@@sonnynova6138 it’s not about chances. The hero has to keep winning to keep the status quo. Once the villain wins a single time, the world will be forever damaged.
The thing about the joker is they’re chaotic, unpredictable. One day they could be a genuinely decent guy to just talk to like with how Harley got manipulated, and the next. A gremlin of a man who plants bombs on orphanages and wants all the spot light on them, then the next a cold, calculating killer with no jokes being cracked, no words spoken. THATS why Batman didn’t notice.
The fact that joker was willing to do all this just to drive a good man crazy. To prove a point, and the fact that he’d make superman kill his own wife, and joker himself, just to prove that insanity is in us all. Batman was right to refer to him as it. Dude is a monster.
And that failed, joker was just a pussy, Gordon endured WAY worse yet by the end of this and i quote "I want that bastard locked in, and i want it done by the book"
Notice that in this scene he isn't referring to joker as a person. This scene right here is one of those moments where Batman admits to himself that joker isn't a man. He's pure insanity.
I love while Batman is talking to the "Joker" in the cell and upon relising that it's not him, he refers to the Joker as "it". This goes to show that Batman does not see Joker as a true human; only a monster...
Just like NYC, which Gotham is clearly based on. We have the softest stances on crime, and insane bail reform that let's nearly 90% of all arrests daily to walk and be RORd without bail. There are almost no real deterrents. No consequences for their actions and crimes so said criminals are emboldened to continue. Its a horrible cycle. The city could actually use a Batman type persona to help with the overwhelmed NYPD. Yet considering I live in Hells Kitchen I'd definitely prefer Daredevil. Or Frank Castle aka The Punisher. Crime in NYC has become progressively worse and would genuinely benefit from a person such as the ones listed.
I'm surprised none of these cops somehow felt the need to just shoot Joker if Batman wouldn't kill him with his own hands, it's not like they're all morally upstanding citizens and they should know any offer the Joker makes is deadly at this point.
EXACTLY! Like, there's not changing him and he doesn't have any morals or humanity left. Killing him for Bruce is the only way to end his torment, the suffering he's caused, and the chaos he's made. Killing him is the only way.
Yeah, Joker using her body and the implied (I believe he didn't do anything actually, not that that makes any of it NOT fucked up..) violation of her body as a prop is really messed up. Not that it isn't something he would do in this continuity, but it's too dark for a lot of people to see in their fiction, and I don't blame them
@@thesamuraiman the part with the gangster flirting with batgirl and her hooking up with batman was all made up for the movie to pad the runtime (and because the filmmaker was a bit of a perv irl) its a very unpopular decision
Nah he really ran a train on her with the men, that was what the track was for, when they used the cart of the train track and u can literally see the men one in front of her face and the other in front of her and moaned while the others surrounded. Then they went on the track. It was implied and said by Moore
@@JasonSavini except it was intentionally left vague in the comics and was flat out denied in the animation.. i get why people think this, but its much more in character for it to be just pictures
@@marcomiskovic3105the criminal didn't scare him,it's the fact that a force of pure evil has been let loose and there is no telling what he will do to torture batman
I love the contrast in between how him and joker are drawn, the fake one looks like he came from the animated series, whereas joker looks like a monster
I do love that this batman atleast recognizes that eventually, someone has to die & his ego that he's "better than the criminals" isnt the most important thing.
@@kwanholloway4112 for years they have always had this weird dynamic, I'm pretty sure Joker has joked more then a few times how they have a relationship and how batman "completes him" XD
@DUPPHLE PRODUCTIONS You're thinking about it too simple. Joker loves Batman but not in a sexual romantic way. Batman gives him his life's game that he'd give anything to play. That's why every time somebody goes to unmask him, Joker gets upset. He doesn't care what's under the mask and if you take it off then the game ends.
@DUPPHLE PRODUCTIONS in one comic thing Bruce actually kissed a guy.. Bruce probably has a preference for girls, but I don't think he'll pass up anything LMAO
Didn't just paralyze her......he roped her....and made Gordon watch. DC Animated Universe is the king of comic book-film adaptations. Leagues above the DCEU and stands tall to the MCU. They stick to the source material.
Every time I watch this scene from Batman: The Killing Joke (that’s the name of the movie😂), even when watching the full movie, I can’t help but focus on the person in a cell sticking their arm out, scratching the door.
After all of that.. Gordon still didn’t break. I felt bad for the joker about his ideology that “everybody is one bad day away from becoming like him”.. until I saw what he did to Gordon and he still told Batman to bring him to justice by the book. Everyone breaks under different levels of stress, pain, or grief.
