Nice video, gives a real feeling of someone who just loves bikes. I love the rigid style of riding and I have a 2014 Spaceframe and it rides soooo smooooth. 10 thousand miles on it and I want another one!

Its like show dogs vs working dogs. The working dog is optimized for say herding while the show dog is optimized for color and whatever else. IMO, build for function and then after optimized refine for esthetics. Im planning on a way to get a Jones bike. I love that blue color too. I may just end up with a complete swb in black. Im sure the color won't matter after i fall in love with the function. I think these bikes ARE modern classics. They are unique and highly functional and therefore beautiful and above all else they perform. Now back to selling so i can swing one of these workhorses!

All those curved tubes are just a style statement IMO. Straight ones would do the job and be stronger and lighter. Let the tyres do the job of handling compliance.

+epicyclo I thought that but then I tried one out of curiosity and was quite surprised how good it was - riding ' normal bikes' now feels odd - each to their own I suppose - works for me

+epicyclo The truss fork is about stiffness not compliance. Jones offers a standard unicrown fork for the regular 29er frame (the Plus geometry requires additional fork offset so the standard fork won't work here) - it is both heavier and slightly less stiff than the truss fork with the same geometry. Trusses work.

+David Philips Trusses definitely work, but they work even better with straight tubes. Which also means less weight.

+Sam Lawson I have heard nothing but good about how the bike handles, and see no reason to disbelieve that. I just think it could be made lighter using straight tubes and lose none of its virtues.
