I just realized that similar to how Jonathan told Erina to run for her life as she carried her son to continue the Joestar lineage, same to how Joseph told Jotaro to run for his life in the final battle against Dio to save himself. Jolyne told Emporio to run for his life, and that was they key to defeat Pucci... The Secret Joestar Techinque truly is the strongest move they all have, as despite it not really being running away. It was the key to come out victorious
Well said, GamerMadness 🦆😎: And that "Joestar Family's Secret Technique" is not just being *running away* 🏃🏻💨, but rather a *key to coming out victorious in the end* right...
Now let's us talk about a "book-end 📖 kind of the storyline" right here... In which both Erina Pendleton-Joestar, Jotaro Kujo (in the Part 3: Stardust Crusaders' ✋ climax) and Emporio Alnino's are *now running for their lives as they're been carrying-up the Joestar family's will/lineage with them* right now...🏃💨
@@Geardovakhin And so, gear dovakhin ⚙️🐲 That the "one greatest virtue in life" was that of *sacrifice of oneself* , as in "dying for atoning the people's sins ✝️" just like a certain good carpenter from the Nazareth did right...?
Technically yes and no, as while 'onee-san' literally means 'elder sister' it is also commonly used to refer to young women, just as 'oba-san' and 'obaa-san' can refer to middle aged and elderly women who aren't your literal aunt and grandmother. I think the implication here is that he's calling her "Miss" since he's a polite boy like that. That doesn't lessen how sad this is at all.
@@dandelion5691 And indeed, it looks like the *entire staffs of David Productions' had put everything they have for Jolyne Cujoh 🦋🕸 in her one last time* right there... And that's *PERFECTLY ANIMATED* for sure...😂👍
When you think about it, other than Joseph & Kars, this is the other time when the main character power are much weaker than the main villain. Other than that, Jotaro & Josuke are about the same level as DIO part 3 & Kira, meanwhile GER Giorno are way stronger than Diavolo

One thing I want to point out that really stands out about Jolyne's character to me is that she's the only Joestar who is absolutely resolute and brave in the face of death. Jonathan was sad yet happy, wishing for Erina's safety and happiness and doing everything he could with his final breaths to stop Dio. Joseph, when he was crashing down into Earth was happy he was able to save everyone and content. Jotaro didn't even really get a moment to process dying. Josuke was always confident when facing danger but there were times he'd feel the pressure. Giorno just refused to die and did everything in his power to cling to life. But Jolyne? She knew she was going to die. She lost almost everyone in the blink of an eye, but she stood firm, saved the one person left, and when death was literally charging at her, she severed her only lifeline and chose to fight to the very end without even a moment of hesitation. When in the face of death, others would cling to life, but Jolyne wanted to punch it in the face.
@@Grayman2003 There were days when people couldn't call her a Joestar because she's a woman. "Women can't be strong blah-blah" but now she can confidently stand with them in one line
She is also the jojo that’s facing the most impossible odds. Watching her father- a demi god - getting slaughtered and then have the calm resolve to make the best out of a nightmarish situation. What a heroic character.
Her death was most likely the most brutal from the gang. Ermes- arms cut off and died of overwhelming shock, Anasui- donut , Jotaro- head slice, and Jolyne- arms sliced and face smashed to smithereens.
If you think about it, Stone Free passed through Anasui's heart. Yes, that means that Anasui got his heart broken by the one he loved so much. Jolyne's head probably ended up like Mindstorm's from The Boys (if you didn't watch It, he got the head smashed quite badly).
I mean Pucci was extremely pissed off at this point. The only person willing/able to stop Pucci's plan was quickly getting away, thanks to the person who has been disrupting his plans from the very beginning
@@Fluuschiafter the universe reset the story from part 1 to 5 is the same The only things that changes are the actions made by pucci so all part 6 story So yes Giorno and josuke are still alive
@@luvtay8804 I dunno. Jolyne and Jonathan are the only 2 Joestsrs to die in their parts. And they both die sacrificing their lives for someone else at sea. I thought it was a neat parallel
And as Jolyne faces certain death, with a burning resolve in her eyes, she calls Stone Free for the final time, dying along with her bloodline knowing Emporio is safe
Yeah like wasn't he still moving way faster than anyone else even if time acceleration didn't affect living things? Why would it be different in water aside from the stamina factor. Didn't make much sense tbh.
even if jolyne wound up dying to pucci it was still IMMENSELY satisfying seeing him lose his composure to her, screaming "JOESTAR!!" while diving into the water, you could tell he was at his wits end
Though we know all of them are willing to die in any circumstances. But Jolyne takes the cake for having face head on to one of the most brutal death of the Jojo bloodline
One of my favorite moments in this fight is actually pretty overlooked from what I've seen. Up till this point in the fight, Pucci has been nigh invincible. They've not even scratched him... ...Until 0:15. Even if it was just a tiny scratch, even if it didn't change much of anything, it proved that the priest was not invincible. This one little middle finger of hitting him with the knife that was meant to kill her feels so satisfying... I adore this trope, where the heroes manage to do something to faze the nigh indomitable odds... I have no idea what it's called, but it's absolutely fantastic.
