A bit. I think even brilliant people like Jordan downplay Trump’s brilliance. I do agree with his critique of our often worship of our presidents and First Ladies. But IMHO, Trump took a lot of that *down* a notch. And so did Melania. Though she is beautiful, smart and successful in her own right, I never got the sense as I did with certain other First Ladies (cough! Obama), that she thought of herself as royalty. They Trumps never gave me an air of a “Royal couple” (again, unlike certain other couples who *still* do: cough again: Obamas and Clintons). For me, Trump, in spite of his showmanship, just feels like a real person doing his duty and his job. Just serving his country. While a very different style and personality, more like President Reagan (and go see REAGAN! A great movie. Ignore the critics).
Trump delivers on his promises. He was chosen in 2016 from a group 16 of lying politicians. Maxwell tries to lump him in with them. Trump isn't a bully. He is a counter puncher. There is a big difference.
It’s not so hard to be a real estate mogul when your father handed you the keys to the kingdom along with $400 million. Anyone who actually understands policy knows trump knows nothing about it, aside from “build the wall,” which I’m not necessarily opposed to. Trump’s economic policy is the same old, tired, trickle down theory that hasn’t worked since Reagan imposed it.
I'd love German journalists to see this. As Jordan demonstrates, you can see all of Trump's flaws without hyperventilating with hysteria. Like, actually be analytical about the man instead of trying to convince me that he is either a joke or evil or both.
But only if someone had not instigated the 6th january insurrection; had not scammed students; had not evaded tax; had not slept with a pornstar and simultaneously preach morality to others.....😮😮😮😮
@@nupjohn Biden was accused of the above evil deeds, but never convicted of any of them. According to his young daughter, Biden showered with her, but she never pressed charges for this obvious sexual abuse of his daughter. Biden is scum.
I don't consider Trump to be a bully, cause when people are well-intentioned towards him, he's very sensible and respectful. He TURNS into a bully whenever people try to put him down or ridicule him. To me, that's just common sense and being smart.
@@MsYeiriYeah, I mean he is a go getter. Deal maker. He might bend the rules from time to time. But there is no one like him. And he has a good heart. Honestøy I think he is the embodiment of the US. The single most patriotic man ever. Mt rushmore is incomplete as of now
@daviddavis2648 - why is it okay for everyone to attack Trump, but he can't respond? Because Trump is a counter puncher, he only goes after someone that attacks him first.
Peterson's estimation of the role of the First Lady is way off the mark. The reason the position is important is because of the heritage of outstanding First Ladies, e.g., Dolley Madison, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jacqueline Kennedy. More recently, Rosalynn Carter used her prominence as First Lady to write a well received book on how to be a caregiver. Those First Ladies made big contributions. They're Americans.
But why does the role exist at all? What if the President is unmarried? If you have a female president, will there be a First Husband fulfilling the same role?
@@jrd33 Doug Emhoff will be the First Gentleman, and I am sure he will put his attorney skills to good use. An unmarried president is a Michael Douglas movie.
Trump sat down for Lex Fridman's podcast and it's dropping today at 1PM. He also went on Theo Von's podcast, so I would love to see him sit down with Jordan Peterson before the election. I think it's great that our politicians are engaging with long form podcast formats.
@@stlrecon2475 Don’t forget RFK Jr… that man has literally hours of podcast content from the entire year and longer. I’m discovering new podcasts I didn’t know about just by searching for RFK and podcasts.
Lex didn't probe Trump isn't offering anything more than bravura, if he had humility he would get a 2nd chance. Like when Lex asks why should people vote for you he just bags the opposition, that's not answering the question - very lazy answer
@@TB1M1 That's fair.. I wasn't blown away by all his answers. But at least he is taking the time to engage the format, and Lex is setting the table for this kind of conversation. This should be a normal part of the election process going forward for all politicians.
