he sometimes seems like a rambling drunk.
Not to mention he has a freaking degree. :P But yeah, if it is all an act that he maintains then that is some level of dedication. Some may argue that this is just him being him and it isn't smart, which may be the case, but still. He has had an education which is more than many people similar to his act can claim.
I agree with your statements entirely. I never meant to insinuate that people who speak like him are uneducated or lower class. I only meant that that's the way most people see it. And yes, propagation of these stereotypes is a negative thing and shouldn't really be done. But Vegas isn't entirely at fault there. I truly think, though, that the man is rather smarter than he's made out to be. All in all, I agree with you on the most part and apologise if I seemed like I was judging anyone.
I'm guessing he went way over time and they couldn't usher him off because he was stood in the crowd. He said he only had seven minutes. He was way over that by the time she came out to move him.
He has quite a bizarre act. I think you'd have to be smart to put something like that together and survive the gig. The man has to be a lot smarter than the Johnny Vegas 'character' because he somehow pulls it off.
