In my previous video ( • Sharpening a Western S... ) I detailed the most basic sharpening method I use for my rip saw and in this video we will talk about a slightly more in depth maintenance task, jointing or truing the edge of the plate. I aim to do this every few sharpenings while some will do this every time, but either way it is an essential skill in maintaining a saw with even and level teeth.
