Ello my dears!
We're back with another little makeover. This time I decided on giving Johnny Zest the home he deserves, so we completely renew the lot and give him the home of his dreams! ENJOY!

I know the story for those solar panels. The landgrabs are old oil money, so the first thing Johnny did when he had the money was to become fully sustainable so his family can't make money off of him. I also imagine he has a super eco friendly group of friend and they go protest against pollution. He also always talks to his party guests to join their cause.

Oh I love that! Maybe he holds rallies and organization meetings for good causes (including one for strong unions) at his house sometimes. And he does comedy routines at fund raiser parties, to fight pollution and other global issues. I can imagine Johnny being a big activist for Sim and animal rights but he's very charming and vulnerable about it because it means a lot to him. THAT'S why he got kicked out!

If you have University you could give him Research & Debate skill or City Living has that megaphone but I never learned how it worked lol that might be a career thing. (And you could make it a new save, add him to the family, fix his family tree, and then make them argue a lot so the relationship is bad lol although IDK if that might ruin his reputation. Johnny needs a Good one, where ever that feature came from, so maybe Nancy is always instigating lol.) Edit: And Get Together for his Activist clubs!

I'm a bit late to the video, but I had an idea for the look of all the furniture he has. Going off of j.stanley's activist idea, he bought it all from local businesses instead of going with the big name stuff his parents always buy. Not only as a sort of middle finger to them, but also to show their love of new, flashy and mostly lesser quality things.

Love this series. Maybe when Johnny got kicked out of the mansion he lived in the old bus and then when he could afford to build the house he couldn't part with the bus coz it was his first "home" of his own. Please do Vlad or Vanessa Jeong next ❤️💜💙💚💛🧡🩷🩶🩵

I second Vanessa Jeong! (Edit: And Vlad.) But I am eager to see the Villareal mansion Devon's already going after lol. I'd also LOVE to see Devon tackle the Oasis Springs AND Del Sol Valley Museums... honestly ANY of the Museums! I was trying to recall the other world I was thinking of and checked the wiki to see and I forgot there were more lots of that type because I almost never visit them. There's even one added in our Library that I forgot about which I assume came with Base Game or in an update and I might've deleted at some point while trying to whittle down my library before I gave up (lol since I DL too many lots from the gallery.) I hope he can make them worthwhile and I admit I can't remember if he's done any already lol but also I'm subbed to so many simmers that most of them have a massive backlog I still haven't gone through at this point. 😅

In one of my playthroughs Johnny Zest ended up becoming a famous comedian, so I built him a huge mansion across from the Landgraabs as a big middle finger to his parents. I absolutely love this guy

my sim married johnnny. then divorced . but after my sim had a failed marriage to another sim . they remarried and any day soon johnny will be a dad .. love johnny shame geoffrey and nancy dont recognise him as their son

I am here for these renovations of townie homes! Absolutely love this one too. The Landgraabs disowned Johnny Zest because he's gregarious and outgoing...two things Nancy and Geoffrey are not. Lol

@@Siren_DarkOcean_Official The 'real' reason is just that he doesnt fit the families ideal wants, since they want to be seen as perfect and with no flaws meanwhile he choose not to conform to what they wanted. If youve played previous sims games hes similar to Dudley Landgraab(Malcom's son)

With the furniture you went for a completely different style from what I'd have expected you to go for, especially considering the absolutely beautiful minimal outside of his home, but as always, everything came together and I absolutely love this. Your idea of Johnny being an entertainer in the double sense (both as a comedian and as a host to his friends) just fits so well and feels so wholesome; this is now - and forever will be - my favourite Johnny Zest home ever. I'll use this in all my saves from now on and treat it as canon. 😊

Loved the storytelling on this lot! I really enjoyed how you kept the trailer aspect of the original EA lot, but gave it a weathered / makeshift contemporary look with lots of entertainment space for Johnny to use.

I love Johnny Zest! I was once playing with him grinding out the comedy stuff and he won the lottery! It was amazing! He built a BIG house across the street from his parents, married a nice lady and had loads of kids. And none of them ever spoke to the Landgraabs. Living well is the perfect revenge!

