The first thing that stands out about the Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16MM Pickleball Paddle is its well-sized sweet spot. This allows for consistent shots and easy ball placement, giving players the confidence to make aggressive plays. The paddle's construction also provides a good balance of power and control, making it ideal for players who want to improve their overall game.
The two cons of the Hyperion 16MM are that it is not a unibody paddle. Another con is that the grit on the paddle can wear off over time.

Thanks for your reviews. I like your laid back approach. I thought about the Ben John’s Hyperion Joola, but after some research I went with the Vatic Pro V7 16mm. I’m enjoying it!

Thanks for the review. I'm currently playing with the FS paddle 16mm, overall a great paddle just the surface grit surface wore off pretty fast. Hopefully, The new Perceus from joola can have a better weigh distribution compare with the Hyperion. Thank you

Joola is perfect for my game style...i like the heavy head, the control and the power. It is a perfect paddle for me. You can get the paddle now for $170. I'm contented.

The pricing was not for public consumption.. it was a hook up from 2 Joola Brand workers one is 170 and other 176 discounted from an original price. Sorry.

I am using the Legacy Pro since receiving it last month. Great paddle! I probably would have gone with the Joola BJ as a "safe" choice if it had not been for the fact that over 80% of the players at my club's open play have them. As a result, it's a constant, "Whose paddle is this one?" and causes delays between games.

Oh that would definitely get annoying lol. I definitely understand what you mean by it being a safe pick. You've been around the paddle so you knew you'd like it. That's how I was for the electrum model E. How do you like your Legacy pro?

@@gg80108 that certainly helps but there are only so many colors and with open play sessions of ~40+ people it still gets to be an issue when 3 people show up with the same Joola + yellow overgrip, etc.

Nice video! The Joola paddle was just a little to head heavy for my liking. Im currently using the Selkirk Power Air. I love the spin and depth I can get with it but it does take a lot to dial in the soft game 😂 I actually bought a legacy pro a couple of weeks ago and can’t wait for that to arrive this month! Keep up the great work!

I appreciate the kind comment! Ya its pretty head heavy so fast exchanges are alot harder with the Joola. My mom and another guy I know plays with the power air. It took them a while to get used to it lol. I love the Legacy Pro. It's got power to it but since you're used to the power air so the power won't matter to much to you I'd assume.

I bought a used Hyperion, and have been playing with it for a while. I modified and added the edge trim with elastic guard for more weight and helps absorb the vibration. I have tried different paddles, such as Vatic Pro, Ronbus R1, Diadem Warrior, Joola Perseus, Holbrook Mav Pro, and maybe few more, but I feel more comfortable playing with Hyperion (I like Selkirk Luxx, but it's too expensive). I like how Hyperion gives good control and power during games. I wish Joola would make a 20mm version of Hyperion.

I currently play with a XSPAK Tournament Edition that I paid $69 for. It plays identical to my CRBN1s so I keep them in the bag for serious play. I have the 16mm Vatic Pro on order to see how the newer thermoformed carbon fiber tech performs. Would have bought the new CRBNx but I refuse to pay $200 plus for a paddle. Paddles are not like tennis rackets where you can keep restringing them, paddles have a finite life so I will support the smaller companies with similar paddles.

I've heard the XSPAK is pretty good for the price. Its also hard to beat the Vatic price. The big companies are going to have to cut prices to compete unless people buy them based off of their name.

Got the Vantic. Wait for it. The hard edge makes mishits off the edge non exsistant! Better than J! Control and power in 8 oz! Get the carbon cleaner block, you be putting a hurtin on that ball!

Need to support companies that offer quality for reasonable price. CRBN is a small company. Their first line of paddles was proceed right, but the price hike of the 1X and 2X to $239 is ridiculous as are Selkirk paddles that sell for over $300. Too many new paddles selling now for over $200 and closer and closer to $300. Si the research because there are many good carbon face paddles for under $170

I have this paddle. Love everything about it except it has several dead spots around the edges. I had a local pro play with it just to make sure it wasn’t me….I got a dead one!

Do not buy, unless you are wealthy enough to change paddle every few months. I have a Joola 14mm Hyperion paddle which has issues of delamination and surface material peel-off issues early after purchase and Joola said it is normal. Normal for Ben but not for me as Ben get a new paddle every match.
