This is Joola's latest addition to the highly regarded Hyperion Paddle series. The Hyperion 14mm CFS is the more power oriented version of the Signature Ben John's Hyperion 16mm. Although it's very good I have my reservations.

I'm on my 3rd 16mm Hyperion, because they keep breaking at the handle. A huge design flaw that none of these reviews talk about.

@@PickleballWill @davidpossien3061 I am on my 3rd as well. One broken handle and a chip off the face of the paddle. Customer service at Joola is brutal! I love the paddle though. Their customer service is absolutely awful.

Completely agree with this review! I demoed both the 14mm Hyperion and the 14mm Vision, and ultimately enjoyed the Vision more. Got it at a great price and added a bit of weight.

The solaire and Ben John's 16mm are my two favorite paddles. I kind of wish they would make a solaire that is 16mm thick.

Excellent and transparent review IMO Will. Thank you. Personally just bought a SLK Halo Max Power and for the price think it's very hard to beat (I've had a Model E, Warrior Edge, and demoed others) and Halo stacks up very well at a great price.

I love the hyperion cfs 16mm the touch the feel it just upped my game. I had the swift still have the 16mm but feel that is so stiff and does not have the nice touch feeling. wanted to also demo the 14mm to see the difference. i wonder which would be better for singles

I loved my Vision 16, i played it hard for about 5 months, and i noticed it didn't have the spin as it used to... still a great paddle with a great feel, not as Poppy as the Hyperion out of the box, but still good.

Really appreciate the honesty in this video. I'm playing with the vision with lead tape on the throat + edge tape (not a significant weight add, but also not insignificant) and I've really enjoyed it. I got my Vision on sale for like $130 which was ridiculous value.

@level27xrock Год назад
Was hoping you'd say that haha! I currently use CX11E & 14E, which are great for singles for me, but in doubles I want something with a little more touch and feel for the soft dinks, volley drops, resets etc at the kitchen. The CX's I find can be a bit unforgiving in these areas for me. I tested out the CFS 16in some doubles play yesterday, I was liking the feel of that a lot at the kitchen, but my gut tells me I should try the CFS 14 as I typically like the thinner paddles :) Thanks for your response and your time!

I’d probably have to make that video explaining their lineup but basically the CFS paddles have the foam injection and they have to do a different adhesion process. But to be quite honest it doesn’t make a difference in performance in my opinion

How does this compare to the 14mm Crbn1?
@PickleballWill
@PickleballWill Год назад
I'd say the Hyperion has a more solid or substantial feel when hitting the ball and maybe just a tad more power. I think a more fair comparison would be the new 14mm CRBN1x as they both have foam injected into the edgeguard.
@jasonadolphus386
@jasonadolphus386 Год назад
@@PickleballWill that’s what I meant , the new 14mm Crbn1 paddle I do a lot of drives but still want to improve my soft game at the kitchen , I think the 16mm is too muted for my drives and too thick for moving quickly through the air like you said
@PickleballWill
@PickleballWill Год назад
Gotcha. Well I haven’t had extensive time with the new CRBNx lineup and I’ve actually only played with the 16mm CRBN1x and I actually think the new 16mm is comparable in power to the 14mm Hyperion but with a bit more of a muted feel. I’ve heard from other people that the new 14mm CRBNx are more powerful than the Joola Hyperion 14. But that’s just what I’ve heard and I wouldn’t base any purchase decisions on that alone haha
