Love your vlogs. Please never underestimate the positive impact you have on those of us who because of mental and/or physical health issues are mostly stuck at home. You bring the beauty of nature and a gentler way of life into our homes. Thank you for sharing your lives. Big hugs to Dexter.

Hi thanks for sharing your vlogs. I watch from Tasmania a southern island state of Australia. I have nearly finished watching your vlogs from the beginning. I'm glad I'm not the only who sways when back on land! Lol. It takes me 2 days after finishing a narrowboat holiday to stop swaying, fine if driving or walking etc, but swaying feeling when sat still.

Thanks guys for your live Chat, although I’ve only just caught up with you today. I love to listen to your chats whilst I’m painting. It’s always lovely to hear how you’re getting on whilst travelling around the canal network. My husband and I spent six months cruising the network once he retired and we travelled 1200 miles and through around 850 locks - best thing we ever did.❤

Omg I am absolutely gutted I missed your live, I work nights and nodded off and missed it. But loved watching it later that evening. You guys are incredible vloggers, you show all sides of boating which is interesting rather than just the cruising. Been on our boat at Aqueduct Marina yesterday and stayed over until this morning. Saw a Oakham guy in the cafe yesterday and wondered if you were still on the Marina. Would have loved to say hello. Richard is a great guy. Can talk boats forever. Keep safe and well guys. ❤️

We finally got to watch all the way through, so pleased it got sorted for you. Huge congratulations on 200 vlogs, they have helped us so much. We feel for boaters that cannot afford a house and chose to live on boats who must be daunted by the huge license rises bless them. Sorry guys I missed your live feed would have been nice to have had live chat may be next time glad you had most off jobs done on boat now let's hop this is last problems but like a boater said at start off live feed you are the first electric boat that travelling most days and a lot off hour's so all builders are learning from you so the next boats that are built want have these problems so everyone who going to buy one has you both to thank for boats getting better I hear you using air frizers so this will cut down on battery been used I still say having part gas for cooking could save even more electricity and we could put your husband on rack and make him taller so he can reach gas bottle lol glad Dexter is feeling better again we all love him but this last six months off vlogs you can see the muscles wasting away its so sad to see but he always looks so happy-go-lucky mind you say how much diesel you using but with old boat it was for travel only but know its for cooking charging battery's heating the boat over cold days so that's about 200 gallons a year so if you take all this off I don't think you have been useing more diesel guys shame about your plants but glad you getting more hope you have great week stay safe and warm big hugs to Dexter .

Hey Nicholas. Aww sorry you missed it too. Fingers crossed we have turned a corner with our problems. It is definitely new territory and it will be a massive learning curve. Love my airfryer. I couldn’t go back to gas. I hated that oven 😂. I definitely need a rack though. 😊. We are made up Dexter is feeling better. I have said to Paul about the need to top up the batteries after our heavy electric use. Take care ❤️

This isn’t the first all electric boat to be a continuous cruiser. There are some built by a very experienced electric boat builder in the Midlands, including a boat which was featured on Heidi the Pirate Boat’s RU-vid channel Tube channel the year before last. I find your comments about the builders looking to Morning Star as a “prototype” or a trail blazer for future builds to be strange. Would you buy a car that cut out on the motorway or used more fuel than a non electric one? I imagine the only lessons learned by other builders from this boat is how not to do it!

Hey Janice. I think what we were implying is that we are the first continuous cruisers on an Oakums boat. We know several other boats who are fully electric who continually cruise.

I got a quote for £14848 for 16 weeks which is bloody great in my opinion, expensive yeah then on top are airs and dogs flights, that alone is $6000 but that’s with the best company, my dogs are worth that. But seriously for a 16 week holiday that seems alright. BUT can we afford it? Oh and travel insurance, expensive due to our ages.