@@yewsongkit4001no however there was one time he did break Gordon when joker killed Gordon’s wife, Sarah, infront of babies and then proceeded to kill those said babies it took Batman to talk him down but he temporarily crippled joker by shooting him in the legs and was ready to put one in his head whip joker was begging for mercy
well even if Gordon killed joker it is with I his jurisdiction so he wouldn't have break just think how the police kills dangerous criminals if they "threatened"
@@makisroditis7206but he would have, Gordon does things by the book and lets the justice system do its work, him killing joker means joker wins as he pushed Gordon into killing him. Discarding his belief to get vengeance
@@trevfisher4486 this will apply only if he execute him if there in a police chase he has the jurisdiction to use lethal force it's about the Grey areas🙂
@@MFnDahk you could probably either skip to the second half, or read the comic it’s based on. The first half adds a lot of unnecessary and straight up weird plot lines before the actual comic part to make it movie length
@orangegalen nah. The bad part was the Killing Joke part. It proves that the book is a bit overrated. I would've rather had a story about the consequences of Bruce and Babs hooking up instead. It would've been a more interesting story.
Animated joker are pure demonology where’as he is way more humanized in live action movies. Still its good Batman doesnt kill. Not everyone are murderers.
The fact that Gordon, when he got out of that hellhole, was still able to want Joker brought to justice "by the book" just goes to show how fortified this man is mentally; he saw countless pictures of his daugher after she'd been shot and r8'd & *still* held strong in wanting to see him punished justly and lawfully. Never undermine James Gordon.
@drwahooforreal Well in the movie Batman visits a sex worker in the area that joker frequently hooks up with and she states that he hasnt been around so he mustve got his fix elsewhere So its heavily implied
For those who don't know, No. He didn't do the unspeakable deed, he just humiliated her to break Gordon's mind. Still pretty bad, but things can always be worse.
Batman knows how dangerous joker is yet he leaves him in a prison with normal people as prison guards. That's like leaving hamster inside a cell room with vegtable instead of metal bars.
It’s not like the Joker has super powers. He really just continually escapes because the plot calls for it. I’ll give him the one time where he escapes because Harley Quinn falls in love with him as semi-plausible but besides that, he’s just a normal dude who has no right, rhyme, or reason to be constantly breaking out of a super max prison
I am amazed how he was not given a death sentence by the court already. At some point they got to realise that Arkham is no Azkaban and letting him live is dangerous.
@@Vatronn joker is so insane he’s not a pervert just psychotic watch the movie in some comics he is a pervert too but not always he’s just so insane and Batman in this scene is genuinely terrified too because he knows he’s gonna have to kill him when he finds him cause the game is finally over
@@CallofDutyBlackOps28 Nah I think it was the womb on purpose. Joker wouldn’t know but batgirl and Batman were fucking earlier in that movie. So essentially if she were to have gotten pregnant at all, the joker not only crippled her, he gave her an abortion.
Not exactly it's more if he doesn't stick to his morals and makes an exception, he might make more exceptions and at that point it's no longer an exception.
@@silentreaper4594 and what change does it make? does he able to reduce the crime rate in Gotham city? He captured the mass murderer and throw him to Jail, so the Govt. will take action. but he is doing it everytime, at this point who is the real culprit, is it Joker or the Govt? if the Govt is not willing to put Joker in Justice quickly then why doesn't Batman take action aganst the Govt. cuz it's the truth, batman is just a big psycho like joker,it's been explained many times how batman and joker are basically the same person with a different outcome "all it takes is one bad day" plus,it aint Bruce's fault, Arkham prison system should allow death penalty

I always wonder why someone in the JL or even Damian/Jason Todd can't just say fuck Batman this once and kill Joker on the Sly. Or hire a magic user, assassin (Damian knows plenty) or something to make it look like Joker died of natural causes so Batman can stop whining about his no kill rule
He turned him in. Tell me, whose job it is to eliminate joker . Is it the the police and the courts job to assign capital punishment, or is it the guy who fights crime as a part time gig? Those lives are on the justice department’s hands , not Batman’s

Dude has the highest KDA out of any human and Bruce has all the fucking assists. Its mind-boggling how joker gets out everytime and that red hood hasnt beaten beuce to him or just plain planted a bulet in his head whilst he was in custody or some. Injustice deserved to happen. It was 100% bruces fault
Ngl, never liked the version of joker that went this far. Especially since it goes so so far that it makes Batman and the whole Gotham justice system to look completely inept by allowing him to live or at bare minimum not having an entire army dedicated to watching him 24/7 to avoid such simple escapes such as this
the reason Batman doesn't just kill joker is because he made a promise to his parents to never kill, but the exception is the alternative versions of him (such as Red Death and The Batman who laughs)
For Batman, his code is more important than the life of an innocent..... He knows that joker never stops killing innocents, but he always protecting him and giving more and more chances to doing murders.
