Unfortunately too, he is one of those people the Democrats fear. It is extremely difficult for someone like that to rise in this party. Three... as Lytle Chamberlain points out, Jon would rather be doing this than stumping. He knows the system way too well and would likely game it for all it's worth, but that would not make the man happy. He's enjoying his retirement doing this, I say let him.

Ok people, reading comprehension is fundamental! I said "Most" of the black people with large platforms not "All"! Just because you have a handful that speak truth doesn't mean everyone does and the Breakfast Club is a prime example of that. Its obvious that "some" people respond for the sake of responding and don't comprehend what is being said!

Actually McConnell didn't support the bill because he believes that is best left to each individual state and he's not for the federal government doing it. He's been consistent with that and has passed bills to give states more money for their own election security. "The Constitution guarantees that states and localities have the right of primary administration over their elections. McConnell has rightly opposed legislation that federalizes elections or imposes onerous burdens on states." The Hill article

What a brilliant and blatantly honest man and what a great interview - no talking over each other, no goading questions or responses - just a respectful talk/interview in which every question was answered and every response that elicited a reply was replied to and done so respectfully. Honestly one of the best interviews I’ve watched/heard in a long time and I was hooked from beginning to end. Not to say in any way that I’m a hater of, but I’m not a huge fan of the Breakfast Club but this was fantastic. Many may be asking themselves: Jon Stewart is so smart, and is so counter-washington culture, and he's articulate and impactful and persuasive. Why doesn't he run for office? The answer is that people with incredible skills and assets recognize that those skills and assets fetch a much higher price in the private sector. In a very real sense, the people who end up in washington are the JV team.
