Joonas Korpisalo Shines | Game 4 Breakdown 

Matt. Joonas. Trent is becoming quite the leader and playmaker out there. Lohrei not impressive I've never seen Merkilov produce at a consistent level in the NHL. I've seen flashes of 'quasi-brilliance'. Which in hockey can translate to "Lucky bounces" It's likely my ignorance, yet I don't get the hype on him. I always hope I'm dead wrong in these opinions... I'm nobody. These athletes are awesome! And yes - michkov - last night's game prompted me to look into him. And I will continue to keep an eye on him. Especially when he's playing for John Tortorella!

I heard one of the PHI announcers say on one of the replays that it looks like Brunet crashed into Korpi keeping him from making a play. He faced 40 shots...a stat that is glaring on the sheet. Oh, and one of the goals (I believe the first one) was a bit of a misplay by Lohrei letting his man get behind him like that. But, hey, they're all tuning up. Cheers!

Well the underlying numbers under Monty say different. He activates the defense more which can cause odd man rushes. Last year the goaltending bailed them out a lot and won them more games than any system.

Ullmark analytics in Buffalo showed he was a very good goalie on a very bad team

@@bruinsdiehards I'm (half) joking - it's nearly October 1st. if they manage to come to an agreement, which I don't see unless somebody seriously gives in... he may start off as "backup" until he gets up to speed. That's sort of what I meant by that snarky comment. Anything can happen this season! Including him playing overseas. And actually I've been dying to ask you how his salary would work out if that happened but we're not at that bridge so I won't ask! Frankly, there's already negative water under this bridge this season. In Jeremy's interest, Playing overseas might be the best thing for this kid right now. Go clear his brain of all this negativity and get back to hockey. He is not incorrect that players need to be paid more. Wrong time,wrong place, wrong athlete to represent this cause. So go to Europe. Then pull a Tim Thomas! 😃 I'm not looking at just signing or not signing Jeremy right now - that's all everyone's talking about. Black or white - I dabble in the gray areas there's all kinds of things that can happen to keep him with the Bruins, keep him going as an athlete. Fans have turned on him - this is more than just stopping pucks now. I've always felt he needed more development, was not ripe when he came up to the NHL.. it was only because halak and Rask got knocked out by covid got jipped out of proper development and deprived of that Olympic experience. Became a fan favorite, sold a lot of jerseys and tickets -and they just sort of went with that hype. I think he needs more time to develop in the nhl. And he's getting screwed out of that opportunity by his agent! I'm trying to find a middle ground. Because there's a canyon between the two sides of this negotiation - always going to try to find the compromise, silver lining. Unless something pops EARLY this week, I don't see Jeremy signing and taking net as starter immediately Technically he would be back up for Korpisalo until he gets up to speed. Happy Sunday!
