Did the commentators not know, or did they just not care that just 5 weeks before this he'd been injured in a bad fall, causing him to have to withdraw from the Grand Prix? The fact he's not afraid to show his emotions makes him more of a man than anyone who hides it. Johnny, you definitely be good. :)
It breaks my heart to see Johnny crying like this! He seems so truly sad, it's desperating D: I wish I could just give him a hug and tell him everything will be fine, he still the number one. Guess everyone feels the same way! Hard to watch his mistakes. But nothing will make me change my mind about it: YOU ARE THE BEST, JOHNNY WIER! You've made this brazilian girl a fan of figure skating. I simply LOVE you. Thank you so much for being an ice skater!
Whatever the ranking, Johnny will be remembered for his fantastic artistry. That's more important. The passion for ones work is more important than the glories! Watching him skate makes you get up from the couch and learn how to ice skate!
Crying isn't a sign of weakness. Since the moment we were born, crying has always been a sign that we're alive. I don't blame him. I would also be raging and full of emotions if I trained so hard and then I fucked up.
ohh I love him so much, he is so pure, it breaks my heart to see that he was not able to shine as bright as he always does. It just makes me wanna hug him a little bit and do something to unbreak his heart :S. Johnny!! you're the most beautiful soul on earth and you shine with every gesture! dont let anyone's opinion affect you at all, no one's better than you
I just love him!!! He is very strong! And crying doesn't make him any weaker!!! He is not afraid of showing his emotions AND he speaks his mind! I repect him a lot, for who he is!!!
Oooh, lovely little baby, seeing you cry makes my heart break :(. You're a miracle, you're divine - and it's not something that others can learn by practice, you were simply born perfect, angel!
OH MY GOD NO I CAN'T WATCH THIS!!! it actually breaks my heart 😭😭😭 shhh shh johnny Ohh god please dont cry! how on Earth could he EVER give a disappointing performance?! just the way he leans into her is heartbreaking
Weir is better than Lysasec. He´s more elegant, he has quad jumps and he´s more interesting on the ice; only he needs more calm when he´s in a competition. Evan´s behaviour is stupid there.
Джонни лучший фигурист Америки и мира. Для нас он чемпион олимпиады 2006, а не Плющенко. И он вечный чемпион США, а не Лайсачек. Мы любим тебя и Ламбьеля, Джонни!
I still love this man... so competitive and so graceful... figureskating is very difficult and Johnny, you are awesome! You can't be the best all the time! We all have our ups and downs, no matter how good we might be!
i love johnny weir. and im commenting on this video 8 years past its upload date, and five years since its most recent comments, so i can fight with youtube user harvey chadbourne
@@Iycoris that Harvey is a clown he seems to think just cause Johnny never won a medal at the olympics his not a worthy skater does he not realise making it to the olympics its self is major for any athletic/sportsperson only the best get picked I find his veiw very disrespectful not just to Johnny but to others like him who may not have won a medal whether its skating or skiing or swimming or running at the summer olympics those people still worked hard for 4 years to be good enough to make it to the olympics. Harvey is the loser not Johnny
This really upsets me. I don't remember seeing this. I must have missed it somehow. Poor Johnny. Give Lysacek a break, though. I'm sure he wasn't smiling at Johnny's pain. They actually get along fine with each other.
I don't see Evan as arrogant. Weir recently said about Evan: "Theres very little bad I can say about Evan. Hes a different person than me, and he lives his life very differently than I do, and he does his sport very differently than I do. But I cant say anything bad about him. Its his choice, his path. Hes always been relatively nice to me, as far as competitors go. I have no bad blood toward Evan. I cant speak for him, but weve always had a warm relationship. "
Even Elvis Stojko and Sasha Cohen spoke up and said that Johnny deserved the bronze. He skated two flawless programs and didn't get anything while that Takahashi guy took bronze after falling on his face.
Poor Johnny You can tell his tears are tears of anger like his angry at himself I can't imagine the pressure a sportsperson feels on the day of a game and when it goes wrong it's a hard pill to swallow
I like both of them equally, just for different reasons. Their artistic takes on skating are so wildly different from each other. Evan does "artistic jumping" and Johnny does "athletic dancing" IMO. Both equally valid. Johnny's choreography, though - wow, it's just stellar.
I won't say poor Johnny, he knows the game. He takes the punches and who cares if he cries, wouldn't you? Wouldn't a US Marine? What I don't like is Evan, I don't see any class or substance to him. He's a robot. Thank God for men like Johnny. Knock em down, he'll come back swinging and fighting stronger. Watch your backs guys...he's the REAL DEAL.
This really was a difficult moment for him, but ultimately I believe it will serve to help him grow as a person and as a skater. I really hope that the next season comes together for Johnny and that he wins Nationals in 2008 (nothing against Evan, but Johnny is my boy, LOL!).
I love him! I do not hate Evan but Johnny deserved better than he got in Vancouver:( You notice also-no other skater has a show on Sundance or anywhere I'm aware of lol Johnny's fun & interesting-and music on ice.
the best is how i was so sad for johnny, and then evan creeps in at around 1:22 and is waving and smiling and making faces, and i starting laughing hysterically. haha
I know what's mean to lose everything which you have worked for years in one day. belive me u'll cry...and it's not because your sad it's because your nervous...and I think he has the right to be nervous...
Evan got everything he wanted out of his athletic career, retired, and moved on to be a managing partner of a real estate company. Sounds pretty great to me - get national, world, Olympic gold then start over in the white-collar district and move straight to the top! Johnny redirected his career into more of a "personality/influencer" kind of thing. I'd say both of them are equally happy with their careers and lives now...not everyone wants to stay in the spotlight their entire lives.
So he cried for nothing, tho emotions are high in competitions.. he ended up in the winner's circle. He's a cry-er. He cried when he didnt win on the Food Network, it's hard to see men crying, it's a stereotype that men dont cry, but we all have emotions, some just hide them better than others.
It si on his website journel entry. He said it himself, that yeah sure he was pretty close to the ice all the time and he heard the crowd, saw the very last of the program and heard the scores but he didnt stand there and watch. He said thats suicide to him! Anyway its on his website.
бесит когда в такие моменты к людям лезут папарацци и снимают крупным планом, делают из жизни людей шоу до конца, фигурное катание раздражает своей бездушностью, Джонни крут!
