I never had an issue with Jomashop and I’ve bought Omega, Breitling, Hamilton and Baum et Mercier. The watches are authentic. You do not get the warranty and some cards may be missing but you get the real box. I’ve never used the Jomashop warranty and never needed to. I’ve saved thousands. Picked up a new Omega Seamaster for a smidge over $4K. Saved $1700
I have been thinking of buying an Omega from Jomashop. My logic is that the odds that a brand new Omega has a defect that requires warranty work is very very small.
Been thinking of getting a Breitling from them. Would like to get the warranty card, even if I can't use it. Discount and trade in seemed good. I don't know. Thanks for the info 🙂👍
@@scottlalonde2878 I have bought a Rolex, a Cartier, an Oris and 2 Hamiltons from Jomashop. I have not once needed a warranty. You should get that Breitling and save some money.
Jomoshop sells fake shit...thats why manufactures dont warranty their shit. This is like you replace an aftermarket exhaust and asking Honda/Ford to warranty a new cat. Buy a Rolex any time of the year at anywhere and they will fix their watch for a price but they will not work on fake watches for any price.
Yes, I have bought from Jomashop more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster for just over 5K which came with the fancy box and packaging, just no Omega warranty. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from Joma again for sure.
I've bought an Omega Planet Ocean and Omega Speedmaster Racing from Jomashop, both new. The first purchase I didn't opt to pay for expedited shipping and they were a bit lagging; the Speedmaster I opted for better shipping and it was worth the peace of mind. They're both quite nice and not lacking from an AD except I didn't get their buying experience or factory warranty. I do have the Omega boxes and paperwork which are valuable if or when I decide to sell.
I have limited experience with Jomashop but all of it is good. Low end stuff all under $500. Never needed a warranty. Factory warranties are not all they’re cracked up to be in this price range. A $5000 watch ought to be painstakingly manufactured, assembled and regulated, but if you get the one defective watch that QC missed, not having that warranty would be regrettable.
I got a new Omega Seamaster 300M from Jomashop and I have had zero problems with it. It's been over two years so any warranty I could have gotten from the AD would be expired now but I got a great discount on the new Omega. Total win situation for me.
I have never had an issue with purchasing from Jomashop. I have purchased everything from a Breguet retrograde to Maurice Lacroix. All came with all contents and original boxes.
My Tudor Black Bay Burgundy METAS from JS came with the Tudor warranty/ service card. It has the NFC chip to ID your watch and see some of the test results of the watch before it left the factory. I should note, It was listed as Preowned, but still had some of the protective stickers on it like the caseback and a few still on the T-fit clasp.
Thank you for a simple and thorough explanation about this grey market dealer. I have purchased sub $1000 brand name watches form JS and never had issues. A luxury watch costing several thousand dollars? I may hesitate.
I bought a Omega Railmaster denim, came with everything except the omega warranty. Pictograms, box, and everything else was in there. It was on sale so I save 2.5k off retail.
I bought a Tutor Pelagos from them and I am very happy. Got a discount on a watch that is hard to get. The watch is one of my best watches too. Go JomaShop!
I’ve purchased many watches from Jomashop over the years, brands like Tag, Ball, Oris, Hamilton, Luminox, Tissot, Victorinox etc. I’ve never had 1 issue with any of the watches, I highly recommend them.
Excellent points - great vid. I will say, however, that I had a warranty claim through Jomashop for a Tissot and, while it was very slow, they rectified the problem perfectly!
Great video, thank you for sharing 🙂👍. I recently bought a Breitling from them using funds from selling my DJ36. The watch came in protective plastic. After peeling it all off, it looked flawless, no scratches, no smudges, not even a polishing cloth fiber. Definitely not second hand or demo model. Agree you should ask first about stuff, though. I did not get warranty card, and was disappointed did not get COSC certificate. Got the box, COSC seal and instructions, but yeah kind of bummed out. Would it have been a dealbreaker had I known? No. The price on this model was so great, I couldn't pass it up. Process and delivery was quick and no drama. Thanks again.
I’ve bought several watches from Jomashop. Seiko, Tag, Tudor, Citizen, Casio etc. Most recently I purchased a Tudor Ranger for $2775 on bracelet next day air delivery. Watch came with original box and Tudor warranty card. I saved $600 under my AD’s asking price. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them one bit.
This is abviously a paid scam Review. No normal buyer would say I wouldn't hesitate one bit. Most of these are scam fake reviews, which should make you very worried to trust Jomashop.
