@Stephen Walters No Trump encourages separation between races and our race was in slavery for hundreds of years, rape, beaten, killed, deprived of education, deprived of equal treatment, separated from their own family through trade and sell, we have good reason to pissed off right now.
Yo seeing this guy come up from the whole comedy scene especially Key and Peele series, seeing his accomplishments, him getting an Oscar for directing?! He came such a Long way and it’s just such an inspiration.
I don’t even like horror but I love his movies. I think he just created a whole new sub-sect of horror and that’s the kind that I like! His style is very distinct
He's actually going to write and direct another Candyman film. I'm not sure if it will be a direct sequel or a re-boot of it, but I"m really looking forward to that.
I attended the Premiere of “US” last night & it was Astounding!!! I was intensely holding onto the edge of my seat literally! He is the Black Alfred Hitchcock & Stephen King all rolled into one!!! His storytelling is Amazingly Spooky with an overshadow of realism. I ran out of the theater to my car looking over my shoulder. I was brave enough to go alone, which was totally insane! I arrived home thinking (I won’t give any details) she was lurking lol! Crazy huh but that is what a good thriller does, you take it with you. Excellent comeback following your debut!!! Keep delivering & No pressure Mr. Peele just continue to let the creative juices flow!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I watched it at the theaters alone too...well my 4 week old son was with me and I walked out scared too. I seen a sign far off and thought it was a human aka my doppelganger. I felt off for awhile. even driving home, it took a while to shake that feeling lol... I loved the movie!!! My son even stayed awake and watched the movie with me the whole time which is odd for a 4 week old but hey he knows what a good movie is lol. I immediately wanted to watch it again. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.
This man is a living legend. He's both a comedic genius and a masterful filmmaker. He is leading the new wave of horror and he deserves all the shine he's getting and more.
That's wild. I kind of had that same fear of a doppelgänger as a kid. At night, I would intentionally not look at mirrors to avoid the possibility of my reflection smiling back at me. Now, this movie comes out. It's ok though, I'm over it.
When I was a kid I was terrified that of sleeping w my parents cause I would look at their faces at night and my very imaginative 6 year old brain would make their faces distorted and devil like and Oof
I watched the movie early bc I work at a theater.... let me tell u all.... this movie was absolutely amazing. It’s exhausting how many clues and bread crumbs peele leaves early on in the movie for u to piece together in the end.... but the movie just was amazing. Peele is a genius and I’m definitely going to watch again. 10/10
Noah Pedmac meh the twist was kind of obvious as he stated multiple times that he's really inspired by twilight zone. That bait and switch ending where the kid realize his mom was a fucking clone all along...lazy. It would have worked better without it
I feel hes a comedic genius, a genre which he can dominate and live off easily, but something tells me that Horror and suspense is where his true passion is at. The amount of attention to detail and eeriness in this movie is impressive, especially how they introduced the first scene, a true masterpiece ! This movie was so metaphorical and profound that only a man like Jordan Peele could make it happen
I’m so proud of Jordan man, dude went from being mistreated by Mad TV with them blocking him from joining SNL to becoming Chappelle level of Comedy skit shows to an amazing an Oscar worth level or writer, director and producer.
I can't wait to watch this movie not a big fan of horror movies - but a Jordan Peele horror - must watch & like Seth I wish I watched Get Out in a movie theater with people
@@ineverswag - no not really, I don't like to be scared for the sake of being scared - just doesn't appeal to me. Get Out was different - a horror - but so intelligent and clever and deep and....
well @Ash Settle - John Peele disagrees with you “[It was] very important for me to have a black family at the center of a *horror film* ,” Peele told the audience in Los Angeles, according to Gizmodo. “But it's also important to note this movie, unlike Get Out, is not about race
I went to watch get out by myself in a theatre , and the only other person was an old black lady, o I’m a young white guy. Idk why that’s relevant , but I’m just stating the facts
During my intern year in psychiatry, there was a young girl who believed her real parents were poisoned, killed, and replaced by doppelgängers . She thought her “parents” were always trying to poison her too. It was very sad, but so fascinating at the same time. Her parents were devastated of course, they would visit her and bring her food but she never eats any of it. The human mind is truly fascinating.
baddmanaz funny you should say that... he’ll be hosting the new Twilight Zone series on CBS All Access which starts April 1st. But I’m guessing you already knew that😉
I’m not making the mistake of looking at any articles about this film before I see it. Accidentally looked at one about “Get Out” and one “body snatchers” reference RUINED IT.
As a kid, I read somewhere that doppelgangers are bad omens. Like if you see yourself, especially if yourself looks really sick or injured, you're going to die. So yeah I've been creeped out by doppelgangers for awhile too. I'm so excited for this, hoping to see it this weekend.
I think Alicia Silverstone did one in early 2000's and there are some other older movies or tv episodes that deal with the subject from 60-70's era if I recall.
People: “He’s telling US to Get out of the U.S “ Jordan: “There’s already a get out ride it’s called America” People: 😂😂 Nah that’s not what he meant. Wake up people‼️‼️🗣
I've always wanted to meet my doppelganger but I always assumed they would be nice and we'd see each other on an airplane and be like "whaaaat!" then we'd take pics for Instagram, I'd be super bummed if they tried to kill me.
Ideas for Get out ride 1) Spinning tea cups 2) Sit in strapped chair and move though the inside and outside of the house though the movie 3) Maze though the house (not haunted house)
Horor movies are not really that popular anymore so I think it's just lack of interest. I mean I like them but it's not the craze it was a couple of years ago
but what about The Babadook, or Hereditary, or The Witch - or Get Out itself? Horror is the one form of cinema that seems to still be fresh these past few years...
Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey true. I loved all those movies too (you listed some of my favorites from the last few years) but I love horror movies so I guess I just want good ones to come out a lot more often.
@@terriej123 Well I love original content and supporting lower budget films, so if horror is where I can mostly likely get them both, then I'm happy to say I'm a horror fan too!
The trailer for this strange movie really looked SPOOKY as hell. Can't wait to rent this. Cannot believe Jordan Peele of Key & Peele Show is now writing / directing / starring in his own movies. Way to represent, sir!
It was too illogical even though I enjoyed the film. Made very little sense and he purposely choose not to explain it in the film. The was no real clear breakdown of where these clones/doppelganger came from.
Remember when drinking tea was a innocent thing? Then Kermit the Frog came along and changed that narrative. Shortly after that, Get Out was released in theaters and raised the bar on tea even being in your presence.
US was basically a perfect film. i'm actually trembling thinking about it.... its an amazing concept. wonderful execution, unbelievable design. i LOVE your approach to film making mr. peele and i would love to work with you at universal pictures sometime!
