Renovating Judith Ward's AWFUL Mansion | The Sims 4

Judith definitely bought this house in like ‘84 after her first blockbuster hit and just hasn’t bothered to update it since 😭

The Sims team must put together builds like this in order to *inspire* us to make renovations. That has to be the reason.. Right? 🙄😬💀

The thing that got me was how the exterior looked like a suburban house even tho the inside was marble from top to bottom.

Aden! That house is not a McMansion! It has far too much architectural integrity; the roofline makes too much sense; and the back facade is not a complete disaster! (It's still a MUCH better build than what EA gave us and MUCH better than Judith Ward deserves. Bravo!)

Absolutely loved Judith llamas! Curiosity: EA in Brazil changes the sims names, for exemple, Goth's family always have been called Caixão (coffin in portuguese) and I love it. It's kinda makes sense because goth archteture is not very famous around here. Anyways Judith is called Cláudia Menescal. Don't ask me why.

I don’t know Judith’s lure, but seeing her mansion makes me think of the movie War of the Roses with Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas, where the literally split the house in half. But EA still could have done a better job at portraying that.

I love it! The absolute kitsh 80s/90s Mansion vibe is perfect! I recently did an 90s inspired penthouse apartment with all the black/dark gray marble and dynamic primary colors. Very masculine and just 🤮. But the story line is that it's a historic apartment of a famous architect of that bygone era that has been restored by a very wealthy admirer that has paid out the butt to restore it and keep it in it's gaudy glory.

This is my first video I’ve seen on this channel, and I might have to watch more after the “renovating awful mansion” starts with just deleting the entire gd thing that’s so good

I saw the notification for this video pop up and I said "OH! I'M FOR IT!" in my best Aden voice. EA did her dirty but you cleaned her up nicely... I'm LOVING the absolute Judith Llamas and all of the shade. 😇🎉

I LOVE THIS! It's so perfect; just ostentatious, glamorous, and ugly enough. It's everything Judith deserves, including the Judith hair llamas lol. I'm just as childish and that's a delightful use of those bushes. I specially love how you kept the idea of the original build while improving on it with a basic idea (kinda French McManson) using simple details which hopefully shouldn't make the game lag since you know what parameters EA rolls with and it doesn't have a lot going on but it ALSO doesn't look horribly empty (and there's still room for the Glamour and Spa stuff if someone had those for example.) At the same time, I'm pretty certain there's enough space if you wanted to play in this; there shouldn't be any major routing issues. (I mean you've been building for so long that you know how much space everything really needs for a Sim to get by but obviously the narrower it gets the more that can happen, especially if they want a certain animation to take place, like the Woohoo request.) I do think the lore includes half the house being for her husband but you know what? PRETTY CERTAIN Judith would renovate his butt away after she divorces him (lol if it was a divorce since I can't even remember now.) I'd absolutely always replace her OG mansion with yours as soon as it's available. Btw I would strongly recommend that you find the Origin Set Up if you don't still have it, just in case (though it might not be able to be found), then get the EApp Insta elle because even though it's buggy (and the EA Ap WILL dismiss Origin without asking you first, like the little Judith Ward that it is, but you can potentially just put Origin back after getting the EA one in place.) EA is slowly dismantling Origin so if you're having gallery issues, I'd make sure you have access to everything via EA Applesack before Origin is gone (which won't be any time real soon but you don't want to get caught off-guard.) Both programs use the exact same ser vers so it's just whether or not it recognizes what you have already. If you see something go wrong, try repairing the game through the EA Ap pitself and/or visiting your PfP via that website (also same ser vers as the EA gallery) and that should set it right unless it's some other issue but you can also send in error re ports via the EA app so there's that. Kudos for this build! I'm just eager to see this on the gallery but also every time people say they have issues with Origin I get worried the end is nigh lol. And the EA A pp uses the Origin folders so it should be all good! Sorry for the typos I'm trying to give advice that I hope won't go anywhere like an upstate farm thanks to helpful censor mods on YT. 😅😊

Yup, definitely putting that into my game! It runs really smoothly, sometimes when I clutter my builds the build mode just gets ridiculous (even tho I have a rather good gaming PC) so I definitely appreciate that 💪💚

Awful taste, great execution. I love it so much. The llamas, clearly, are the biggest winners here. My favorite part is the backyard, however. The way it seamlessly blends into the cliffside, with the glass doors letting in those gorgeous views, simply stunning.

The original build's first floor was clearly meant for entertaining. The main center room is the ballroom with a piano for music. There are two bathrooms, one black and one white, to match the black and white theme but also one for men and one for women. The upstairs hallway makes the dance floor look more grand and is a rest area/ observation area for the ballroom. That's my take on it, so I'm sad you got rid of it. The ballroom layout is very bridgerton high society.

That original house reminds me of something built in the 1960's that your granny would live in.

When I first renovated this house, I looked on the gallery for inspiration. I was so confused why EVERYONE went with this ugly, boxy, blue suburban that kinda looks like a face on the front. Then I realized I play with walls down and never actually saw the outside of Judith's house before.

In every one of my saves, Judith gets knocked up at least three times before kicking the bucket.

When I tell you I CHOKED on my salad when I saw that house! This is like, I have no concept of building and I'm 12 and I just got my first Sims game.

I am sure that the Sims team make builds like this because they were under a time constraint. It makes the most sense. I do love how you redid Judith Ward's mansion!

Some of these EA builds have the vibe of a sulky child who was assigned an art project. Like they technically meet the requirements, but you can taste the lack of interest or enjoyment in creating. Very much enjoyed your excellent humor and high roasting!