I wish I got paid to leave comments. I don’t have any vested interest in whether or not anyone buys watches there. I was simply telling you my experiences. If you’re not comfortable buying from them, don’t. All good good with me.
@@kfkwAL7 I definitely did. I was told “the price is the price. I’m sorry.” Anyway, it’s all good if people don’t like Jomashop. I never meant for my comment to become some sort of endorsement or come off as paid. Just my experience with them to help leery buyers. I’ve had several good experiences buying from them. Despite trying several times I’ve never had a great experience with an AD for any brand. Good informative conversations? Sure. Discount? Nah.
I ordered a Raymond Weil watch from Jomashop. I couldn't pass it up for the price. It is the Maestro Moon Phase, an older model, but half the price as on Amazon. No local jewellers carry that watch.
In early 2022 I bought 7 watches from Jomashop within a span of 3 weeks. I bought two Tissots, one Tudor, one Hamilton, one Seiko and two other cheap watches. I saved a lot of money buying from Jomashop and I'm happy with my purchase.
Thanks for this. Yes, purchasing a sub-$1K watch, I feel comfortable going with Jomashop, knowing I at least get a warranty from them. At that price too, I really don't mind just going locally if a minor repair / part replacement is needed.
I bought a Tudor black bay from Jomashop. I somehow went through a financial crisis a while ago. Thought about a way to afford something to live and get me my money back. The watch looked like a perfect idea. I started heading to shops trying to sell it. Almost no one really wanted to even look at the watch or accept it when they saw that Jomashop card. The only way I could sell it is through Jomashop itself and they would give an extremely low price. Maybe because they know that no one would buy it from you ? I ended up not selling the watch and learned my mistake of buying a luxury watch from Jomashop. I hope people could learn from my mistake. As till now I can’t sell it even when things got financially better.
From my experience the warranty usually only covers the time keeping aspect. If it stops working sure they will fix it unless there’s say a broken crown stem or something like in which it was damaged due to impact and the warranty wouldn’t cover that. If it suddenly ran out of spec yes but if you dropped it and shattered the crystal then probably not. But every manufacturer is different. This was my experience with Rolex/Tudor though.
My experience with Jomashop was extremely positive. They had a Breitling Bentley chronograph with a dark green dial they were selling as Pre-owned. They made it very clear in the listing that it had the original box, but did not have the original paperwork for the watch. I bought it, received it very quickly, and love that watch! I have not had to repair it, it keeps time and works beautifully! So for me, I didn't feel like I was losing a warranty, and the price made up for the paperwork in my opinion.
I know this is an older vid but just stumbled onto it. Funny - I bought my Hamilton Khaki manual from Joma (obviously well under $1k) and 5 months in the winding spring broke. I had no idea about this stuff. Apparently neither did Swatch group who was more than happy to honor the warranty and were great to deal with.
I bought an Omega Speedmaster from Jomashop saving $1000 two years ago. It came in the original box and with papers. So far, no problems. Three years ago, I purchased a Junghans Max Bill and a Rado Coupole. They also came in the original box with papers. All the watches are still running and in fine condition.
I totally agree. When it comes to very expensive luxury watch, I would not buy from Jomashop or any other gray market retailer. However, I have no problems buying from Jomashop or elsewhere in the gray market for popular brand watches under $1000, though that is not to say I haven't had issues w/ those--read on. My rationale is, if I have money to buy at watch at $5000, for example, I can certainly pay a little more to have the warranty and the piece of mind that I get buying directly from either an AD or the manufacturer itself. For me, it all has to do with not knowing exactly the full history of the watch. As you mentioned, one of the possible origins of the gray-market watch could be returned items. I don't know if a given watch has not been touched in any way or manner prior to my purchase. Thus far, I have had a 50% success rate with buying watches from the gray market, and one of the gray-market vendors has been Jomashop. Of 10 purchases I've made thus far from gray-market vendors, I have had to return 5 because of malfunction, right out of the box. Those that have arrived functioning well, 4 have come without the original box or wrapping. So I wonder if they have been returned at one point in time to either Jomashop or the gray market vendor in question, and if so, whether they have been fixed by someone who an authorized watch repair person by the manufacturer. Only 1 watch of the 10 purchases, came with all the expected checkboxes marked: the original box and wrappings seemed intact and original, the warranty and all original documentation came (even though the warranty was not coverable by the original manufacturer), and the watch came fully functional. It was a Tissot that I purchased from Jomashop. Excellent purchase. Because of my experience above, I cannot buy a $9,000 Breitling for $7,000 to live in doubt, thinking that I'm really buying a refurbished watch, and if so, what kind of repair, and part, went into it. If it is a Seiko, Tissot, Bulova, or Timex watch, in general, a low-end popular watch brand, no so much of a problem. It would not be so much of a loss finding out that the watch has gone through a trip it should not have. But an IWC, Omega, Rolex, or Breitling, etc is a different story. I’d like to have the peace of mind that my watch is not only genuine, but totally new and untouched before by anyone that should not have touched it, and in the event that it needs service within the warranty time, that it will be serviced by an authorized/certified repair person. For that range of money, I can afford paying a little more to never have questions.