Every Trump hater I've met has the same MO: they watch the Trump-hating media, listen to them offer a new claim against him every day, present them with tiny snippets of information and tell them exactly how to interpret it, and they just uncritically believe and parrot it verbatim. They still all believe that Trump called Nazis "very fine people" - not one of them bothering to watch the actual video where he said the exact opposite in no unclear terms. There wasn't even room for misinterpretation. But you can point out countless incidents where they were caught red-handed lying about Trump and their only reaction is to refuse to think about it.
He has stiffed working men his whole life, sexually assaulted at least one woman, cheated on his wives, tried to set up alternate electors to stay in power, told his nephew he should let his son die, called dead and wounded troops suckers and losers, called John McCain a loser for being captured, bankrupted 8 or more business, many who have worked with him have said he is just an awful human being. But you like him because…
Trump already did the perfect interview. It was a conversation, not an interview. And that's why it worked. Thank you Elon Musk. He certainly doesn't need to go low-brow Joe Rogan. Nobody needs to see that.
@@justinwilson1930 The single-most important topic on the planet is the most suppressed topic on the planet, and Joe won't dare touch it with his platform, despite there being quite a number of guests that could come on to speak intelligently toward it, which is cowardice.
@@justinwilson1930Joe has said that his parents would be angry if he interviewed Trump. That’s a sad statement. It would be nice to hear from Kamala (for more than 10 minutes) and Trump on his podcast.
I suspect Trump will go on Rogan, but is waiting to time it later in the cycle when it will have even more impact. Personally, I'd love to see him do Coleman Hughes's podcast. His audience tends to be the intellectual type who instinctively dismisses Trump and reflexively believes all the negative hype about him from the "right" sources, so I think a real honest conversation w/ Coleman would shatter many people's paradigms.
Joe Rogan is too scared to have him on. It really is that simple. He doesn’t want the heat that it will bring. I think Joe is really good. But he’s also strangely dumb and cowardly at times. Like all of us.
RU-vid comment section is littered with people who are claiming to be smarter than both Trump AND JP. One made his way to POTUS, the other has millions of followers and fans... but random RU-vid commenters are smarter huh?
It would be great to have Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson mediate a presidential debate with everyone who is on enough ballots to win the electoral college.
Not a native to the US, however, right now, we need someone to bring world peace. Love him or hate him, we require peace. Trump & RFK will do this. Much love to you all.
You are naive in the extreme if you think those two clowns could bring world peace. If re-elected Trump will bow down to Putin’s demands and give him the opportunity to gather strength before continuing his expansionist ambitions. Of course Putin’s ultimate goal is to bring about the downfall of the US as revenge for the collapse of his beloved Soviet Union, whom he rightfully blames on the US.
You are exactly right! KH wants to tax unrealized gains...this is to punish those that have more to "equalize" things. KH also wants other policies that smack of communism....because KH is a Marxist. That "word salad" about "unburdened by what once was" is from a Karl Marx.
That's what I heard about President Trump, he built NY skyscrapers below costs and on time, and he was hands on in the projects. That means he's not corrupt and has high work ethics! President Trump for all his flaws, you can trust him. Trump even took on building that NY ice skating rink when no others took the project, and it was left sitting there. New Yorkers loved Trump when he was a Democrat until he ran as a Republican president in 2016.
I disagree on the corrupt part. How you say that means he is not corrupt. He surely invited a lot of corrupt buddies into the agencies while saying drain the swamp. Yes, Dems turned on him. He wasn't always Dem either though. For me, no, I cannot trust him 100%. Huge former supporter until 4 years ago. I hope he honors this unity with Bobby. I hope he is being genuine and learned from many mistakes the past 8 years. As far as New York, Kennedy has sued him twice. He had no regard for anything, but his businesses. This is part of our corruption. And New Yorkers loving him as a Dem, is not a compliment to him. But I get you are trying to point out a hypocrisy.
