There is a very interesting paper in the footage, it has some weird mystical symbols, which do not resemble Egyptian, Sumerian or Phoenician alphabet, I suspect there might be some forbidden knowledge from, who knows, another dimension or something; also some kind of strange glossy "stains" on that paper, which I suppose are some kind of tears, either of crocodile or Rupert's. Probably some mysterious alchemy works there... Otherwise, awesome driving post(s), and the idea of dividing handrails is quite nice. Regarding the tramway's controllers, maybe a tiny, tiny drop of paint (like red, yellow, a living colour anyway) on the top of the driving silver lever would look good? Just a suggestion. Good idea using the paper for the internal doors. I would have taken years of my life trying to paint the inside! The difference in shade is minimal but could be explained away by the sun bleaching effect. Very nice Patrick😊 I hope the Physio is kind to you!
Some masking (paper) tape would probably facilitate a little bit the inside painting, but it would not have been necessarily very easy to fix the tape in position. 🙂
I got the idea off a friend of mine from Florence, who makes scratch built model buses in 1/43 scale. I sometimes make the bus flanks for him when he's got large orders. Cardboard, styrene and microscope test slides for the glass. A mammoth job.
I had excluded painting directly on the interior wall from the start, because there's also the glazing. At first I thought of cutting the roller blind out in 0.30mm styrene, painting it and then fitting it. But it would have added thickness. Paper is thinner and a cheaper solution. In fact I could have even made the external roller blinds and cab doors. in paper. I'll do it next time😁. This project has given me lots of ideas on how to do the job quicker, also thanks to everyone's tips in the comments!
On the tram the passenger compartment is completely occupied by the motor. A driver could be added and some passengers on one of the opposite platform.
