Actually, we ALL need to DO more, rather than JP GET OUT more. Yes, to a degree we are all hypocrites by circumstance, we can't begin to live lives of zero footprint overnight, but if we all began to change our habits and patterns of consumption, accept some inconvenience, adopt some self-discipline and be aware of who the enemies of mankind are in their ivory towers, we might have a slim fighting chance of seeing our grandchildren survive.

It'll be doing the same long afer we're all dead and dust. But let's say you're absolutely right - because you'll never accept otherwise ... Extinction Rebellion is preaching in the wrong country. It needs to go to China, India, in fact any country with industry worthy of the name. Our insignificant little countries within the UK produce jack shit in comparison by way of pollution. And we have zero influence in the world now. We're nobodies. If we all went to live in caves and ate nothing but snails and grass nobody would notice the difference.

Those MPs have heard worse and have done nothing. They believe, for example, that if there are food shortages that they will not be subject to rationing of any kind. They will still be eating steak when the rest of the country starves because they are 'special' and 'essential' for the governing of the country.
