Araki design is way ahead of the time tbh, a lot of its costume are really damn good and modern. Hell even Gucci acknowledged it and tried cashing in very early back in 2010s.
Araki is a fan of fashion illustrations by the late Antonio Lopez (whom worked for Karl Lagerfeld / Fendi from 1969 to the mid 70s). He has spoken openly that he took inspiration from a variety of artists including Antonio Lopez. The style of the clothes was certainly something fresh for anime/manga, but in terms of fashion I wouldn't say so. If Araki were to design a JoJo collab with Iris van Herpen, then that would actually be epic.
The fact that Joey knows how to show off and EXPLAIN clothing better than some clothing channels and even big clothing brands is so embarrassing. This video alone has inspired me to purchase a couple of these.
and its not even like rocket science, its just simple styles to pull off that common people can wear and don't require your whole months salary to spend on a single jacket.

they do look nice. For me who does not watch Jojo and don't get the references it indeed looks like just some random but nice design items. I especially like the last dress shirt. I could see someone going in to office with that. With the only command that it's a smart idea to have the tie be part of the shirt it self. especially during summer.
Ok so I have a question about the sizes of the clothes and I'm not too sure if this is the best place to ask but here goes. They use sizes 0,1,2,3 and 4 on the site and I was wondering how this correlated to UK sizes? I looked at the size chart but information I read elsewhere lead me to believe that the numbers just correlate to the xs,s,m,l system that I am used to (meaning 0 = xs 1 = s and so on). If I wear a Large (UK) usually - what size would you recommend I choose? Sorry if this was a stupid question and thank you for any help in advance!
depends. if you google the measurements of L, its 74cm (length) x 58cm ( width) you just need the chose the size closest to the number. at least thats what I did.
Hilarious that the last shirt is for Kira Yoshikage...because you looked like Light Yagami when you first showed the shirt. But you could pair that black shirt with the jacket you got (I also love the flower pattern more) for the double JoJo.
I mean joey do have some cool drip, I especially like a hoodie you wear on trash taste which have different couloured sleeves. Idk it fit in but stand out in a way Soo well