Hi - Thank you for the in-depth review. As you mentioned, ALL watches come with a Jomashop Warranty. We have an in-house repair studio that is functional all year long should an issue come up. FAQ's here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j5ifSFUtuk4.html However, One point I would clarify is that when we are able, we can provide the brand warranty as well. It is really a case by case basis. If we have the brand warranty available (Rolex, Tudor etc.) we will provide it. If we do not have the brand warranty, then we cannot provide it. Thank you
I just made my first purchase from Jomashop and it's a sub-$200 Seiko. Personally, I would buy items under $1K from Jomashop, otherwise I would go with the dealer.
I took the risk and I bought an Omega Seamaster Railmaster Denim Blue for 3.5ks, including taxes and ended up saving 2.5ks. It came with original everything other than the warranty card and Jomashop gave me a warranty card good for 2 years. I am very happy with my decision.
Informative video that I believe will help many that are on the fence about making purchases from Jomashop. I've bought watches from Jomoshop however like you, the price points have remained under 1k. And yes, you will get a black Jomashop warranty card. My higher end pieces have always come from an AD. I recently purchased a watch through my AD that you can extend the warranty (at no charge) to 8 years. The market is tough and every AD is trying to make a sale. I have a relationship with two ADs in my area and they are actually willing to price match.
Purchased a brand new Omega Seamaster grey dial. It came with full box and manual but no warranty card. I went to an authorized Omega dealer and they said the watch was fake. The real one had smooth edges on the bracelet but the Jomashop bracelet was sharp and coarse. I should have had it checked immediately instead of waiting past the 30day return period. Since the watch is fake, there are no savings.
I do plan to use Jomashop for my Aqua Terra 220.12.38.20.02.001 purchase. I'll be saving around $1500 and I think that might be worth it to me over the manufacturer's warranty. Not 100% but I believe that is the route I will go later this year.
I purchased a Tissot V8 automatic chronograph and sent it in for a hand realignment under warranty. They refunded my money as store credit instead of repairing the watch. I had to file a BBB complaint to get the watch back. Even though JS's warranty clearly states repair or replace in the event of a manufacturing defect, they didn't in this particular case.
i’ve bought few watches from JS, and coincidentally the last purchase was a aquaterra 41mm green dial. I saved 1k if i compared with AD and the box is that big wood box beautiful!! So i never had problems so far with JS and that’s why i recommend.
They sometimes list watches not in their inventory. Why else did my confirmed JS order didn’t arrive for 4 months. Also my Oris JS order was canceled after waited 6 months. Ironically they called me two months later and offered the same watch for $400 more.
Jomashop has always provided great watches at a great price. From Omega’s to Citizen, they might be a year or two old, but they are always the real deal. NEW watches rarely need a warranty. And once you do need a service or cleaning, the watch returns with a manufacturers for 2 or 3 years depending on the brand.
Bought 2 Hamilton's and 2 days ago I received my Omega 300M from Jomashop. Received it with the original Box and 1 card, Master Chronometer one. Saved about 1600 dollars. My dream watch was the Moon watch 3861 SS and I bought it from the boutique and paid retail and did receive a warranty card and a pictogram card. As of now everything looks legit on the SMP. 4 Year Jomashop Warranty on the SMP.
It comes down to the price of the repair vs the savings when buying from Jomashop. Never had an issue with a grey market dealer and if the savings is more than a potential service cost I will go grey everytime.
I absolutely refuse to order anything from them after a bad experience. I ordered an expensive in stock notebook from them and they took forever to ship it, taking over a month to received it. Except I ordered one in black and they sent me one in bright yellow. So I contacted customer service and in the end they wanted me to pay to ship the item back (even though it was their fault they sent the wrong item). In the end I decided to just cut my losses because honestly I had no confidence I was going to receive a replacement.
