fun story I'm brazilian, and my first The Sims game was TS3, I was young so I played it in portuguese in the beginning of the video I was really wondering who the heck were the "Landgraab" and why the f*ck were they so important, then I saw Nancy and I knew "holy sh*t she's talking about the Quero-Tudo-Que-É-Seu family" and it's so funny because all made sense The rough translation to that name is "I-Want-Everything-That-You-Own" and that's legit the name of the Landgraabs in the brazilian portuguese version of the games, so there you go

a fun fact about jonny zest. if you actually look in his bio it does say he’s a landgraab but if you look on their family tree he isn’t there and it is only him on his tree. either laziness by EA or he got erased from the family.

Have Johnny Zest become rich and famous. Then marry Holly Alto and move into the mansion across the street just to annoy his previous family since the Alto and the Landgrabs are rivals.

Personally, I’m not surprised if Geoffrey and Nancy had Johnny Zest just a years before Malcom. When Malcom was born, they probably never thought of him as a spare since Johnny would have been the next head of the family. However, when Johnny didn’t want to be the next head, the family had all record of him being born into the family erased.

The Landgraab's also show up in the Sims Bustin Out: Malcolm, Mimi, and Dudley.

I just played the Sims 4 assuming that Johnny Zest was hinting at Johnny Test (just by the name and blonde hair) 😂

In the Sims Bustin' Out, for consoles, which was around the time of Sims 2 games coming out, Malcom Landgraab is basically a young adult who owns like the entire town, and steals all your stuff. You have to work your way up the social ranks in the game to ultimately move into his mansion and kick him out and get everyone's stuff back.

I played in the Goth family and had them be “friends” with the Landgraab’s just to know their secret about Johnny Zest so Mortimer could write a book about it.

Wait, in San Myshuno one of the Uptown apartments are called Landgraab Apartments.

I connected Johnny zest to the Landgraab family in the sims 4 but still had him be disowned. On playing him he got an opportunity for fame that boosted him to a 2 star celeb and promoted him 3 levels. He don't need those Landgraabs

The very first sim I made in The Sims 4 was an aspiring author who lived in the lot across the street from Johnny's trailer and they fell in love and got married and had two adorable sons. My sim became a bestselling author and Johnny levelled up in his comedy career and then I moved them out of my sims little house into a bigger, better one. Gemma and Johnny were OTP af and honestly it was like the most romcomy thing ever to discover that Johnny Zest was the ostracized member of some old money, blueblood family all this time lol.

I just saw his lot and was like, "lmao why is there a trailer park there" and even when my own made sims are out and about and I look through their relationships, "HOW TF ARE YOU BEST FRIENDS WITH _JOHNNY ZEST?!_ " I think I gave him far too much of a hard time. Then again, i always hated Malcolm as well

In my sims4 game, I had a teen who was going to Malcolm's birthday party. Everybody's chatting an' stuff and I get a notification saying Sara is very hungry and is going to get taken away if we don't feed her. (Nacy was doing who knows what) so I had to bottle feed Malcolm's little sister cause nobody else was.

One of my teen sims was invited to Malcom’s B-Day.She shows up,and the only other guests were Malcom’s parents.My Sim got very bored and when Malcom blew out the candles,Geoffrey was in his room playing Bitchblock.What a perfect family!

Ah this brings back so many memories...like the time in Sims 3 I wanted to play somewhat of a drama of sorts. I made a character who was a smooth talking, charming gold digger who wanted in on the Landgraab fortune. He joined the business career and moved up into management where he met Nancy Landgraab and talked her up and soon began a secret affair. He moved up the corporate ladder and even moved in with Nancy to her house, but they hid their affair from her family. I eventually killed off Geffory (dont remember how, maybe pulled the ladder from the pool or something I forget lol) and once he died, my guy married Nancy, took her name, adopted her son as his own and took over the business after becoming CEO....and then I killed off Nancy and the son when he turned into a teen and then my guy was the sole Landgraab in my save. All the money and power was his. He Landgrabbed the Landgraabs!

Jonny Zest mystery solved: Jonny (given name Malcolm Landgraab) was the first born son of Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab. He grew up as a good child with the wish to become a doctor like his Dad (sims 3), RBI’s dream faded when his dad moved career paths. Nancy and Geoffrey then welcomed their second born. Nancy aware of Malcolms lack of interest in the Landgrabb heritage decided that their second born would take the family name Malcolm Landgrabb for the hope he will follow in the right footsteps. Second born Malcolm (sims 4) quickly became Nancy’s favourite with his evil traits and greed. First born Malcolm (aka Jonny Zest) came to learn the history of his family, which he wanted no part of. His interest now being the entertainment industry. The family disowned him and Malcolm took his Stage name Jonny Zest. So there you have it, there are two Malcolms which explains the differences between the two characters in sims 3/4

I love all these family history stories. I've played since Sims 1 but never quite got all the connections and storyline for the families. I watched your Pleasant storyline also. That was pretty neat. And the Goths. I like how you piece it all together. Thank you for your hard work with all these.

I think the sims team not having to hold up a storyline in the sims 4 is one of the things that made it not as well put together. The other sims games they decorated people’s houses with little things you might not notice, they have storylines between families and especially. Bella Goth’s story for example, when you find her grave in the Sims 3 Lunar Lakes, and it all plays into the big storyline. They don’t have to do that in the Sims 4. They only have a couple of ‘storylines’ I think if the sims 4 wasn’t an alternate universe and maybe if they squeezed it into the timeline between the sims 1 & 2, the story of the game would be much more entertaining.