Every play-through I do, Johnny ends up autonomously adopting one kid and living as a single dad. Even if I don't play with his household, I always make sure to renovate his house to have lots of fun activities for him to do with his kiddo.

i did a playthrough once, where johnny won a lottery for 1 million simoleons, then got offered to record his standup special (which also skyrocketed his career to level 10), then adopted a child, and on the first day of getting to know his new child, the kid made so many funny jokes that johnny DIED FROM LAUGHTER 😭 most insane thing that's ever happened to me in the sims anyway, this is genuinely one of the best builds i've ever seen!! looks absolutely incredible!

You have the best community, the storylines in these comments are fabulous! I have a soft spot for Johnny Zest. When I first downloaded Wicked Whims, Johnny and my sim ended up autonomously woohooing and had twins. They ended up being a cute couple. Edit - can you makeover Johnny Zest to match this? Some of his clothing is tragic!!

My save has a successful 40-smth divorcee PR guru who meets Johnny when he signs to her company, and they strike up a romance because of similar family histories. Theyr're currently just dating and he's showing her a less intense side of life - my Johnny's trailer is much less fancy but I like to think this is what it would look like after a little bit of her influence and maybe some strategic gifts from his rich lady friend!

In my save file Johnny and his Fiancé Guillermo live in a little mid-century modern with their dog Cash and their cat Geronimo. Edit: He's also actually related bloodline to the Landgraabs, but he has an awful relationship with everyone (except his brother, that relationship is acquaintances). He and Guillermo's mother Rosario are very close.

The outside is giving me very Joshua Tree vibes. Desert but make it chic but also slightly party but slightly hipster. Totally right for Johnny Zest! But then when you started on the interior, my poor slightly abandoned self almost lost it! I totally started feeling all the feels for a sim who I never cared much about before and you had me properly worrying for their mental wellbeing! Justice for Johnny!!

Ok so I had this movie scene play in my head where you're at a cool chill party in the desert and then Johnny comes over and starts like trying to schmooze you and you think he is some arrogant rich kid that shouldn't be here because he doesn't look like he gives a damn about sustainable living, but then your friend walks past and it turns out they're super close with Johnny and says "i love what you've done with the place" and you are gobsmacked because its actually his home and you realise he is one of the good guys!

I absolutely love this for Johnny! I knew the lore, but you brought it out further with this, he deserves this amazing house, and the story with it. Homemade stuff, the poor guy had to fend for his own because his rich parents didn't want to support his choices. LOVE IT, I might just do this for him too in my own legacy save file. So, I started the Not so Berry Challenge and my mint coloured Scientist married Johnny Zest, and he gave her a lovely boy named Rouge and surprise twins, but he died of hysterical happiness before they were born, so Pepper Mint took out all her mischief out on the Landgraabs. She clogged every sink, and transformed all of their toilets.

I've always felt bad for Johnny Zest, so I gave him a makeover(and made his eyebrows the same color as his hair ffs), made him a gf, and gave them two hairless cats named Spinach and Biscuit, then moved them into an apartment in San Myshuno so that He can pursue his career as a stand-up comedian. I might have him try to reconnect with Malcom and his dad, as I feel that Nancy was the one behind his ousting from the Landgrab clan.

so my sister is well known for never saying darn straight (but like the curse) she says it darn crooked because she is not straight. The ONLY time she says darn straight is on April 1st where every single time she says it she goes april fools and I always forget about it but you putting the string of lights and saying it can't be straight during pride month made me think of her and her funny antics. (during pride month everything in her house is crooked. My ma always avoids it cause it drives her ocd crazy

I wish I were some eccentric millionaire. I'd love to hold a contest where the winner has their home and lot made into reality right down to the finest details. Then the creator of that sims property gets to live there free of charge for X amount of months... then perhaps making it into a rentable air bnb situation afterwards. Would make for amazing content. I just need millions of dollars . Is that so much to ask???? Lol

i think I'll do this for johnny zest too, I feel sorry for him just for what happened in my current game I'm playing a sim that's not committed to serious relationships she will still have romantic interactions he invited him self in while my sim was working on her reverse harem and got sad I felt a bit bad afterwards