I just spent $10250 on a Rolex brand new came with everything. In fact, it came with the upgraded jewelry box. The large box from Rolex. I get the 2 year German shop warranty. The watch is absolutely perfect, it runs perfect. It came the same as it would came from any AD. But I saved about $900 and they had it. I did have to wait 5 years for it. Number one through an AD number 2. I have a 2 year warranty through German shop with a Rolex certified repair man if I need it repaired but the close to $1100. I saved with taxinal if I ever want to have it serviced by Rolex that saves me the money right there. Rolex says you should do it every 10 years. So you give you your first servicing free as well. And i'd like to also add that I bought first brightling I decided I didn't want it they gave me no hassle on $6200 to return it none whatsoever I actually got sick I've never been sick in my life I'm 52 years old and I had problems. With my intestines and I was about 12 days past. I was 42 days later and I called them just to see what they would do. And they said no problem. They took it right back and then I decided you know what they're so good. I like the Rolex, I'm a virus from them. And they've been nothing but great since.
I've bought lots of watches from Jomashop and have saved 50-70% on watches. In other cases, where the savings aren't great, I usually buy from an AD or from the manufacturer. Regarding higher end watches, I've bought an Omega De Ville and Cartier Americaine from them.
I sent a watch back to them under warranty and they said they couldnt find it and wouldnt assist me. Loved my omega until they lost it and wouldnt help. Tracking said it was delivered
Jomashop is the goat! They send to APO and support soldiers deployed. My Omegas have been amazing! I got a 36MM Metas Constellation for 55% off! Straight banger! Next war will be rocking a jomashop Omega 😅
My biggest question is whether the Jomashop warranty includes the use of OEM parts. If so, that's a huge benefit that makes the absence of a factory warranty less relevant for at least the duration of the Jomashop warranty period. I would love to be wrong, but I assume their watchmakers do not have a parts account with any of the true luxury brands they sell. This would be categorically true at an AD. Anyone have any insight into their policy in this regard? I have purchased several sub-$1000 watches from Jomashop in the past and have had no problems so, for me, it's not so much a question of the manufacturer warranty vs. the Jomashop warranty, but whether I could reasonably expect to have warranty repairs made with OEM parts.
I've bought a bunch of Ray-Ban sunglasses from them with no issues. It is a great place to get the authentic product at a fraction of the retail price. You do give up a warranty though...
I saw a video where a fellow bought an Omega from Joma. It did not have the wooden presentation box. It was in a cardboard box with a ribbon tied around it. They pulled the international warranty card but the other 2 remained. The watch worked fine with no issue. If you are a stickler for a complete kit, this is not for you. I have also heard the Joma warranty is sketchy.
A (wooden) presentation box is nice… for five minutes one. After the unboxing experience it’s wasted resources that’ll take up space and collect dust in a closet, garage or attic for years and years and years. I’d rather they cut a few hundred off the price; I’m buying a watch and not a display box.
Hello, new subscriber here. Great review of Jomashop. I have to agree that Jomashop is perfect for purchases less than $1000. Just recently, I have purchased a Hamilton Khaki Pioneer Pilot for $590, a Citizen Promaster EO2020-08E for $249, and a Seiko 5 SRPJ85 for $148! I am looking to add my first luxury watch to my collection, probably a Tudor Ranger, and I am definitely going to my local AD for that one! For every Ranger model, it is only about $300 savings at Jomashop. The free first service will easily cover that $300! But for the lower priced entry level, Jomashop is hard to beat. I mean, that Seiko 5 SRPJ85 was half-off MSRP and it just came out!
Just got Blancpain 50 fathoms 38 mm on NATO on Jomashop for. $7100 . Blancpain deprecates 38% after you step out of The AD, JLC 33% and Railmaster 50%. I’ve bought a Dozen watches on Jomashop, never had a problem and I always buy a 3-5 yr damage loss warranty. All watches have been in original box, all papers. I got a Railmaster Denim on Denim+Leather NATO for $2800. The Blancpain had everything including The 2 year Warranty Card from Blancpain but isn’t filled out. It came with 2 yr Joma Warranty and I bought a 5 yr loss/ damage warranty from Joma. I don’t believe The AD experience w/ only 2 yr warranty would be worth $3k. An AD in Vegas wanted $10,100 for same watch, . I got the black one and will use as my best dress watch. Get the 43mm if you can wear that size as dial looks even more stunning at larger size.
@@davidr2802 your right, it doesn’t come with a bracelet, it was the 45 mm Fifty Fathoms and it was a lot more $. but I can’t wear that big but I didn’t like the clasp on the bracelet. He wanted $10,100 on black Sailcloth for 38mm Bathyscape. I updated my post as I don’t want to misrepresent.
