I'm in my 70's with dry skin , this really helped me especially the Balm part too, I just bought the face pencil #5 and wasn't sure how to apply it. This helped more than the Jones Road website. Thank you!

These are great if you're 20 or 30. That's so hot when you're 60. No matter the amount of moisturization you have, and I do use Jones Road products, the pencils tend to pull tend to pull. I hydrate eyes, face, then tinted suscreen from either Australian Gold or Laroche- Posey. I don't have this problem with concealers from IT.
This is so useful, thank you! I have such weird dry skin and it's really hard for me to find a good concealer that covers my dark circles, hydrates and doesn't crease. I took an online makeup class by Bobbi Brown and she used those pencils on the models. I loved the natural look but I'm still hesitant to spend money on them without trying them first. Your tip of pairing them with the balm really helps!
That’s a really good tip, to pair it with the balm. I just wish she didn’t put rosemary oil in the products, because I’m really sensitive to that kind of thing - Glossier Future Dew has it and if I’m irritated from retinol I can’t use it because it stings my face. I love soooo many Bobbi Brown products - was my first higher end foundation and concealer I ever bought, about 20 years ago. I noticed a lot of BB skincare and even some foundation (serum one) has lavender oil. I absolutely love the serum foundation, however. I’m glad Bobbi has come out with new stuff that is 100% Bobbi - I was sad when she left her namesake company - must have felt weird to build something and leave, but I know she didn’t agree with the direction they were going in 100% - maybe too much colorful stuff?
So the bronze is the one you used or tawny? I just got a bunch of Jones Road and am deciding what to keep but with this video it was super helpful because I was doing it the wrong way.

Thanks for your question! I have naturally oily skin, but I still didn't find that was enough to blend them well on initial application in the morning when my skin was fresh. However, later in the day when I wanted a touch up, my natural oils were enough to blend them out. Hope that helps!
