Joker 2 Trailer 

I have my reservations. 1.) It's very hard to pull off a Joker without Batman. 2.) The first film left you wondering what was real and what was hallucination. It likely can't do that with two protagonists. 3.) Joker didn't appear until the very end of the first film, and he didn't do much. Now he must fill an entire film, and win a girl. That's... gonna be a challenge, considering the Joker doesn't actually care about Harley. If he did, it would be wildly out of character, and not something he could do and still maintain the clown persona. 4.) That's not Harley Quinn. Anita Sorkin is Harley Quinn. Nobody else can do the character properly. Not Gaga. Not Robbie. Not Strong. Nobody. 5.) Hollywood has gotten really... weird. I doubt this film can escape untarnished. Honestly surprised Harley isn't black. 6.) Pheonix is a good villain as Fleck, but this is a very divergent take on the Clown Prince of Crime. His portrayal lacks the flair, the genius, that Joker flaunts. The Joker made his own lethal gasses and toxic sprays. He designs his own gadgets and builds them. He's a chemist and engineer, as well as a comedian and showman. Pheonix is just off his meds. He doesn't give us the impression that anything is really going on upstairs. 7.) Singing. I can not stress enough how hard it is to do a musical that people will watch. The best are still a little cringe. Even Southpark's movie got ripped for it, and it's probably the best example of a musical for mass audiences done well.
