@@galexusan3293 you shouldn't be looking for videos of films that you haven;t seen cause you will always find spoilers. it's the internet. get over it.
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE REACTION OF THIS TRAILER, OMG. I watched this trailer and literally cried, and I have seen so many reactions where people are just gitty to see it, but don't really have empathy. I know this seems weird but watching this kind of restored my confidence in society a little bit... I feel like this movie is being made to envoke empathy and make people think twice about treating others who may be battling things we know nothing about poorly.
@@zaimfikri6712 IT 2 is still remains to be seen though.i don't know im just not convinced that its gonna make bigger money than the first one. Shazam was supposed to make big money, but it was poorly advertised i guess it didn't even made it i to 400 million. But it got good reviews. Despite it being poorly advertised it did well.
@@daustin8888 yeah, but lets be honest though, the contents from warner bros are way better than disney thesedays. All Disney has been doing is remake all of their old cartoons
Out of 100 reactions I watched, you two were the only ones who simpathized for Arther or who actually get where the trailer was going, a depressed serious movie.
Ok, i'm actually giving this channel a subscription because of how much faith this restored in me for humanity. We need more people who are empathetic, and I hope this movie makes that happen
That was one of the best reactions to this trailer I have seen. I like how it had an emotional effect to you. :) And it is funny to see people faces when they watch the trailer because it is something very different than was expected. 1:30 "What the heck, why is this sad..." :) I had chills and goosebumps while and after watching the trailer.
The Joker might be the movie that brings DC up, it's like the saying goes "Gotham created Batman, but Society created The Joker" I think Joaquin Phoenix will do The Joker justice. Great video like always girls 😊💖😄
Someone put it perfectly by saying "In the comics the joker is created by being thrown into a pool of acid bit in this film he's thrown into the cesspool of society.
Great Reaction. Thank you> I feel...excited, impatient, and relieved that this will be a turning point for DC (although it is not officially part of the DCU) As far as the backstory controversy...As scary as it may make the joker to 'not' have a back story it think it is even more effective and frightening to 'have a back story". this film will lead the audience to form a bond with Arthur as well as germinate within us sympathy for him, this, in turn, will build inside the viewer a terrifying storm of conflict when he turns so sharply toward the grinning darkness and becomes the crown prince of all supervillains.
You two are one of the more underrated channels love your reactions wouldnt be suprised if Phoenix gets Oscar nominated to be honest hes one of the best actors we have what really shocked me is how good the direction looks its from Todd Phillips who did the Hangover and it has a beautiful 70s grain look to it like a taxi driver this looks incredible
It looked like he was trying stand up comedy and doing the clown thing as a side gig. he was also taking care of his sick mother in the beginning (since it seems like she can't even bathe herself). Yea, something definitely goes horribly wrong, and he likely tried his best to fix it, but gets tossed down the stairs by the people of law that are supposed to help common people. It also seemed like he had trouble smiling in some parts of the trailer. I feel he was just beaten down repeatedly because he could smile in the beginning of the trailer, but had more trouble "smiling" with the girl he was dancing with and at the dress-up booth when it seemed he was pulling his face into a grin, only to look sad. Then the beginning of his breakdown seems to occur on the subway. Joaquin Phoenix was actually crying and laughing in that scene, man's on another level of acting. I agree, this is gonna be a good one. Nice reaction. =)
I think it's the best trailer yet and potentially, it might be an oscar nominee overall. There are two symbolism scenes that I found it most fascinating: from the beginning, Arthur was walking up the stairs, struggling to be a better individual and trying to fit into the society, even though he wasn't naturally succeeding and the very last scene was Arthur walked down the stairs as he fell into insanity and accepted the harsh reality as everything was a joke to him than being positive and became what defined him as the Joker. This is probably something Batman can't understand what is like to be in the street that Arthur lived and dealt with on a daily basis, since he's luckily the industrialist multi-millionaire. The Batman's philosophy was obviously black and white as he go along, while the Joker's philosophy, however, was terrifyingly grey and more accurate as it's relevant today. Just remember in the comic book, the Joker's backstory was never revealed, that included the Killing Joke storyline as he was an unreliable narrator about his past because the Joker preferred to have "multiple choice." Whether the Joker fell into the vat of chemical or not, this movie is acceptable.
One of my favorite memories from high school: during lunch on day, our star Running Back of our football team saw some punk reach into the trash can and grab some gross trash food, and give it to one of our mentally-disabled classmates, who thanked him (he didn’t understand where it came from) and was about to eat it as the bully laughed. So that same Running Back got up, walked over, and punched the bully in the face as hard as he could, knocking him out. He got called to the principle, who, instead of expelling him, thanked him for defending his disabled classmate, told him they had footage of the kid getting the food out of the trash can, and that he would not be getting into trouble whatsoever. I’m not saying you should go around punching people, but that same bully even changed his attitude after that and actually became a pretty ok dude after some time. So for all the bullys out there, there are still plenty of people who will stand up for others when they witness it. You two are clearly some of those people, after viewing your reaction! Anyways TL;DR, great discussion after the Great reaction; the film looks incredible. I’m a Marvel and DC, etc...fan, but DC is seemingly back firing on all-cyclinders again 😊
I had a similar reaction, being a die hard Batman fan. Never really thought about what made the Joker lose his shit. This is real and powerful. Kind of rooting for him now.
They do if they wanna have good movies. DCEU is garbage, but i bet Joker will be amazing. And there's nothing wrong with liking the MCU considering they make great movies, you fanboy.
If you're into comicbooks, I'd ask you to read "The Killing Joke" by Alan Moore. It's a sneak peek to his backstory and gives an additional dimension to an already twisted character.
Pause and read the notebook he's writing in during the trailer. The top says Jokes and the last part is "The worst part about having a mental illness is people expect you to behave as if you DONT" with a smiley face in the O of don't.
Kinda like the realistic approach to Jokers descent into madness. I mean, it’s 2019. You don’t need to throw someone into some chemicals. You just throw them into the real world. Haha. My only thing is that, I really hope that this story about Joker is true. IMO. I don’t want to watch the movie, then we find out that it might not even be true, and that the Joker has been lying this whole time 🙏🤞
Exactly my thought. Definitely worked for the Killing Joke but I really hope they commit to a definitive (at least in terms of the universe this film occupies) origin for this.
Movie sucks! I literally walked out 30 min in and gave my nachos and beer to the guy behind me. And I never give away a beer. True story Believe me or not I don't give a fuck
This is something thats missing from marvel. The kind of characters that is dark and really hard to portray. There are only a few actors who can give justice to joker honestly. You will never find a character like that in marvel. Someone who is this crazy, dark and has a very deep perspective in life. As far as im concerned joker is the best villain of all time among the comic book characters. Say what you want marvel fankids. But in my opinion dc will always be better than marvel in comic books just not in movies. They are darker and the characters has much deeper personalities.
Zazie Beetz character and her son die in the movie and that sets him off among other things because their deaths were senseless. The end scene where he is walking down the corridor is him in Arkham going to visit and say goodbye to his mom because he became the Joker
yeah, like someone said. Gotham created Joker, now they have to deal with him. Oddly enough, in some comics I've read, Joker then kills Bruce Wayne's parents (before he was called the Joker).