I espescially loved his performance at 1:26. When he tells Jolyne that he won't let her get away and that he will kill her now you really feel his anger and determination through his voice.
And they gave their allies the weapons necessary to beat the foe they couldn't. Jonathan's body gave Jotaro Star Platinum, and Jolyne gave Emporio Weather's disc.
This scene is why Jolyne is my favourite JoJo. Girl laid down her life to protect just one boy from an overwhelming foe. And did it in the most epic way possible.
Dude, that's so awesome to be heard: Father Enrico Pucci's 🌈✝️ shouting-up " *JOESTAAAAR* ...😫!!" was pretty much a banger these days... And that was the *seven-letter word* that describes the family/bloodline our protagonists (the JoJos) belongs to...⭐
Jolyne was Outmatched.. She knew she will Die Against Pucci, She lost Her Father, Anasui and Hermes. And yet she still remained Brave to save Emporio and face Pucci down one last time, She knew Emporio will be their hope as she knows that he’ll be safe..
Jolyne might not be a fan favorite, but this scene alone makes her one of my favorites. She knows she's going to die. She knows that they probably can't stop Pucci's plan. But what she does know is that Emporio can survive. If she can make sure he makes it out alive, then Anasui, Ermes, Weather Report, and Jotaro's deaths meant something. It's a downer ending, but there's a bittersweet hope in that even if they couldn't stop Pucci, their deaths mattered.
Just like how George sacrificed himself to save his son, Jotaro did his daughter. And the same way Jonathan died saving Erina and the baby, Jolyne died saving Emporio. I love this series
Whats really incredible is that Jolyne's plan worked. She tired Pucci out forcing his stand to reset the universe, I mean she didn't know that would happen but still Pucci effectively would've died if not for MIH's ability
Its most likely that jotaro told her that when you ride on a dolphins back it brings you back to the shore in the safest way possible. Beautiful how this even after his death affected the whole story because only of this emporio could be saved. Its also worth mentioning that jolyne remembered that which shows how she always deeply cared about jotaro and payed deep attention to everything he said no matter how trivial it seemed. This whole scene was perfect.
Currently rewatching season 6 and it’s honestly incredible she grows and how often the story progressed because she as a character decides to be strong, move forward etc. Masterclass in “strong female protagonist”
What's wrong with female characters who are OP without reason like Jotaro? Because even though Jotaro isn't as well written or grows as much as Jolyne doesnt mean we cant love the character, find them badass since its fiction, and also just find it fun because we get some crazy ass fights either way. Clearly the critique here is just on woman who can just girl power their way through things and never men who just MANLY ANGER their way through things. Because if this was actually about writing preferences, then you could've just commented on how main characters who lose, or has balanced and no inherited abilities are way more interesting.
@@absoluteballs usually what sucks about current female characters is that they have no progression or conflicts that makes us attached to them they are written off as omnipotent characters that cant be hurt or beaten in any way, and in some cases, for some reason, lash out on male characters for... existing? best example for this would be Captain Marvel, who gets no development at all and is just this be all end all that doesnt care about anyone nor shows any emotion at all and it never looks cool or badass, it just looks plain, boring and tiring. EDIT: you could make the same argument about Part 3 Jotaro. but im pretty sure most people thought the same of him, and love his character's development throughout part 4 and 6
I totally agree. Jojo series has a lot of strong female characters. Part 2: Lisa Lisa - in the final confrontation with villain gets easily incapacitated and unconscious for the rest of the fight. Part 3: Holy Kujo - is too weak to handle her stand. Part 4: Yukako Yamagishi - loses in fight against new stand user Koichi, and not involved in the fight against main villain and irrelevant for the rest of the plot. Part 5: Trish Una - Daughter of the powerful villain stand user, but her stand abilities is nowhere near as his, and she has barely any impact on the victory against the main villain. Part 6: A cast full of strong female stand users along with the main protagonist, yet they all get killed by the main villain and we left with a kid to save the day. Wow, so many great strong female characters! I love it!
jolyene is the true embodiment of the joestar spirit, honorable and courageous like Johnathan, goofy and smart like joseph, relentless and strong like her father jotaro, and kind like josuke, truly,a wonderful and appropriate note to end the joestar lineage
When Jolyne finally gets finished off, and the water fills with blood…doesn’t that remind anyone of the ending to Part 1’s opening, when the Stone Mask fell in the ocean and filled it with blood?
What I just noticed makes her death even more brutal... Jolyne in her final barrage is closer to Pucci - Stone Free is behind her. So, Pucci crashed through her body so fast that she was still alive for a brief moment for Stone Free to be broke into pieces too...Damn..
@@bluemassgamer17 yess 😢😢 she knew she can do nothing .. she knew she is gonna die in horrible way just like her father and the others , and yet she decided to face her fate and fight for 1 last time . and yet
I always wonder if when Jolyne was stopping Pucci the final time, she could have become one of those really annoying to get out of nets. The ones where breaking them just makes it harder to get out of
