I replaced the expanding retention pin, that holds the euroguard to its mount permanently, with an R-clip cotter pin so that I could install and uninstall my euroguard quickly from my combination machine.
I bought that euro-guard for my CU300 Smart three years ago - really like the way it works but such a PIA to even consider removing it at will as needed - thanks for this tip as I've been meaning to attack this for over two years now. Bill in Kerrville
On the C26genius with the US jointer guard; can the euro guard be had in the US thru SCM? Also can the C26G be had with 220V 3 phase (more power)? Does SCM import the C30G with the xylent carbide knives cutterhead? I read that the C26G rip fence requires some readjustment every time you switch from saw to jointer/planer? Thanks for the info.
You can get the euroguard for any machine thru SCM Parts. We can special order a 3phase version (3hp) with the Xylent head. Email me for those details.
@@SamBlasco Thanks for the info. Just delivered some 44 walnut boxes and in the midst of 10-15 antique rifle custom walnut boxes so will get back to you when time permits. Enjoy your vids. I have the planer with 6ft/min variable speed and Tersa. I take off about .010 with each final pass on birdseye board to avoid tearout. Stay safe in these times.