I bought an Omega from Jomashop and had no problems. But I received an email with a discount for a watch and when I went to purchase the price changed in the cart. Something about this makes me think that Jomashop is not trustworthy.
I too have bought less expensive watches from Joma for years. However, buying a more expensive watch like Omega or Rolex, it is important for resale value. Joma keeps the warranty card so I don't use Joma for expensive watches.
I only tried to buy a Hamilton once from jomashop. After I ordered, nothing happened with the order. This was on an item listen in stock. No email or explanation. I gave it about a week thinking they just need a little time. but I did need the watch by a certain date because it was a gift. When I asked about it they were like we don't know when it will be in stock. Then I asked if they had anything similar in stock, they told me to check online. I was like but that's the problem, this one said in stock and it actually was not. So how can I check myself? I gave them another week but I was forced to cancel the order and buy it on eBay. I hate companies that list things in stock only to not tell you anything and expect you to wait for multiple weeks because they don't even know when it will be back in stock.
I bought both a Hamilton Pan Europ and a Hamilton Khaki Aviation Red Bull. Neither came with the boxes but both were about 40% below what they are still being sold by Hamilton today. I’ve never had a problem with either and It was definitely worth it to me because the authentic boxes were ridiculously cheap on eBay. I don’t plan on selling either but if I did I would recoup an amount closer to what I paid.
I bought a Hamilton Air Race Red Bull edition from Jomashop and it only came in a little orange carrying case. The watch was only $220 so can’t complain.
@@coldpizzawatchreviews same with me! The box that originally comes with the Air Race is large and also contains a Red Bull toy plane. I often see them selling for peanuts if the box is important to you. BTW I bought the black dial version and put it on an orange tropical strap, I love the way the dial shifts color depending on the light. Subscribed!
Bought 2 watches from them. Both were Tags, first was entry level for around $1K and the second was around $7K. Great experience with them. Zero issues. These watches are fine. Never had to use the Jomashop warranty. One thing is that if you want to RETURN they do charge a restocking fee. I looked into it when I had some buyers remorse, but Im glad I kept both. The boxes were OEM and fancy. Just didn't get the warranty cards. I did have Tag service my $7K Grand Carrera because I damaged the crown (after the Jomashop warranty expired). I think it cost me around $700 for Tag to service and repair it.
I will add this, I brought a jomashop bought Tudor BBB to an authorized dealer, and they warrantied it without question. This has been my experience with multiple categories of quality gear. The AD has never asked for the warranty card. Watch, motorcycle gear, bicycle gear even sailing gear. Your experience may vary but that is mine. I will say that I do take it to shops that I shop at even though I may not have bought that item from them.
I bought a Breitling Super Avenger chronograph from joma shop, Retail $6,500 paid $4,000 saved $2,500. To me that was enough of a savings to not worry about the original warranty. Joma is an awesome store to get deals though, on there every other week
Bought several watches from them with no issues. We also bought a fragrance sampler box they ran out of, and they filled the order about a month later honoring the discounted price. I agree I would probably not buy expensive watches without the original warranty, but only you can determine what "expensive" means to you.
I did buy a speedmaster and a longines from them, no problems. I got the original warranty card with the omega and the huge box and accessories that come with it. No issues at all.
Many of the items i ordered from them had signs of wear/scratches. Also, you have to note that they are manipulative with the discounts; sometimes they would announce an increase in the discount as a special offer but the net price becomes actually more due they are changing the original price. So yes i saw them doing this cheap trick more than ones
Thanks for the vid, I plan to buy an automatic watch Seiko snkp23/27 from Jomashop, valentine's sale now at around 140 usd each, another 20 dollars discount for first time over 250 dollars purchase, ship them back to Hong Kong, will cost around 3 buds. I look and find no dealer in HK has that model.
I got a Tudor BB and it came with the box and all papers including a warranty card that had about 4 months gone by but hey, I save about $1,300 and the customer service was fantastic!
These are grey market watches major of them through warranty return then fixed and resale to you that’s why they cannot give you a manufacturer warranty card.
I bought a cheap Seiko for my young son for Christmas from them and it arrived obviously used and not working. They now want me to pay for shipping to return it. Completely unacceptable! I was eyeing a nice Omega on their site but not anymore!
I am in the market for the Omega Seamaster Americas Cup chronograph, $11,900 at the Omega store.....Jomashop is $7,800, well worth the loss of warranty.
Massive Inventory but I deal with Chrono 24 and all 5 purchases have been Chrystal and Authenticated with Box and Papers. The customer service is outstanding. Big Plus is the descriptions are accurate and never a bait and switch and excellent return policy.
