What do you think Donald Trump's motivations were in his 2016 presidential run? To buy my books, including Thomas Paine: A Lifetime of Radicalism, check out my online bookstore: davidbenner.square.site
His goal was to fix things. He can walk into complex situations, analyze what was going on, and take action to fix it. He works well as the boss, not so much as a team player.
Trump had delt with the working class his entire career in real estate. He needed them then to build his empire, and in doing so, he had developed a mutually respectful relationship with them. They are his 'empire family.' Trump has watched his middle working class family get crapped on for decades and feels an obligation to protect them/us. We recognize he is our champion. He speaks our language. Trump 2016, 2020, & 2024. MAGA.
Was it perhaps odd that JP called out the lack of real journalism to properly report on Trump to a journalist who was somewhat doing that? Taibbi isn't a fan of Trump but he at least can still maintain journalistic integrity. I wish people would give Trump a chance, I bet he'd surprise you. He may actually try and succeed in fixing aspects of America that became broke over the last 20-30 years.
Give him a chance? What was his first term if not "a chance"? He didn't exactly fail as a president but he didn't do enough to convince most that he was worth a second shot. Only Biden's dementia did that 😂 it's sad and scary what America has become
Trump practically invented the culture war, and Afghanistan war continued through his whole term, while he negotiated with the Taliban. You have gone blind.
@@hanknorris5642TDS means nothing if you just throw it at people for simply not liking trump. It's as if you're arrogant enough to assume you are not deranged yourself 😂
Jordan! For God's sake. You are a psychologist. Haven't you diagnosed Trump as a hopeless sociopathic liar yet? i don't understand why you keep looking for a good side. The man needs to be condemned, not encouraged. With power, he's dangerous.
What did he do in four years as POTUS that was so terrible? I'm not saying he isn't terrible, you are saying he is, so where's the pudding that proves it? Perhaps it's because you are not a psychologist that you misdiagnosed him as a hopeless sociopathic liar ..I agree with liar, but hopeless? How do you win an election by being hopeless exactly?
