Something serious. A couple of videos yall did about North Africa showed all the vehicles being used by both sides. Could you do something similar for the current war in Ukraine? Small arms, Anti tank, Vehicles ,Aircraft etc
For the post war wrap up I would be interested in how many POW were captured by nation and/or alliance. Where key materials such as oil and bauxite and cryolite needed to make aluminum came from and who paid for them. How much was spent on preclusive purchasing of strategic materials such as chromium and ball bearings to keep them out of the hands of the Axis. A breakdown of how much each nation actually gave to other nations including Britian aid to USSR, Canada aid to Britain and Lend Lease. Total expenditure by nation.
As mentioned in the book Death March by Yourdon which described badly run software projects, with which I have been involved with, elite teams are brought in to save the situation and then disbanded and punished as they are a threat to the organization. I see a similar thing in WW2. Case in point the leaders of Darby Rangers and Allen and Rosevelt of the First Infantry Division. Bradly opposed Rosevelt as a Divisional general because he was thought to be too kind to his troops. This may be a theme you may want to pursue in your videos.
The youtube channel Military History and Military Aviation had a joint show. They discussed why the Germans were not able to mount a sustained offensive while the Germans were able to do so on the Eastern front until very late in the war. Their answer was the allied artillery. In the battle of Kasserine, the allied artillery made their presence by both the 1st infantry division and later by the 9 Divison. This effect was further illustrated in Salerno and Anzio where the Germans had the greatest troop concentration since Sevastopol. In the battle of the Bulge, where the Allied Artillery held the Germans were stalled. A similar case could be made in the British 8th Army after Monty. Perhaps you can explore them in your videos.

I can across a youtube channel hosted by a military group in Minnesota. They had two speakers, one was that Patton was a military genius, and one that Patton was mentally ill. The answer was both thems were correct. The author that made a genius point pointed out that the US military taught the concept that commands should attack and win by attrition. This worked in WWI as the US came in the last year of the war. The author pointed out that Patton bucked this trend. I noticed a trend where US military commanders followed his trend and later adapted to much better strategies. Case in point the commander of the Texas Division that was massacred crossing the river in Monte Cassini found an innovative way around the Adolf Hitler line leading to Rome. There are countless cases of similar generals getting burned but later adapting to better techniques. Perhaps you can high lite these changes
Anything? O.K, Ever hear about the French General who unleashed his Moroccan Soldiers upon an Italian town and gave them 48 hours to rape and Pillage? I believe there is a statue in the Italian town Commemorating this.
If this comment is read, could you tell me why the OKW decided to produce the Panzer VI (Tiger) as the tank is good on the defensive but weaker on the offensive. In my mind that kind of stand in contrast to the OKW's philosophy and aggressive nature. I can imagine the introduction of the Panzer VI had a slight effect on the nature of the war with the Wehrmacht more on the defensive with "limited" offensive goals. I'd love to be there but, I've got an official match. It'll be nice to watch it later though.
@@Southsideindy Oh, hi Indy! Nice to talk to you (again). Now, I know you think I'm probably another internet troll or something, and you deal with me accordingly. I get it. But I'm not. I love your content, I'm watching since the great war. I've noticed more SI units lately, which is absolutely great, now the whole world can acutally understand those distances. I don't know if you know this, but on many separate occations people voted for the dumbest date format. It's the one you used. The most rational and sophisticated is YYYY/MM/DD. I did not came with this. Also, as you might be aware, day has 24 hours. And therefore we say time from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59. Do you see how simple it is? Just number. That's all. No am/pm crap needed. Fun fact, it's from the antient Rome. And as much as I love Rome, they did not knew better. We do. We use modern science for things like that. And I just think it's a real shame to bring down your content like that. Also: 'Murica is not the only country on the planet. There is no need to bend over backwards for their idio synchronicities. What I'm keep suggesting you, is universal and international. For everyone. Imagine starting your 2. WW week from the middle. That would be stupid, right? Starting from middle, then go to the end and then throwing the beginning. So why doing that with date? And also: saying 5, but meaning 17… Again… What's up with that? Why complicate things? Just use 24h time, everyone understands that.
How long will it be? If its going to be short (under an hour) is there any chance you could push it back 1 hour for us Americans? Most of us are in school/work then, so we can't watch it live then. Thanks!
I grew up in America and live in Sweden, and Sparty grew up in France to Swedish parents (but lived most of his adult life in Germany). Neither is English.
