Funny I felt compelled to comment, and when I scrolled down to do so, the first one on the list kinda rolls in to what I was thinking. Those Winter's were musical geniuses..... Should that word be geniii? I dont know. Super talent. Sometimes in these live shows, which as far as I know is all that is available, they experimented on stage, sometimes it went too afar afield, in my opinion, but what they did that worked was wide ranging and inventive. True musicians those guys.

I had oppornutity sawing Johnny Winter on stage, Aix en Provence festival , France, 1970 August third , was "only" 16 1/2 years old, going there with my brother age 18, hitckhike from Normandy to Aix, my first festival, thinking I couldn't have been in Woodstock or Isle of Wight, too young and no money. Fortunately, loving music since 1962, I never stopped seeing live concerts, now again, age 67, and there will be more tomorrow. Enjoy music, peace and love. All, have good health due to what happened today. Kisses. René from Britanny.

Bought all Johnny's albums when I was buying albums. RU-vid has afforded us to see these concert videos we'd probably never would have seen. Love this internet. Finally saw Johnny and Edgar at Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival in Ft. Fisher, NC They played through a nor'easter that evening after took sides off of the VIP tent and rigged a wind/rain breaker on the open-sided covered stage nd the show went on. Edgar started with FRANKENSTEIN. Did his set then Johnny scooted out and sat down for his set..then they both did several songs. Troopers in that miserable weather. They were fairly dry...we were soaked. Wish I could post the pics I shot. Front of stage. PSISB&JF was a long running local coastal chamber of commerce event every 2nd weekend in October. Hurricanes since 2016 have put a cancellation damper..move to spring but just not the same. Atlantic Ocean to the east, Cape Fear River to the west. Your sitting on the dry land.

Of the handful of concerts I ever went to, I got to see Johnny winter. In Poughkeepsie, NY in the early eighties. The first thing he said when he took the stage was "we're gonna have a good time tonight, I guarantee it." Then he immediately went to a blistering number and never stopped. RIP Johnny. Truly one of a kind.

Great Bluesman. I first saw him at Pirates World in Ft. Laud. FL back in the early mid 70s. Awesome live and never relied on studio tricks to make it happen. RIP Johnny and thanks for all the music.

Oh my, I can't get enough of it. Since I lost my husband 44 years or so and my grandchildren and my son and daughter and my brothers and sisters. This song warmed my heart so much, I know all the words. My deceased husband and I would rock all night long and dance and hug and kiss, lots of beautiful wonderful memories thank you Johnny. Thank you Johnny you're awesome and I will listen to this song until I die Bella or Cinderella. God bless our world. 😇❤️🤪

One HELL of an outdoor concert back in the days when such a thing was possible: Robin Trower, Johnny & Edgar Winter with Rick Derringer, and Jethro Tull. I even remember most of it. Somewhere in Florida; bunch of us in an overloaded VW microbus. Those were the days, my friends.

Man, I've been listening to Johnny for over forty years now and I'm still totally blown away with his "brilliance" as a guitarist. In my humble opinion, he stands alone with his knowledge and phrasing of "the Blues."

Been listening to Johnny for 50 years, (man am I old or what). I still love to hear him play thanks to RU-vid. He was one of a kind, blues rock. I saw him live but can't recall where, probably the Omni in Atlanta GA circa 1974. RIP to a legend!