Go watch him on The View before he won presidency. They were fawning all over him. Giving him kisses. Showing him love. Now they act like complete psychopaths.
We do not need to make Trump a demigod. We The People are the ONLY power in the US and the government is our indentured servants. We give them their power and can take it away from them. If our elected representatives do not like this, they can freely leave at any time.
KH said she is going to tax your unrealized gains....are you just going to ignore that until the IRS shows up...and then what?...tell them you disagree? lol
I don't think he meant talent; he meant fame. There are many people with tremendous talent who never get anywhere in life. Fame comes from marketing, not talent, especially pre- social media. Talent is (usually) necessary, but not sufficient for fame. The Col made Elvis famous and wealthy, and -- yes -- took a large piece of that wealth for himself. But, in context of fe and fortune, he did "make" Elvis. And arguably destroyed him too.
My feel about Trump is why blue collar people get him. He's a developer, he talks to brickies, plumbers, people who work with their hands. If you hit him, he hits back harder. He does not give a shit. He's not a diplomat that say nice things. Another thing, is his boomer humour. He speaks like my dad, no filter, says everything that goes through his head and think he is funny like china flu or Kommie Kamala (some of it is) and laughs at his own jokes.
Seems to me Jordan means the element of being slightly unpredictable and possibly irascible can be a positive when dealing with a vicious dictator. Not all "international heads of states" are Sunday school teachers.
BE SURE TO LET AMERICAN WOMEN KNOW HOW AFGHANI WOMEN ARE BEING TREATED UNDER THE RESURRECTED TALIBAN OCCUPATION, EVER SINCE THE BIDEN-HARRIS WITHDRAWAL.
He's a 13 year old bully. People who are impressed by that love him. Grown ups aren't. If he gets credit for no wars started globally then he gets blame for a global pandemic because that's fair and balanced.
People love him because he seems to be the only rampart to this woke gender globalist nightmare. He also has great communication skills (I know what I am talking about). Personally I can't figure out what's hiding behind this weird personality. Probably a mixture of good and bad.
@@pholippe1441 if he's the only thing standing between Americans and woke sickness then America is lost. He's a speed bump at best. He communicates like a drunk teenager which may be relatable to the rabble but it's unimpressive and unpresidential af. All people are a mix of good and bad but most people don't have as dismal s track record.
@@ScottByther Hi, I'm not sure about Trump. Not easy to asses someone through videos. I know he 's a brilliant communicator (on the second level if that means anything to you), he's not very cultivated, has the integrity of a businessman and I don't like his family circle. Maybe he has a dark spirit but I can't help thinking that having all the media and establishment against him is a green light. Honestly I can't stand professional politicians, maybe that's the reason I don't despise him.....
@@pholippe1441 I thought he was an insipid con man 40 years ago when the media and establishment loved him and before he went pro as a con man in politics. If you haven't figured that out yet perhaps it's because he communicated otherwise and you bought it. I'm glad the rest of the world is finally catching up to my opinion of the "man" except of course for the easily manipulated tools he depends upon for cover. Fortunately he'll be a fading memory soon
I love Don. He is a bully and a clown with some narcissistic traits but a lot of it is his sense of humor which a lot of people don't seem to understand, but he's no dictator and certainly not stupid. He is full of empathy and a true patriot who does what he does for the love of his country, when he could be doing something else. And he wants peace, and what he believes is best for the people, and he gets the job done. A true leader. Biden and Kamala are just puppets.
Scary u said emperor like worship. We owe our allegiance to the constitution to the US and the president is the elected leader to uphold it and be true to us. We the people. always and forever
Charlatan, conman, bully, narcissist, convict….but Jordan is just in complete awe of Trump’s “charisma” while remaining curiously blind to Trump’s total lack of integrity and persistent malevolence. This really doesn’t speak well for Jordan’s judgement or morality. Sad and embarrassing.
