It's not shown here but if Kars defeats Jonathan one of his winning quotes has him saying that it would be a waste to kill Jonathan and that he will grant him eternal life instead. So Kars also has respect for Jonathan.
@@fishecake2794 He does have a stand. It's basically Hermit Purple but you don't have to destroy the camera, DIO used it when jotaro and the other Crusaders were getting on the plane to go to Egypt before I got attacked by a stand and had to crash-land where they had to go to Hong Kong.
This comes from a non-canon source, but in one of the official spin-off novels, Over Heaven, Dio talks about how he began to develop a second stand that he believes is coming from Jonathan's body. The stand in question has a lot of similarities to Hermit Purple. Iirc the novel states this to explain how Dio was able to watch the Stardust Crusaders through a crystal ball. Long story short, Jonathan's stand is likely Hermit Purple.
Yeah but in none of Jonathan's convos w DIO does he cotton onto that being his body. Would be weird for him to hear Giorno say 'Dio's my dad' and Jonathan to say 'no, I am your father'
I guess because none of them know that Dio had body snatched Jonathan when he made Giorno and that also means Girono is Jonathan's son. Giorno doesn't even know DIO that well other than him being his father. Still if you look at Giorno's line towards Jonathan in the last scene of this video, he mentions getting a strange feeling from him and then wonders why he feels warmth enveloping him. So a part of Giorno knows he's connected to Jonathan and Jonathan makes him feel good. That said the only character that indirectly acknowledges their relationship as father and son is Old Joseph and there's a dialogue where he freaks out because he figures out that if Giorno is Dio's son and if Dio had Jonathan's body then that would make Giorno Joseph's uncle (although the written translations in this game aren't that great and they write it out as Joseph saying he's Giorno's uncle which makes no sense).
If you show Johnathan Jotaro Jospeh and pre awakening Giorno all together they all look exactly like him the only thing is Giorno has a slightly pointer nose infact Jolyne looks like her grandmother and great grandmother with Johnathans nose and infact the only Joestar post Johnathan that doesn't look exactly like him is George and that's because he looks like his grandfather. Imagine if Johnathan hits a female character once the fight ends and instead of a full fight he stops instantly and he arrests himself instead of turning himself after

I like how generally everyone respects Jonathan if Johnny and Gyro win, Johnny’s remorseful and mentions that they seem honorable or something along those lines. Kars will turn him into a vampire because he’s impressed by his potential and even he doesn’t want to kill him.

Dio Brando is at that point where he still doesn't respect him. Giorno is mostly confused and feels strange around him but he does say that he gets a warm feeling from him so it's not like he hates him either. Of course they both don't know that they're father and son (I think only Old Joseph acknowledges their connection in one of his scenes with Giorno and it ends up with him freaking out about Giorno being his uncle).
So he can see everyone's stands, but he cannot see part 3 Jotaro's stand. He can see the one from part 4, because he does mention it. That's pretty interesting, ngl.
