The first teaser trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux was recently released and became the highest-viewed trailer in its first 24 hours for Warner Bros. since the smash hit Barbie. Joker was a runaway hit for DC in 2019, earning over $1 billion at the box office and becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. Joaquin Phoenix won an Oscar for his performance as the titular character and returns for Joker: Folie à Deux alongside Lady Gaga as a completely new take on Harley Quinn.
There's no way to know if Joker: Folie à Deux will reach the same critical and financial heights as its predecessor, but the movie's first teaser trailer certainly bodes well. If the musical aspects are well executed like they were in the first movie, Joker: Folie À Deux could become another massive success for DC and Warner Bros. After a string of box office disappointments for DC, this would be huge for the comic giant's cinematic reputation.

My favorite part of Joker is it isn't the origin story of the Joker. It's the origin story of the Jokers. As in the gang that follows Joker in every Batman show / movie. It never made sense why they were there or did what they did. Until Joker.

I hope we'll see the bullies from the first movie again. I'm not talking about the three on the subway, but about the ones at the beginning. The ones who stole him the billboard. Do you know why? Because then they were never seen again. Arthur never took revenge. If they had seen what it had become and been shocked by it, it would have been quite satisfying. This thing annoys me a lot.

If this is actually the real trailer, I just dont get it at all. The buildup to Joker becoming his character in the first movie was excellent. An excellent showcase of what it's like to be a loner with severe mental issues developing into a fully psychotic villain...made for a great first flick. But this second one appears to be really playing itself off as a romance flick. WTF? Definitely NOT SOLD on this one. Hard pass for me.

Hey all you hardcore animation fans out there, you guys should make Harold And The Purple Crayon: Real World Adventure Is Just One Draw Away!. Basically, it's the upcoming live action/animated theatrical film of the same name, but it's fully 2D animated and it's completely retold as a series and it's in a league of it's own entirely compared to said upcoming live action/animated theatrical film itself in the best way possible, period. It's also available to watch and have a unquestionably absolute blast with it either on both modern day crystal clear 4 to 8K Ultraviolet HD DVD and Blu-ray or on the old school retro Columbia TriStar Home Video videocassette and Laserdisc to make it feel like you're seriously right back in the good old 1990's days and right back to your beloved childhood days all over again like no time has passed at all to you (not even for the slightest nanosecond), period.

@@nancy4980 The template for ALL Jokers ; Cesar took on the persona of the comic book character and created an iconic individual. If the Joker had been filmed by 60s directors like Sam Peckinpah , Samuel Fuller , Hitchcock , Orson Welles... and Cesar was given a dark , disturbing characterization he would have , no doubt in my mind , been nominated for an Oscar.

I just wonder if they are going to depict the true abusive relationship of the joker and Harley Quinn or if they will glorify and water down there relationship. The true relationship in the DC comics shows the joker as the worst partner for Harley and would beat her and degrade her and would sometimes even try to kill her. I don't know why this kind of relationship has been glorified since there are other villian relationships far greater than this.

This seems like it's own universe so anything might go at this point. In canon the joker is also a genius mastermind but we haven't seen this in him yet. He's also shown here as being capable of forming genuine connections with people and being kind to people who are kind to him. As for the fascination with this toxic couple, maybe it's because they're both characters that have been really extensively written about both independent of each other and together. Harley isn't just the jokers girlfriend, she's a full character of her own that people can read about a lot and feel close to her specifically because she's been written about a lot. She, like the joker, are very unique personalities that are hard to find anywhere else in fiction so people might like them for that reason. Also because they're the most famous of Batmans villains, and everyone knows of Batman. So I think it might be a mixture of fascination with their unique personalities, feeling close to them after reading a lot of comics, and their fame in general compared to other fictional couples.

@@owenorders5202 Harley has never fell into a chemical tank in comics released before 2011. The first comic to have an Harley that fall into a tank is the New 52 comic, which is a reboot released in 2011. In the case of Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn she will be more like the original Harley and also won't fall into a tank of chemicals. This universe is too realistic for an Harley Quinn similar to the New 52

lol judging by how movie writing has been the last few years, Gaga, and the fact they had to use The Star is Born recycled footage…. I’m going to go out on a limb and say we’re in for a crapper.