Greatest Statesman since Churchill. Trump is no con man. What you see is exactly what you get, screw him around and pay the price, work with him and succeed. No wars, great economy, Abraham accords but the establishment couldn't stand that, they had to get rid of him and bring back war and inflation, the things that the establishment elite thrive on.
Well it's good to hear from an amateur criticizing a professional. Jordan had everyone almost praising him as a genius. Then something funny happened on the way to the forum.. They discovered Jordan was a conservative. Oh no! Then they discovered he was a Christian. A bigger oh no. Finally and lastly, they discovered he was a Trump supporter, just like Musk and other people who have become successful in life. Well that was the final unforgiveable straw! But it was too late. He had surpassed Marshall McLuhan as Canada's premier number one genius. Like Trump, the more they try to stop him, the stronger Jordan gets. God bless both of them.
I don't think the Colonel was the cause of Elvis' death, but he certainly messed up his career. Elvis died young, just like his mom and his daugher, so there is a genetic component there, plus he was a pill addict. However, the Colonel took a large portion of Elvis' earnings and he should have fired him or at least forced the Colonel to renegotiate their agreement at the height of his fame. With the millstone of the Colonel's lucrative contract and Elvis' penchant for being overly generous meant that he was on the stage peforming more than he should have been.
I used to have so much respect for Peterson and then somehow he changed. I don't get his clothing either. I also don't know why he has to close his eyes when he speaks? Trump is indeed the most famous person on the planet Earth. I think all things considered he had managed it quite well especially since he is hated so much. Years ago, this was long before Trump ran for president, someone said the most famous people in history were Jesus, Elvis, and Donald Trump.
@itsme, so you’d be fine with antifa storming the Capitol and Biden invoking Presidential immunity and then stopping the transfer of power if Harris loses, right? The SC says the President is immune from prosecution.
Wow. Peterson has a PhD in clinical Psychology, and has positioned himself as a go-to public intellectual, and THIS is his analysis of Trump? The world’s premiere and most notorious example of malignant sociopathic narcissism? And all he cares about is what he experienced in the buzz of basking in the aura of trump’s grandiose sense of HIS entitled sense of ‘Me-ness’, and the dark light of his celebrity charisma? You’ve had some good ideas, in general, Jordan, but your estimations of Trump as a person, and his worth, are not one of them.
My favourite form of coco pops is when the milk has just infused enough with the coco pops that the meal straddles the line between food and drink. Is Milo a food or a drink? These are statements and questions that I always wanted to ask my father but didn't get the opportunity. Will you be my Dad? He's still alive, I've just always been too embarrassed to posit or ask.
Well he can’t do the same analysis for Kamala cuz that twit won’t even do an interview. When she does speak publicly, she sounds more looney than Biden.. Judge Joe Brown said she tried to hike her skirt up to every politician that came around. As a matter of fact, that is the only way she has gotten her roles in the political world and more than likely, how she got to be VP.

Hey, hope I'm not interrupting your "brain dump" from CNN...or whoever...Trump says things plainly and "sensitive types" start crying and discerning types see what he means. Now go away and whimper. Trump is incredibly accurate but YOU would never know.
He only does it to the powerful evil elite not to the common people. Guess you missed it. That's why the common people love him. He's smart enough not to insult the voters, unlike Obama, Hillary, Biden and basically all the left who look down on those Jesus called "the salt of the earth." "Cling to their bibles and guns" "Basket of deplorables" "Smelly Walmart shoppers" etc., etc.
Peterson says, "Trump is an unbelievable 15 old bully...he's almost a psychopath." Yet, Person obviously ADMIRES Trump. Very strange for someone who's supposed to be a professional psychologist.

Jordan Peterson's view of world has pre-determined. He thinks women's places belong to staying at home and raising children, and he believes LGBTQ is against the nature's law, and he'd definitely hate Doug Emhoff supporting and campaigning for his wife. So it's no wonder that he supports Trump.
