Man when was this I saw them with the blasters in 81 I remember when the blasters were on Belinda Carlisle was sitting right next to the drummer wow great video I think I was there❤👍

*Jon and the Nightriders* ride again! These four original members reunited in Aug of 2009 to perform and record five songs for a live audience. After almost 29 years and no rehearsal, they rocked the crowd like never before. Greg Ecklar also sat in on one tune. Incredible! Coming soon!

Man, would I love to see this whole set! Thanks so much for the post. The "Live at the Whisky-a-Go-Go" LP is a must-have for any surf rock fan. For my money, it's one of the all-time great live albums in any genre. I have it packed in my duffel for my desert-island sojourn.

Bought their album in '81--- more staying power & energy than many thousands of skinny tie/grunge/postpunk/new wave/power pop/metal/trad rock etc etc bands that came and went in the last 3 decades.

Yep , the ORIGINAL Niki Syxx (Jeff Nicholson) on bass....very rare and very cool.

Ha! I saw your name on another comment. I came across this trying to find video on Rose Royce, when Bob Anglin played a tour on "Car Wash" era. I have heard the "Niki Styxx" story before, from Jeff and Bob. Bob played guitar in my band in Oregon for 3-5 years and Jeff sat in with us a couple times. Plus I played some gigs with Jeff's Gospel/Blues band. I am harmonica player, 45 years and had a Swing Dance band up there, Bob could learned and could play great swing rhythm and Jazz too......even on his 100W Marshall with a Strat!

..wow, & their bass player is a 'lefty' playin his bass upside down, haven't seen that before.. after hearing one of their albums I knew Jon was one of the better lead guitar surf players around, it's too bad they don't come out with many albums today..

Yes, that is Jeff (Niki Syxx). I am a harmonica player and he sat in with my Swing Dance band in Oregon 2000's and hired me to play some with him in his Gospel Blues band he sometimes did gigs with. He played left handed for sure but, I guess I forgot it was also upside down.
