7th book I cried like a baby. starting from when I read the blurb on the cover, and then the dedication, and then again, and again. Worst was when Harry walks into the Forbidden Firest when he is summoned and holds the stone. I wept and then threw the book positive that JKR was trying to break my heart. I was 21 I think. : )

its amazing how even though she's heard these questions countless times, she still thinks before she answers. makes it all seem so genuine. she's amazing.

Damn that woman! I can't watch an interview of hers without almost crying everytime she leaves the stage. She has stolen my heart and mind and I just cannot stand watching her leave us. And OH when she talks about finishing it my goodness, how that must of felt for her, as overwhelmed as I was at the end (more from the finality of it than the actually story) she is 200 times more connected with those characters than we ever were. wow.

It's easy to forget that she hasn't just created a series of characters and a storyline, she has created an entire WORLD. That is an amazing achievement, and I can't thank her enough. It's my favourite series of books by a long shot, and I'm sad that they're finished but at the same time I think that it shouldn't be continued. I will read this book to my kids and pass on the magic :)

I am so impressed with J.k Rowling books on Harry Potter I never been a fan into book 2 the movie came out when a bunch of my friends watched it...I ended up borrowing there books and finished 1 book in 1 week stayin up late just reading it....I hated books but this one was probably the best one I ever read in my life....

I have to agree with bukwerm827 Unless you have written an entire novel, let alone 7 bestsellers.... i hardly think that you can comment on the level of difficulty in writing. The fact of the matter is that it can often be an extremely trying task, intellecually, emotionally, and can even take a very physical effect on a person. It is friggen hard work, and if only for all of the good that she has done by getting kids to read, she deserves every penny and moreover our thanks.

Although I didn't like that a lot of the characters died, it wasn't "stupid". In the Harry Potter series, they were fighting a war against a very dangerous wizard. Jo knew what she was doing, she's a pro. But I do wish certain characters didn't die. =(

I reckon it was the chapter when Harry goes to give himself up to voldemort and sees his parents, sirius and lupin with the resurection stone- I for one cried like a baby during that chapter

Pedro- I think you'll find that she DOES have a sense of humour, if she didnt she wouldn't have laughed at or understood any of Ross' jokes. Just because she didn't make many jokes her self doesnt show lack of humour. In fact if you've READ the books you'll see she has a fantastic sense of humour. And I don't find her boring at all, she lives a facinating life, has an interseting backstory and is a fantastic writer.

It seemed to me like Jonathan had to keep prodding + prodding to get her to speak.. she answered his questions, but she didn't really carry the interview. It disappointed me.. but that said, I am not dissing JK Rowling at all! I think the woman is an absolute genious.. she really has upped the ante for authors everywhere :)

I think that chapter was when Snape died. Knowing his true story, it probably did make her cry... it would've made me cry! Although I did cry when Fred died too... maybe it was when Harry walked in on all the dead people?

@Analeigh999 I, since reading Prisoner of Azkaban when it first came out, thought it would be absolutely marvelous to have a Marauders Series. Everything could be explained in more detail and it would be a fantastic accompaniment to the original series as well.

@bbphnix In regard to the prequel, she did do one. It was a 400 work story in which she gave the rights to a charity and the story sold on little cards at Barons and Noble. It was a cute little short about Harry potters father and Sirius Black running from Muggle cops. But not a whole other book.
