Jesus is the meaning behind commitment”. Thank you Ken and Joni, in 2020 you still meant what you said. Praise God for your example that reminds me what to do with my weakness(es).

"Why in the the world should a disability give any of us time off from obeying God? Why should our inconveniences or our suffering affliction give us an excuse to sin?". AMEN to that! The world tell us to test-drive sex before marriage. But it's ALWAYS better to obey the Lord and wait until marriage, no matter what our physical or emotional challenges are. Thank you, Ken and Joni, for modeling God's way for the world to see! And years later, you are both still in love with the Lord and each other!!!

Seeing the footage of Joni in that striker frame and being aware of her suffering, I always felt blessed to have met her long ago in '71. Her life and message has meant a lot to me.

God bless you Mrs. Joni. You and God gives me the strength to remain positive. I deal with R. S. D and somedays I just wanna give up for the pain gets to me. I ruined a marriage of over 30 yrs and 2 sons that don't talk to me at this time due to getting addicted to the medication and lost control of everything. But listening to you and allowing Jesus and God in my heart I realize I can't give up for my story God has another chapter and a better life were he's leading me. Coming up on 1 yr in sobriety and in a Christian church and waiting to be baptized. My Pastor Tim Patrick gave me a book of yours and took off running with it. Me and my Pastor have a great relationship. You , him and God in my life keeps me praying and remaining positive and keeping the FAITH in Jesus. He's got a plan and my back. Please say a prayer for my Pastor, his wife is fighting cancer but I know GOD can move mountains. I thank you for helping me to remain positive. God Bless you and your family. Her perseverence helped me get through times of tough facing facts and my choices that broke my spirit like her spine. Creator expects us to ignore people and religions to face the reality of life.

Joni taught me as a child through her actions that there really is no such thing as having a disability. Limitations yes, but not a disability. When I was about 10 I had a buddy in school who had downs syndrome, and we became good friends in school. He once told me, I can't help that I have a disability. I was born this way and I remember saying, you don't have a disability. Your fully capable of doing anything you put your mind to.......I'm pretty sure I was influenced by JonnI that time. Fast forward 30 years later, I have a daughter who has autism and I say the same thing to her. I tell her that she is fully capable of doing whatever she puts her mind to.

Total dependance on The Father is what allows you to become as a little child Worthy to Inherit The Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven! There are very, very few who have that Gift to hold on to!
